Lower Realms, Spirit Hive, Spirit World, A few years back,

A few hours before Kai Syaoran began his plan to survive the Heavenly Annihilation, Lin Jun and the Slaughter Empress returned to the Spirit World from Limina after years of being stranded.

Lin Jun, being one of Kai Syaoran's incarnations, already knew what was about to happen and what had been going on. He had earned the Slaughter Empress' trust after all the time they had spent together fighting for their survival against the creatures of the night created by the God of death, Whiro.

The first thing they saw after returning was the terrible clash of power from all the fighting taking place in the Spirit World. The capital city of the Yulong Empire was in chaos with everyone preparing for the worst. The princes were still fighting for control over the empire.
