On the Going Merry, the peaceful atmosphere was only broken by Ace's continuous panting as he powered through his push-ups.
"Switch to sit-ups," I said, slightly speechless. He'd been doing push-ups non-stop for half an hour. Ace nodded and smoothly transitioned, already familiar with the exercises I'd shown him earlier.
While he was training, I sensed Luffy and others coming here.
"Ace!" Luffy called out, grinning as he saw his brother. Ace paused, looking up at him. "Luffy," he nodded back. Luffy came closer, concern flickering in his eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"I am," Ace replied, and the two brothers began chatting, while the rest of the pirate crew joined in.
Zoro and the others raised their brows, clearly curious. "Hey! Didn't you say you'd invite your crew? But it's clear you're just enjoying yourself here with a bunch of women," Nami said, crossing her arms. Vivi also frowned, giving me a questioning look.
"They're my crew," I replied with a shrug. "Why don't you all have a friendly spar?" I suggested, ignoring their questioning stares.
"Anyway, let me introduce them first," I added, cutting off any more questions as I began the introductions.
I first pointed at Francis Drake "meet my vice-Captain, Francis Drake"
"Yo~" She said as others nodded to her.
"Next is Wendy, my doctor," I said, introducing Wendy, who nodded at the crew, receiving respectful nods in return. Sanji glanced over at Chopper, their doctor, and clicked his tongue.
"Why don't we have a cute doctor too?" he thought to himself.
"She's Valeria, our mechanic, you could say," I continued. Valeria waved cheerfully. "How're you guys doing?" she greeted, and they welcomed her with smiles.
"This is Ranko, our cook," I introduced, as Ranko nodded politely and bowed to them. The crew, a bit awkwardly, returned the greeting with bows of their own.
"And lastly, Artemis, our archer," I pointed over to Artemis, who was still asleep, completely oblivious to the introductions.
Everyone looked at big bust and innocently looking girl and wondered if she is an archer or not.
"As I suggested before, why don't you guys have a fight?" I said, and Luffy immediately perked up, excited.
"I want to! I want to!" he shouted eagerly. Francis looked at him with a grin and asked, "Are you the captain?" Luffy nodded enthusiastically.
Then, Francis stepped forward and declared, "I'll fight you." Luffy nodded, brimming with excitement.
With a snap of my fingers, I created a floating platform on the sea nearby. Luffy leapt onto it, while Francis flew over to join him, both ready to begin their spar.
The rest of us—minus a sleeping Artemis—watched intently as the fight began.
On one side stood Francis Drake, ready with her magic and unique abilities, and on the other was Luffy, wielding his new cursed energy from the Jujutsu Kaisen world.
"Who do you think will win?" Zoro asked.
"It'll be Francis," I replied. "Luffy has the power, but he doesn't have the experience yet." Zoro nodded in agreement.
Francis readied her flintlock and gave a confident smile. "I'm ready—attack whenever you want," she called out. Luffy grinned, charging forward as he launched his first attack at her.
Luffy charged at Francis with all the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store, fists flying. "Gomu Gomu no—" he shouted, preparing to unleash one of his signature moves.
Francis, however, remained calm, a confident smirk on her face. As Luffy swung his fist towards her, she deftly dodged to the side, her movements fluid and precise. "Nice try, rubber boy!" she teased, flipping over him and landing behind.
She raised her flintlock, channeling her magic through it. "Magic Shot!" she declared, firing a burst of energy that Luffy barely managed to deflect with a quick stretch of his arm, but the force of the blast sent him stumbling backward.
"Okay, that was just a warm-up!" Luffy shouted, determination flashing in his eyes as he got back on his feet. He twisted his body, launching another attack. "Gomu Gomu no—Jet Pistol!"
But Francis was already two steps ahead. With a flick of her wrist, she conjured a shield of shimmering energy that absorbed the impact. She countered instantly, sending a wave of magical energy that knocked Luffy off balance, making him crash onto the platform.
The spectators gasped, watching as Luffy struggled to regain his footing. "Come on, Luffy! You can do better than that!" I called out, hoping to encourage him.
Luffy shook his head, a grin still plastered on his face. "Alright, alright! I'm just getting warmed up!" He lunged at her again, but Francis anticipated his move. With a swift motion, she conjured a torrent of wind that sent him tumbling back once more.
"Is this really the best you've got?" Francis taunted playfully, enjoying the spar. She spun her flintlock like a baton, ready for the next exchange.
Luffy, now slightly more serious, focused his cursed energy. "Alright, let's turn it up!" he exclaimed, launching himself forward with a flurry of punches. Yet, each of his strikes was met with skillful evasions and counterattacks from Francis, who used her agility and magic to outmaneuver him effortlessly.
The battle became a dazzling display of agility and strategy. Francis danced around Luffy, dodging punches while delivering her own attacks, each one landing with precision. "You've got strength, but it's all about technique!" she called out as she executed a spinning kick that sent him flying backward once again.
The scene continued to repeat even after Luffy used his Cursed energy as to counter it Francis used her mana.
I shook my head as the result was clear, Luffy kept attacking but not even one attack reached her, not to mention Francis still has to take out her big guns.
She is using her flintlock lie a normal one after all, not using the canons even.
She even has sheathed her saber, not interested in bullying Luffy with it, who kept missing.
"Alright, any more than it and it will be pointless" I said as Luffy nodded " I will defeat you next time" he said as Francis shrugged.
