Kings

Months passed, each of the respective kingdoms already sends their message to take some of the heroes. Yatanagi and the other already being split up, each group contains 6 people that choose the place they want to go.

Everyone is saying goodbye to each other. I only look at them, since Yatanagi staying at Aqerra I could have talked with him anytime. It's not like I use him but I also need information I can get from him about the other classmates. Yatanagi is the right person. Also, a good friend to talk to, I respect him.

In these last few days, I could feel some changes, either after I met and get to know Arlette and Elise or Friend to talk to which is Yatanagi. How do I know that?

Because I still couldn't get experience by training. I only got the mastery, so I sneak out at night to kill some criminals running in town. When I return back to the palace, Elise and Arlette had no reaction after looking at my expression.

Now, our relationships are quite close. Even though I still couldn't sleep with them, but they usually sneak around into my room. It's not like I let them, but I can't feel it if there's no ill intent.

Tomorrow will be the ceremony day. The city is packed, rumor has been going around the town that the Princess is engaged. People want to see who's the lucky guy but since my status that going around as a hero. The citizen didn't sound any kind of rejection. For them, the hero is a symbol of peace.

Even though like that, I could see that the other kingdom will try to restrain the hero to not leaving their kingdom.

Arlette will be living together with me and Elise. After the ceremony tomorrow, we will move with a carriage to the west side of the city.

The place is quite close to the academy where the hero would attend their study. I could also attend the academy but seems like I only need to look inside their library for a potential spell.

These people put magic like body enchantment as trash, since Fighter didn't have much mana and intelligence status. Mage ignores their physical status because mage always stays behind the group. They didn't train much in physical strength.

Since I learn body enchantment looking for scum targets and killing them become much easier. I could even kill them before they detect my bloodlust but my status contributes to it too. Because now reaching level 10 and the crime rate becomes lower and some noble become quite.

Some of the criminals that caught people to be sold as a slave are on the top of the list. I kill them and free the slave and show them where they could go.

I could send them to the village to let them live there. Start a new life, but I won't guarantee they will be safe forever. Some now working for me, gathering information. While some people decide to sell their body in a brothel which I own right now.

Then today, I sneak out of the palace. With my status right now, it makes me sneak easier. I use a robe with a hood to cover up my face and went toward the slum area.

I went to a particular building that hidden with every corner. I knock at the door, and someone opens a gap "Password."

"Listen in the loudest place to hear the whisper." I said to the guy. He quickly opens the gate and welcomes me in. "This way.". He shows me toward the third floor and stops right at another door.

"I will take it from here." I said to him and he starts to walk down. I knock on the door and a woman's voice could be heard "Who?" she gave a short question to sound rude. Then I answer her "It's me.".

Then I could hear she hurried to the door and open it. "Master, what makes you come here? Is it another information?" There's a beautiful woman wearing revealing clothes. Her red hair and grey eyes could enchant everyone. Even with her body that well developed.

"Lily, had you been organizing everything? How about the apprentice?" I said while taking a seat. She quickly nods "Yes she work hard since you saved her. Now she's out on her work."

"Good, you will be moving office." I said to her. She quickly looked at me with a surprised face "Are you finally accepting me, master?". "Shut up, No way I will walk from the west side of the city down to the southeast part of the city. You're killing me." I said while explaining the situation.

"Right, you can be my maid then. Tell your apprentice to send the information through a merchant. You can do it, right? I will make your own living place later." I said to her. Her eyes glimmer "Is it true I will be living with you master? I could help you relax right now." Lily keeps pushing herself to me.

"Anyway, is there any new information?" I ask her. "No, master. Since the last time you come here, there's no big news that worth your concern. I had to take care of it myself." Lily said assuring me while lowering her head.

"Are the people you capture downstairs in the basement?" I ask her. I put my trust in her since she actually is my slave after I free her from her former master. She refuses to remove the slave collar and demand working for me. By making her my slave, she would get my trust by default. I modify her slave collar not to look like a dog collar but instead more like a tight necklace on her neck.

Lily then nods at me while we move to the basement. No one dares to ask what we do in the basement since the person that guarding the gate could hear people screaming when we went down there.

Of course, I'm not interrogating them like usual. Only killing them for my experience while asking Lily their crime. Lily did all the interrogating.

"Right, You can get the information when to move. I will be quite busy tomorrow, maybe the day after that would be good." I said and left her there. She smiles and escorts me out.

I went back to the palace and get some rest. I woke up and no one sneaks into my room. As a result, my arms didn't feel numb. I can quickly get ready.

I get down to the dining room. Only Leon, Edlyn, George, and Aine are there. Kieth and Lynna already went back home leaving Elise here. I greet all of them and take a seat.

Since we still waiting for Arlette and Elise. Leon starts a conversation first "Are you ready, Arthur? You will ride beside me toward the harbor."." Sure, is it because we're going to meet with the other king?" I said nonchalantly.

"Hahaha... Good. You don't seem nervous." Leon said then Arlette and Elise went inside. Both of them took a seat beside me. "Let's eat first. Then we're going to discuss it, Father." I said while we to eat.

At midday, the bell starts ringing. One by another, the sound rang throughout the city. Everyone starts cheering since they got to see their hero which said to save the world.

Edlyn, Arlette, and Elise get inside the carriage. Leon wears his armor with a lightning pattern. While I ride a horse behind him and followed by the carriage then the heroes.

"You looked different, Father." I said teasing him but seems had no effect "Not now, Arthur.". " Fine, serious face right?" I said giving up.

The door opens and the cheer of people became even louder. The soldier already opens a path toward the harbor. We ride slowly while the hero greets the cheers by waving their hand.

The ride went smoothly until some boy get thrown into the middle of the road. The soldier starts shouting at the kid to let him move away. I get down from my horse and walk toward the boy.

He scared and stood still. I smile at him, and I could see some of his friends laughing at him. I cast heal on him while patting his head "Grow strong boy. Now let's go to the side." I said while walking the kid to the side then went back to my horse.

Leon looked at me while I get on my horse again. I notice his gaze and ask "What?". He kept his poker face and said "Nice one boy, now we continue the ride.".

The ride continues until we arrive at the harbor. The five ships from other kingdoms already arrive. All their leader stood at the front of the ship. Leon gets down from his horse and I follow.

All the King get down from their ship with their family and their guards. "It's been a long time, King Lightning Leon." The elf king greets him. 'Heee... is it really that rare to learn lightning? Even though I already learn it.' I thought since the title given to Leon.

"Yes, it's been a long time. Alosrin Rokas." Leon greets him back. Now that I observe my surroundings, all of the kingdoms had a daughter each. While Beastman also brings 2 of his sons, and Dragonoid brings his son and daughter. Their daughters are all beautiful princesses I would say.

Edlyn and Arlette already get down from the carriage while Elise stays behind. "So, this is your family?" While Alosrin asks. I could notice that his guards looked arrogant.

Their gaze looked down on all people around. Soon the other King also arrive. They greet each other. "Oo ya... Isn't your first child a girl, Leon?" King Beastman said.

"Ah yeah, You're right, Ogoro. This is my son-in-law." Leon said introducing me. While they looked chatting like usual the mana around them clashing each other. They keep clashing but still use some to cover their family.

They're truly king, at least I won't stand a chance if it's me, months ago. "Ho! So, he's the one you talk about. Even though this kind of talk needs more time. I don't think my daughter would agree if he's weaker than her." King Dragonoid said.

Then Ogoro, the beastman king also follows up "My daughter might not be looking for a stronger man but her brothers might come in the way. I'm also sorry.".

"About us Merfolk, well actually. She only cares for looks so, we can still talk about it." Merfolk King said. Then Elf guard even talking before their king "We don't need a lowly race to get into our family. I can't even feel any mana from him.".

Alosrin just smiles. Looked like it's his order to test our patience. "Sorry, about our guard, but my daughter kinda picky. I can't join the talk."

"We don't need such talk, We, Suntalia Kingdom come here only to take the hero to our kingdom." The Suntalia King said. He looked more like a military man.

The king realizes by the talk that they can't even felt any mana leaking from me and throwing a glance at me. I forgot about it and start to leak some according to an above-average human.

Ogoro came to me "Haha... You're not bad for a human, kid. Grow strong..." He taps my shoulder but jumps back.

Everyone noticed this and glances at Ogoro. He laughs silly, "Ahahaha... I think I forgot to talk about this with my wife. Sorry everyone made you worry."

I keep my non-emotion face. Leon then said to break the awkward moment "Then, let's call the hero. They already choose the place they want to go to. With this not only they would grow faster, but we could also push the demon from all sides."

My classmates already saying goodbye to each other once more before lining up to their chosen ship to embark. They then start the journey toward their respective kingdom and waving their hand.

The king looked toward the harbor, not at Leon but to me, it looks like no one buys Ogoro's acting. Before letting them go. I control my mana toward the Elf guard to make them unconscious.

Since no one buying it, I will punish that one. While turning around and went back to my horse. Leon also came to me "Busted ha?".

"Yeah, never expected that King would get a jump scare like that. Then, we should part away too, father?" I said while patting my horse. Leon then nods "Yeah, there's another carriage for us. You can go inside the one Elise ride right now. I will visit often." Leon said while the soldier prepares the carriage.

Edlyn says goodbye to Arlette and while Arlette keeps her noble stature I could see her determined face. The three of us went inside the carriage and took off to the distance while The hero that stay also took the same path halfway.

One thing I got from talking with Yatanagi. I even forget a thing about Earth, after being reborn here. Maybe since I'm too happy with my family.

When we arrive, I could see the place. I can't believe such a place exists inside the city. It's more like a home close to the mountain range. Too big, so many spaces but it's perfect for me.

The carriage gets past the gate and reaches the mansion that will be our new home. Opening the door, we got a greeting from maids and butler. Even the butler already old. "Welcome home, Master."

I want to keep my straight face but remembering their paper for volunteering to become my maid made me got a headache.

"Right, since I'm the master here. I will order some of you and don't question my order but I won't push you to do the thing you don't want to." I said while Arlette confuses and glances at me. Elise didn't really know what to do in this situation.

"First, Como." I call the butler. "You can go home and bring your wife tomorrow here." I said made him confuse. At first, he thought I don't want him but when he heard me saying to bring his wife. He looked at me even more confused.

"I have read all of your paper. You don't have any family left. What are you doing leaving your wife alone at home?" I said scolding him. I could guess he wants to work for some period of time to buy some house in the village and live together without worry about money.

So, I decided he will work to watch the gate while also I made him a house there. I like decorating my own house space. The thing I forgot from Earth. You want a nice environment that you live in.

"Now, for all of you girls. 12 of you actually wrote the same thing. I can't even think anymore. I know all of you want to escape poverty and live in luxury but that's not how you suppose to write. All of you can also go back home and bring your family but your family will live across the street since the land space is not enough. You can visit them, I will make you, girls, a new living quarters." I said while giving them hope but actually with moving their family. I could also control them with their family to not betray me.

"Now, to ease the burden. I will make some renovation and you can enjoy this one day." I said while they all bow to me "Thank you, Master.".

When all of them gone. Arlette can't hold it anymore "Aren't you too soft, Arthur?". "Right, if I hadn't been able to talk or have any connection with Earth but when my classmates get here. I also need to do something for them. The maids family live across us, we can monitor them. So, lowering the chance of betrayal. I would also cover the entire mansion with barrier magic. With my mana, I could sustain it continuously.

Now onto the next thing. Are you girls coming." I said while walking outside. While both of them following me and Arlette ask me "At least tell us what they write on their paper.".
