Suddenly, a slime hopped out of the bushes.

"Hello, motherfucker..." Lucian spoke as he focused on the slime's movements.

Suddenly, the slime started running towards Lucian, and when it was within attacking range, it jumped towards him.

"Ignis Sphaera..." Lucian spoke as he pointed his wand towards the flying slime and chanted his spell while transferring mana to the wand.

Suddenly, a fireball formed in front of Lucian's wand and hit the incoming slime.

Booop

The slime's body burned immediately, and its magic stone fell to the ground.

Thud

"Okay, that was easy. I have successfully secured my room at the inn. But, I still have some time, so I will kill one more." Lucian spoke as he picked up the magic stone and put it inside his inventory.

Suddenly, two half-transparent screens popped up in front of him.

'Oh... I have leveled up again? Last time I got around 20 experience points for killing a slime, but this time it's double because of this ring.' Lucian thought as he looked at the ring on his finger.

"Status..." Lucian spoke out loud, and suddenly his status screen opened up in front of him.

'Okay... So, every time I level up, the experience points I need to get to the next level are doubled, and it's the same with my mana and HP stats. Whereas... I only get 5 skill points per level.' Suddenly, Something clicked inside Lucian' mind.

'No, no... There has to be some kind of mistake here. If my experience points are doubled at every level, then it will become incredibly hard to go past level 15 because I will need around 327,680 experience points, and to reach level 30, I will need...' After calculating for a few seconds, Lucian spoke in a low tone.

"536,870,912,000 Experience Points. How will I get that many points?" Lucian spoke as he started thinking about it very hard.

'Do people even get to level 30 here? Wait, I can be wrong... I have to level up once more to check it.' Lucian thought as he immediately started searching for another slime.

After searching for about 15 minutes, Lucian found another slime hiding in the bushes.

Lucian immediately pointed his wand towards the slime and...

"Ignis Sphaera."

A small fireball formed in front of the wand and hit the slime, killing it immediately.

Lucian picked up the magic stone and placed it inside his inventory.

"One more..." Lucian spoke as he went deeper into the forest to search for another slime.

After searching for about 7 minutes, Lucian found another one.

A slime came running towards him with speed.

"Since I am already killing you... Why not try it? Ignis Furia..." Lucian spoke as he focused his eyesight on the slime and supplied mana to the staff.

Before the slime could bounce once more, it got covered in a small tornado of fire and died immediately.

Lucian picked up its magic stone and placed it inside his inventory.

"Status..." Lucian opened his status once again.

'It got doubled, again...' Lucian thought as sweat dropped from his forehead.

"This is—" Before Lucian could complete his sentence, three slimes surrounded him from all sides.

"Okay, this can be a little dangerous." Lucian spoke as he looked at the slimes with a focused expression.

'The slime on the left is standing about 2 meters away from me, the one on the right is 4 meters, and the one in front is also standing at about 2 meters.

I have to aim carefully... I can shoot out 8 fireballs, but I will try to finish this in 4.' Lucian thought as he looked at the slime on the left. Because he thought, that slime will attack first.

Suddenly, the slime in front started running towards him, and the one on the right followed.

The one on the left waited there, as if it were acting as a distraction.

"Nice strategy, motherfuckers... Ignis Furia, Ignis Furia." Lucian spoke as he immediately turned towards the slime in front of him and used the spell; then, he turned to the right side and used the fireball spell once again.

Both slimes got annihilated immediately, and their magic stones fell to the ground.

Suddenly, Lucian heard jumping sounds coming from the left side.

He tried to dodge the attack by ducking, but the slime had other plans. It attacked Lucian's leg instead of his face.

Lucian lost his balance and fell to the ground.

"Ouch, ouch..."

Suddenly, the slime jumped again, this time aiming for Lucian's face.

"Don't fuck with me, motherfucker..." Lucian shouted as he immediately inserted his hand inside the slime's body and pulled out its magic stone Forcefully.

The slime immediately died as soon as its core was separated from its body.

"Fuck..." Lucian cursed as he immediately looked at his leg and noticed a red bruise near his ankle.

"How can a slime give me such a bruise?" Lucian asked with a confused expression.

"Status..." Lucian immediately opened his status and looked at the HP bar.

[HP: 39/40]

"As expected, the HP stat decreases according to how much damage my body has taken." Lucian spoke.

Suddenly, Lucian noticed that the sun had started to go down, and night would soon fall.

"I should go back to the city..." Lucian spoke as he started walking towards the forest's exit.
