Suckered Into Marrying My Scheming Lackey

Love Questionnaire: What would you do if you get caught breaking into a cold and arrogant billionaire's mansion?... What if that said billionaire also happens to be your lackey from high school and you don't even recall them? Better yet what if that said billionaire sets a marriage contract on the table and demands that you sign it? Quinn: Hahaha, What stupid questions. Who came up with these? That would never happen to me. A few hours later Quinn: You @%!^%##, you set me up.

Buying wedding dresses

Quinn soon realised it was too late to escape. His mother was eagerly dragging her to the reception and being that she once got married for love she was very familiar with this place.

"Hie... um appointment for Carnell please," she said and the polite lady looked up at her before smiling and saying,

"You may please take a seat."

Amalie was a little suspicious. She narrowed her eyes slightly before thanking her and pulling her daughter to the couch.

Quinn who saw an opportunity to weasel her way out of this said, "Maybe there was a problem with the booking. Look at this place it's almost like a high end flea market with so many people trying to buy expensive dresses," said Quinn though the word flea market was a bit excessive and over exaggerated.

"You kid, you don't know what a flea market is, do you?" asked Doris and Kaya sighed while saying,

"This is heaven for a bride to be. It must be good to be young," with an entranced look on her face.

"Which one would you prefer? Mermaid dresses with a train reaching the heavens," said Doris envisioning it already.

"Or maybe a none traditional wedding dress for the fashionable edgy bride who loves keeping up with the trends," said Kaya envisioning her in a rose gold dress with a slit high up her thigh.

"She will look beautiful in whatever outfit she wears. She will make a very beautiful bride," said Amalie with a gracious smile as she rubbed her daughter's arm.

"Well I will be damned," said Doris when she saw an unexpected group of people walking in through the door.

They had gone an entire year without meeting this woman, yet in just two days they had met her twice. Something in the universe was definitely misaligning and their stars were about to converge.

"What are they doing here?" asked Amalie even though she knew that no one would be able to answer that question.

"Amalie? Wow, what a coincidence. You came here to buy a dress for Quinn," said Camilie genuinely surprised. She had booked this appointment six months in advance which was the minimum requirement for free bookings. She just didn't expect her sister to come with her daughter at the same time.

When Ivy saw them she shyly lowered her head and greeted them. Behind her was her group of friends, some of which Quinn could recognise but wasn't familiar with.

"Why are you sitting here? Aren't you supposed to be inside already? Oh, I see. You hadn't booked an appointment yet, right? You can join us if you like though Quinn won't get to try on wedding dresses. Maybe you should try to call her fiance as well so he can work something out for you.... Aloso two blocks over there is a walk-in no appointment boutique. They seem to have a lovely collection of dresses," said Camilie not being modest. She couldn't wait to put her sister down and trample on her pride.

The four people looked at her with dull expressions as she continued on with her endless chatter. It was like looking at an idiot perform a one man show. If she only knew who Quinn's fiance was she would probably vomit blood.

"Mum," called out Ivy sweetly. She really didn't want to see Quinn but she would also love for Quinn to see the dress she would get married in. She was certain Quinn would die of jealousy.

While poison ivy was spitting poison a group of ladies walked over their steps briskly like they had offended someone very important and were in a hurry so as not to further delay this client.

"Ladies, Miss Lian has apologised sincerely for making you wait. In the meantime please follow us," said a woman with gorgeous silver hair.

One of Ivy's friends somehow thought they were talking to them so she responded enthusiastically while clapping her hands like a seal.

Like Ivy, she had been part of the dream boyfriend, dream wedding and dream house team. She like Ivy were dreamers which wasn't anything bad so they knew the name Lian and her luxurious Saffron collection. Every rich bride in this city would be honoured to set their eyes upon Lian let alone be clothed by her.

Thinking that Ivy had managed to book Lian, she couldn't contain her excitement. "Wow Lian? Why didn't you tell us such a thing? If I had known I will have posted it," said her friend while the other said,

"You can post it now. #Saffroncollection #lian," typing already but only Camilie and Ivy knew in their hearts that there was no such thing.

They looked at Quinn with envious and jealous eyes. They were so immersed deep in their emotions that they didn't realise what the girls were doing.

"Ladies your private room is on the second-floor room number ten. Emlyn will show you the way," said the silver haired woman called Daniella trying not to embarrass these enthusiastic clients.

Emlyn smiled at them and said, "This way ladies," and the group excitedly followed.

Camilie couldn't swallow that bitter pill so she said, "Father left you more money than he left me, didn't he? Either that or you prostituted yourself just like your mother," she said through gritted teeth before Ivy pulled her weakly.

"Mum. We will be late for our appointment," she said and Camilie had no choice but to back down.

This was indeed the partial truth. Amalie's mother was a high end escort before she left the industry and started her own business. Amalie's father never married but he asked two beautiful women to have children for him and he would raise them.

One was a high end escort with a beautiful heart and she was content with the agreement. The other was a professor from a family with no status at all but she wasn't content with the agreement. After her daughter's birth, she made noise wanting him to take responsibility and marry her.

Having failed she began insulting Amalie's mother each time Camilie came to visit. That's where Camilie learnt such terrible insults.

Amalie laughed softly before saying, "At least my mother knew her place. Yours however not only seduced men but drugged them," before getting up to leave. The others followed behind with each glaring at this mother and daughter pair. If the word trouble was a person it would be these two.
