Aftermath-I

Third Person PoV

Kojou returned home, after making sure that the two terrorists, one forced by the another, will be caught by the island guard.

Bidding Yukina goodbye and goodnight, he entered his home. He found Nagisa sitting on the sofa in her pyjamas and Asagi wearing only his shirt. Maybe panties, hard to tell without seeing.

Her hair was still wet, showing that she just came out of the shower. That was to be expected as she was stuck under a building near collapse, filled with smoke and fire.

"So? How are you?" Kojou asked

"Fine. It feels surprisingly normal." Asagi answered

"Well you had a divine sheep with you, what could scare you?" Nagisa chirped in.

"Now, though. What happened?"

Asagi asked. Kojou sighed and began explaining what happened today, after he and Yukina went after the exorcist after school ended.

"So, you bit the girl who is supposed to eliminate you if you are dangerous?" Asagi said

"Like I said, that was not the plan, but she surprised me by giving her blood. So it was a free meal. Also it's not like I made her my blood partner.

Also, what happened to the terrorists? The news says that the deacon was deported and the homunculus was kept on probation for three years."

Kojou looked at Asagi for clarification on Nagisa's words. It was unlikely that Rudolf would only be deported; he tried to sink the island. No way he was left with such an easy punishment.

"Yeah I know it is surprising, wait a minute let me check. Mogwai!"

"Hai-hai, ojou-sama."

The mascot AI, brought up a webpage and showed the real happening.

"This is surprising! The relic will be returned after a new cornerstone is formed. The deacon is proclaimed persona non grata. The homunculus is indeed in a three year probation, under attack mage, Minamiya Natsuki?"

"Well now we know where to look for her in the future!"

Kojou said and he continued

"Do you think the LKO pulled some strings for this? I was fully expecting that the deacon would be executed and the homunculus would be under much harsher conditions."

"They most probably did." Asagi supported Kojou's idea.

"Thought so!" Nagisa said. She had long since stopped paying attention to the talk of Kojou and Asagi.

She was busy playing games on her mobile. Hearing that both Asagi and Kojou sighed while nodding their heads.

"What do you think will happen to your observer now?" Asagi questioned

"Logically, she should be called back and a new one should come. But if she is not the observer but a distraction, she would stay." Kojou answered

"Right, and if she stays even after getting bit by you, then it is confirmed that she is here to try and become a blood companion?" The 4th mused

"Yes, do you think she knows?" His blood vassal said

"No, she is too naive. Her true mission is unknown, even to her." Kojou said munching on chips.

"So we are to look for the true observer while keeping her in the dark?"

"Ideally yes, but it is quite possible that she might come to know this herself, so no real backlash even if we slip and she figures it out." Kojou continued his munching.

"Fair enough!"

"Then we are going to sleep now?" Nagisa asked

"Yes, why?"

"Nothing."

After that the three went to their rooms, although the moans of Asagi at night kept both the girl's up all night.

Next morning, after doing his morning rituals and breakfast, Kojou went outside and knocked on Yukina's apartment.

Two knocks later, the sword shaman opened the door. Wearing her school uniform.

Kojou entered inside, only to find that the apartment was empty and Yukina had packed all of her stuff.

"So you are leaving?"

"Yes senpai, I broke many rules and also failed in my duty. Not to mention that I am incapable of performing the role of the observer of the 4th Primogenitor."

Just then a delivery arrived and the doorbell brought the attention of both, the senpai and kouhai.

Yukina opened the mail and found a letter addressed to her from the LKO.

"I am not called back?"

Yukina said with disbelief in her voice.

"Looks like it. So glad to have you, Himeragi. Again!"

Kojou said with a small smile of his own.

"Thanks senpai!"

Few days have passed since the keystone gate was smashed and life was back to normal in Itogami island.

No more terrorists hunting demons. But alas this peace was fragile. Being a demon sanctuary, there was something going on everyday here.

During the lunch break, Kojou was sitting with Yukina. Her blood tests were due today, to check if she became a blood companion.

Every attack mage has to get checked, after being bit by a vampire. As they are spiritual mediums, they can become infected vampires or blood companions.

"It came out negative, senpai!"

"Did it now? I told you it is no problem, I am used to drinking blood. So I was correct right?"

"Yes, you were senpai!"

But it seems that his luck had run out as Yaze had seemed to hear the conversation he had with Yukina.

"Oye, Kojou! What is this about negetive and stuff you are talking with a middle schooler?"

"Bad timing, Yaze."

Kojou sighed readying himself for some more teasing from his best friend.

At the same time, High God Forest, Kansai.

Yukari Endou was once again in a dilemma.

It has just come to the LKO's knowledge that Lord Aredeal from the Warlord's dominion is coming to Itogami island.

The news started a new mission for her student. To escort the noble vampire and prevent any incident happening between Akatsuki Kojou and Dimitrie Vatler.

Yukari sighed, knowing that even convincing her student, Sayaka, would be problematic.

Both her priority targets are men, her best friend is the observer for one. And not to mention that Sayaka believes that the 4th Primogenitor is the epitome of evil.

Due to Yukina being his observer and recently having to go through her blood test, their hasn't been improvement since then.

Sayaka had misjudged that the 4th Primogenitor was using Yukina to satisfy his own lustful desires.

Reaching near the practice area, she saw the war dancer practice using a greatsword.

The instructor prepared herself for what is to come and said.

"Sayaka, there is a mission for you."

"What is it, master?"

"You are to escort Lord Ardeal to Itogami island."

Hearing the first name Sayaka's eyebrows raised, but hearing the second name brought her glee.

She could finally meet her childhood sweetheart, Yukina. But first she had to save her from the 4th Primogenitor, she would kill him.

"Calm Sayaka, your mission is easy. Do not allow a fight to be provoked between the 4th Primogenitor and Lord Ardeal. You are not to follow his orders. But if you feel like they would help your mission, do not fear to do so. Also do not let your feelings cloud your judgement!"

"Yes, Shishou"

"Began preparing right away, you will be sent via water to the personal ship of Lord Ardeal."

Yukari then went back to file in the report that the mission was communicated to her required person. Now to wait.

While Yukari was worried about Sayaka's androphobia, she didn't know that it was only for human males.

Vampires didn't evoke the same fear in the war dancer. But that was unknown to both Yukari and Sayaka.

"Akatsuki Kojou, I will kill you!"

With a determined mind and resolve in her eyes, Sayaka began her mission preparation by packing her belongings

It was currently middle of the night. Few days after Yukina was blood tested. In the middle of the night, the island guard was busy fighting a therianthrope.

Bullets rained and curses were screamed at the top of the lungs, but the therianthrope managed to escape the island guard.

Confusing them in the port containing containers for import and export.

"Damn it!Damn it!Damn it! I cant believe the details of our deal were leaked!"

Werepanther looking like man said while landing on top of a container, denting it.

"You will pay for it, Humans!"

He took out a remote from his pocket and pressed the very conspicuous, red button on it hoping to do something terrible.

"What! Why isn't this working?"

Just then the remote was taken away from his hands by purple chains.

"An analog, password-less detonation remote in this age?"

The voice of a mature woman rang, standing atop a container at a level higher than the therianthrope.

"An attack mage? how did you catch up to me?"

"Did you honestly think that you could get away? Don't get too full of yourself, stray cat!"

Hearing the condescending tone, the therianthrope jumped and slashed at the attack mage.

The mage easily dodged the attack and continued to do so, for some time. Till she was at the end of the container, the ocean waves billowing below.

"I take it you work for Chirstoph Gardos? Well done crossing the ocean to get here!" The attack mage said, as if unconcerned about her predicament.

The slash that came after that was not one that could be dodged without falling into the ocean.

But the attack missed, and the mage vanished and reappeared on the sail of the ship docked nearby.

The moonlight allowed the fugitive to see his pursuer in a better light. Petite body, black Gothic Lolita dress and an open umbrella on her hands, sheltering her face and giving her a mysterious aura.

"Space magic? That takes a magician of the highest order to perform! It can't be- The witch of the void, Minamiya Natsuki!"

With that proclamation, a purple coloured triangular magic circle with circles on its vertices appeared in the air.

Purple chains coming out of the magic circle is what the therianthrope was able to see, before his world went dark.

The terrorist was hanging upside down on the pier.

"I am interested in the terrorists from the Warlord's dominion but I have to prepare for tomorrow's lesson, so I will leave the interrogation to the island guard."

Just then a horn of a cruise ship sounded near the dock. The ship's name? Oceanus Grave.

"Tch, even the snake charmer is here. That idiotic boy better not get involved with him!"

Inside Oceanus Grave.

"Ah, my dear Kaleid Blood, how I long to meet you!"

The sinful blonde haired man spoke in a sensual tone. That send shivers down the spine of the beautiful girl standing behind him in the darkness.

'Why do I have to observe such a perverted and shameful vampire! Bear it Sayaka, it is for Yukina.'

Somewhere on Itogami island, Unknown place.

"Tch, that bastard had to be caught now, we only have one researcher active now. Listen, Daniel make a list of the best hackers and programmers in the world and ask them to decode this damn tablet!"

"Sure boss! It will cost us money though."

"Just ask them to translate this. Then we can abduct them later on for more use."

"That is the true villain mentality, boss."

The man evading the island guard was none other than Christoph Gardos, the current leader of Black Death Emperor Front.

Yaze was sitting in his classroom, again at night. He was silently waiting for his girlfriend to come.

Due to the sensitive identity of his girlfriend and his relation with Kojou, he couldn't meet up in broad daylight or at a place where they could be seen together.

"So why did we need to meet this urgently?"

Yaze said, his mischievous tone ever present in his voice.

"Lord Ardeal will be appointed as the head of diplomatic relations between the Warlord's dominion and Itogami island, in the near future. Be prepared."

"Really? you called me this late at night for this. If you want my input then this is a bad idea, if the rumours about this Ardeal guy are true then he would almost certainly clash with Kojou."

"It is far too early for the 4th to be strong enough to take someone at Lord Ardeal's level."

"He does not follow the common sense we do, Shizuka. I hope you understand."

The girl went back without saying anything. Leaving Yaze alone.

"Yare-yare, what will my friend do?"

The pieces are set in place and now the first move remains, and the chaos will start.
