Desolated Sci-fi (345 words)

´Endless wastelands with some dried-up trees or bushes here and there, that is what most of the surface looks like, well except for the occasional high-tech ruins. ´I think as I look at the horizon which is stretching out into the unknown.

´I don't even know how long it has been since I arrived here, day and night aren't the same here as they were at home. Hope my family is doing good over there and won't get brought here like me. Sigh, what an unlucky girl I am. ´I smile at the memory of my family and a light chuckle escapes my lips when I think back to when I arrived in this cursed world.

They were a hellish two years in which a big part of my sanity just went up and died somewhere on the way, after those two years I slowly got the hang of it and life in this previously terrifying world became a lot more tolerable, hell it even became fun.

Shaking my head to get some clear thoughts I look at the radar displayed in the right upper corner of my vision.

´Those high-tech implants from the old-world ruins really help to make this feel like some highly realistic video game. Aaaaand help me survive.

Without those upgraded organs I would have died from hunger, thirst and all those terrific diseases roaming the surface a long time ago. ´Sighing at the memory of seeing all the strange and horrific parasites which had nested themselves in my original lungs after replacing them with some tech stored in one of the more dangerous ruins I feel how my neck hair stands up.

´Yeah that was fu*king disgusting. ´Violently shaking my head to get rid of the old memory my dark green hair which I had bound into a bun opens up and falls down to my back.
