Chapter 20: Such a Green Tea Bitch

Leo had already stepped out of the car and started walking forward, but the expected footsteps following him were absent. Turning back, he saw Sophia leaning against the car door, seemingly unable to walk. Jamie stood aside, glaring at Sophia with anger, but Sophia seemed utterly unresponsive to Jamie's hostile gaze, clearly having exhausted all her strength.

A pang of concern hit Leo—had he really hurt her? Without overthinking, he quickly returned, scooped up Sophia in his arms, and with Jamie watching in astonishment, strode into the residence.

"Miss Jamie, please come inside. The night air is somewhat chilly," Kyle kindly reminded.

Jamie gave him a cold look and said icily, "I don't need you to tell me that." After that, she walked into the house on her own.

However, Kyle blocked her way and said seriously, "Miss Jiang, I must remind you, CEO Leo bringing you to his home tonight has no other implication. It is only because he was worried you might be cornered by journalists and accidentally say something unfavorable. The consequences could be severe."

Kyle also wondered why the young master didn't instruct him to send Jamie elsewhere. Perhaps the young master hadn't considered how to deal with Jamie tonight at all—his mind entirely focused on Sophia.

This was a good thing for the young master, Kyle thought. He should report it to the old master to bring him some joy.

However, upon hearing Kyle's words, Jamie immediately flew into a rage: "What are you? How dare a mere servant lecture me? You'll see!"

Kyle remained undisturbed by such humiliation, clearly used to it. "Since it's like this, then I won't say more. Miss Jiang, please take care."

Jamie watched Kyle's retreating back, thinking bitterly—if she became the lady of the house one day, the first thing she would do is make this condescending Kyle pay.

The night deepened, and the majestic Leo estate was bathed in the brilliant moonlight, making it appear even more imposing. Jamie wandered around the estate with great interest, acting as if she were already the lady of the house, considering everything in the estate her property.

Meanwhile, in Leo's room, Sophia was naked, receiving medical treatment from Leo.

"I...I can do it myself," Sophia requested with a hoarse voice.

She had no strength to resist Leo's actions, only able to feebly ask, though she knew it might be futile.

As expected, Leo glared at her and ignored her request, continuing to apply the medicine with a frown.

The two had seen each other's bodies more than once, but Sophia still felt as awkward as the first time. Her embarrassed and helpless expression made Leo's breath catch.

The prouder a woman, the more irresistible she became when showing such a vulnerable side.

And this woman was stunningly beautiful.

Her skills indicated years of intense training. Remarkably, her delicate skin bore no tough muscles. Each time Leo touched her soft skin, he couldn't help but caress her a bit more. Even a slight force on his part would leave marks on her smooth skin.

Her hands were also devoid of calluses. Holding her hands during passionate moments, the boneless softness always made it hard for him to be harsh.

His mind drifted, and his actions lost measure.

"Ouch..." Sophia's tears flowed from the pain. It was agonizing, but more than that, she felt embarrassed.

After all he had done to her, injuring those unspeakable places, he still wasn't satisfied and took the opportunity of applying medicine to humiliate her further.

Leo quickly withdrew his finger, looking at the blood on his fingertip, unsure of what to do.

Seeing the woman lying on the bed, flushed with shame, wanting to fight but too weak to retaliate, he couldn't stay any longer and left the room.

Perhaps he should ask Henry, the seasoned playboy, for advice on handling such a situation. Leo thought calmly.

The next day, Sophia felt much better. Given her training background, her body recovered quickly. Yet, that area still ached significantly.

Forcing herself to get up, she found she could hardly walk and cursed Leo silently.

Enduring the pain and trying to appear normal, she went downstairs, only to see the woman from yesterday who also entered the car sitting on the living room sofa, touching up her makeup.

Sophia remembered—she was the lead actress of yesterday's movie, Jamie. She featured on the huge movie poster at the entrance of yesterday's banquet hall.

Jamie wasn't new to the entertainment industry but an actress who had debuted early, acted in two TV dramas, and then faced a slump for three years. Recently, she met a benefactor, landed a role in the highly invested and well-produced movie "The Great Chinese Merchants," packed with stars, and rose to fame again.

Oh, so her benefactor was Leo.

After finishing her makeup, Jamie began applying powder to her neck, shoulders, and chest, as if trying to cover some marks.
