Chapter 12

Sunny's bedroom balcony overlooked a beautiful backyard littered with every flower species she could think of.

The place was a paradise and she enjoyed every bit of it.Apart from a constant fear at the back of her mind that Lion would jump on her or finally decide to let her go... without Leo ofcourse.Her son had become the centre of her world.She wouldn't survive a second without him.

On the bright side,Sunny hardly saw the guy despite living under the same roof for over two weeks.What were the chances of running into him when the house had over twenty rooms?

She hadn't had the time to check it all out nor been out much often.She wasn't even aware of the beach in the vicinity.

Sunny had insisted Leo be moved to her room after.How on earth could a baby have an entire room for himself?As fancy as that was, Sunny couldn't sleep with Leo alone in the next room.

Plus,Sunny got to know that Lion really loved Leo.He checked on him in between 3am and 5pm when Sunny nursed her last.Sunny also noticed the baby had his diaper changed when she woke.

"Miss,lunch is served.Madame Anne is waiting for you at dining."Bilha was Leo's part-time babysitter.She was in her late thirties.And she was a natural with babies, especially Leo.Given the tantrum the first time Sunny held him,Leo immediately warmed up to her.Since then,they were inseparable when Bilha was around and he wasn't sleeping.

"Alright, I'll join her in a minute."Sunny told Bilha in a smile.

"Have a good afternoon miss.I'll see you at eight."Bilha said turning to leave.

"No Bilha.I'll see you tomorrow.I'll be home this evening."Sunny flinched at how she casually called Lion's house home.Bilha didn't respond,just said something in Italian and left.Another hitch of her paradise was the local language.She hadn't quite mastered the language yet and didn't see the need if she was leaving anyway.

Anne had bested herself in making Sunny comfortable at the house.She normally tagged her to shopping sprees and lunch dates.Sometimes she brought Sunny to the hospital where she was a senior doctor... surprisingly at twenty six.

She went down for lunch and found Anne patiently waiting for her at the twenty seater dining table.Their utensils were already set,for two as usual.

"Hey,what took you so long?I almost came up to get you myself."Anne put her phone down next to her plates.

"Sorry,was just putting Leo down for a nap."

"I get your enthusiasm and energy.I couldn't tear my eyes from that little angel the first week Lion brought you two home."
