In a dark alley, a disheveled young boy dressed in a black polo and shorts by the age of 15 can be seen running haphazardly carrying a laptop. 20 meters behind him are suspicious people dressed in all black combat suit.
"He's here! Don't let him get away!"
"This son of a bitch!! Do you think you can escape!"
*Tzzzt* *Radio connection*
<You need to capture E.S.–02A before he get to the coast.> A deep cold voice was heard from the radio speaking English.
"What do we do if he closes in the coast, boss?"
<Eliminate him. Even though he's close to perfection, what we need is an emotionless puppet.>
*Tzzzt* *Radio disconnect*
"Cut off his path! Don't let him get to the coast!" The leader roared in a commanding tone.
~MC PoV~
*pant* *heavy breathing*
"I– I'll need to go to the coast *pant* *pant* to escape"
How did things become like this?!
*Flashback*
My name is Sora, a half Filipino-Japanese, being my mom japanese and my father a Filipino. My parents died in a plane crash 2021 February because of faulty wirings that caused it to catch on fire mid air. My parents only left me an apartment that will only be available unti April 7 and at that time COVID was still a thing.
I caught COVID on March 13 and I thought that I was going to die. Not until a research organization extended its hands to offer that they will cure me. Afterwards, they later did cure me of my illness but I have to join their research project as an experiment subject. I tried to reject but they said that I have nothing to return to so I reluctantly accepted.
It's been 3 month since they brought me to the research facility. Every day they give me a dosage of some kind of serum four times a day and give me some tests. Some of the tests include but not limited to Photo Memory Tests, Website Hacking, Reaction Time Tests, etc. They also let me make do something like advanced technological study, architectural blueprints designing, biochemistry, advanced physics, and surgical & medicine study.
Everything I do in here is pretty normal except for the tests. They allow me to do whatever I want after the tests. But that's what bothers me. It's too normal. It's like they're making me feel comfortable here so I will not even attempt to escape. So, I will hack into the organization's data base tonight. I already created an anti- detection and anti- tracking program so they can't detect me. The only problem of my program is that I can't export files from the data base or else I'd be busted.

It's been 3 minutes since I started trying to bypass the firewall. I was shocked by the security of their data base. It was too easy. If it's a normal hacker they wouldn't even be able to touch a single layer because of the unique coding language used. But, who am I? They made me a genius and an intellectual individual. Sorry for them I only need mere 3 minutes to crack their 57 layered security. There are even security measures here that I can only admit to be ingenious.
After bypassing the security, I saw 3 folders named ATheNa, NūwĀ, and RePro. I scanned through all of the files starting from the RePro to ATheNa and boy I was really shocked. All of them are insane ideas and experiments. The RePro is really mild compared to ATheNa and NūwĀ Project. The ATheNa Project is the one I am part of. It's mainly an experiment to enhance and unlock the potential of the brain. There are countless casualties to perfect the serum that died either from their brain melting to them becoming idiots in a vegetative state. I am the second to have survived a month with the serum being constantly injected to me. The first one or E.S.–Ä01 died a month and a half due to him becoming insane because of auditory and visual hallucinations he experienced causing him to commit suicide by stabbing a plastic fork into his eyes and bashing his head to the table face first.
I had goosebumps reading those. It also explained in the files that I'm showing signs of accelerated information processing and that they will need to implant a Memory Alter (M.A.) Chip to me by next week that will make me follow all their orders mindlessly. I felt fear and anger upon learning this. I need to escape immediately two days from now and I need to know the layout of the facility and the outside for me to escape successfully.

It's time to escape. In the last two days, I built some gadgets that I can use to escape secretly by using the parts of the equipments in my room. I didn't need to draw a blueprint because I discovered that I can think in parallel it means I can think of two things at a time so it reduced the likability of my plan leaking. I made a signal disruptor, portable bombs, and a customized laptop specialized in hacking.
My room has CCTV cameras in the living room and the bedroom. I hid all the things I built beneath the bathroom floor because only the bathroom didn't have cameras. I immediately jumped up from my bed pretending to take a pee in the bathroom. I opened the tile flooring to take all the things I need and immediately opened my laptop. I hacked the monitor in the security room to show a video of me returning to bed to sleep. After that, I rushed to the door. It was locked from the outside and you need a Level 3B Pass to get out but for me it is as easy as eating a chocolate.
Before going outside, I check for the security cameras for the position of the patrol guards and to insert the program that I built to help me to escape. It is a simple program that if the camera detects me I will not show up in the monitors. It basically made me invisible to cameras. I already have an escape route that have less patrol guards. I accessed their phones and sent a message disguised as a message from the security captain for them to come to the security room. After they left I ran hurriedly. If I am correct, they will realize that somebody is escaping in approximately 10 minutes.
The route I chose is the route underground in the sewers that I can access by going to the kitchen.
I am now in the kitchen opening the sewer cover by the drain. I only have 7 minutes left to escape so I immediately made my way down after closing the cover. I ran fast navigating through this maze like sewers and got out in an alley in the town. As I was getting up, I heard loud sirens by the distance.
"Shit! They're 2 minutes earlier than I expected!" (Sora)
I ran fast in the dark alleys with my final destination as the coast but 5 minutes later I saw the security guards of the facility 20 meters in front of me.
"He's here! Don't let him get away!"
"This son of a bitch!! Do you think you can escape!"
*Tzzzt* *Radio connection*

Shit! Shit! F***! I turned around and ran for the other way to the coast. I suppose they planted a tracking chip on me so that I can't escape from the beginning. I'm an idiot! I didn't use the signal disruptor because I was too caught up in the joy of escaping from that facility. I was already exhausted, panting heavily as I ran. I was never an athletic person so my stamina is low but I didn't stop running even though my body already hurts.
When I was thinking of giving up, I smelled the scent of salty water and was overjoyed. I ran faster as all I think of was getting out of this f****** island. But, it was soon dashed by the loud voice of the security captain.
"Kill him! Boss said that we don't need him anymore! Don't let him escape!"
What?! It was soon followed by gunshots from behind as I hurriedly dodged but I was still shot in my left arm that was holding the laptop.
"Ack!"
I dropped the laptop and pressed my arm with my right hand in an attempt to stop the bleeding while running away. I already knew that I'll die but I need to try even if the probability of it happening is low. So I continued running. 32 meters to the coast, I was shot in my left shoulder. 21 meters to the coast, I was in my right shoulder. 10 meters to the coast, I was shot in my left hip. 4 meters to the coast, I was shot in my right leg falling to the sandy beach face fist.
They catched up to me and the captain turned me over and said something to me.
"If you didn't bother escaping from the facility you'll still be alive by tomorrow. Good luck in your next life kid." He said pointing his gun at me.
"*ptsuu* F*** you..." I said weakly after spitting on him.
"F****** bastard!"
*Bang!* *Bang!*
Hahaha... at least I tried. It's so cold. I'm tire—
