Starborne Warrior

I died, time and time again. A flower became my friend. I stole an AI and made mental love, I met an inebriated bird, and escaped from the golden tyrant above. I found my true love, and never let her go. I was the dark of space and she the light that glowed. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I was a simple human born in a world of blood. Then lay a flower, a vibrant blue flower, that changed it all and let my fate begin to unfurl. The finger of destiny began to curl as it sent me into the many worlds. A warrior entranced by the power of blood and souls, fated to carry the stars. I remember sitting on one as I sang my eternal song - Oh, dust of the cosmos make me kin, smoke of celestials allow me to win. Make me unbreakable, a child of the stars. Make me unshakable, A god of war - Mars. I am starborne, I carry them all, I am unnamable, and I cannot fall.

Into the Eye of the Beast

Those red metal hands signified the wrath of an entire world. A world out for revenge.

Those hands each the size of many skyscrapers, the abomination was crushed in between. It was currently being clapped together like dough.

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Each clap sent shockwaves across the earth. Each clap sounding of thunder, as thick red lightning bolts blasted in random directions. Each clap containing the fury of the slain. Each clap a celebration of humanity's survival.

The beast suddenly extending its tentacles, thrashing them wildly in their neigh infinite amount. The land below quickly decimated, the hands threw the beast in the air like a volleyball.

The arms then pulled a metal, towering giant out of the earth. The new lord had revealed itself, at last.

Let it be known, that a lord within its own world, could wield the strength of that world's energy.

In certain, special moments of crises, the world may lend its lord the entire strength it had. This was one such case

A Metallic, red humanoid giant with no distinguishable traits stood, enormous and mighty. It crossed its arms, standing as guard to the last wall of defense.

It formed a classic, now borderline legendary, lengthy macaque tail. It must have been a few hundred feet in size.

Not a single person on the battlefield failed to recognize that tail.

A mighty swipe tore the winds asunder, annihilating all the cosmic spawn.

The grotesque nightmare in the sky felt an imminent loss approaching.

"That tail…"

"The ballad…"

That song became very well known after his death was confirmed. A mysterious genius, riding through the ranks of power, and disappearing just as fast. The world was naturally captivated by tragedy.

Many thought, the will of the world has taken this form in honor.

The cheers of humanity began to sound once more, for the first time in years.

Three stood on the wall, stunned silent at the metal giant. It looked at them, and gave thumbs up.

"I knew it…. I knew it!" Cyrek let out a wail to the sky, collapsing to his knees. He had always held out hope that his hero may appear again.

Johnson's eyes watered silently, as he watched the battle intently. Rooting on his good friend to save him once more.

Tera let out a breath. Eyes dazed, unable to fully process it all. She had personally slain him, after all.

But those words echoed within:

This is not how a lord acts

She suddenly understood the meaning of that trial, and the mistake she had made, and began laughing happily.

Johnson could only glance at his sister, who he had never seen laugh so freely.

She flew onto the giant's shoulder, and said "Sorry about that before," a smile still on her.

If he could speak, he would tell her it was no big deal, after all, he had promised her the next reward back then.

The giant nodded, and she knew.

Star had been reborn, as the new Lord of Alloy.

The giant extended its fingers, forming the largest blade the world had ever seen. The blade contained the chaotic strength of lightning within.

The creature's tentacles were shredded in a beautifully quick series of slashes.

"Well done." Tera took some credit as his teacher of the sword. She also cut apart a few of the tentacles, she had grown exponentially in the last 7 years.

The beast roared, or cried. The nightmare's nine pupils began rotating rapidly, forming into one all consuming wormhole.

It could not consume this world now that a Lord had appeared, it could only consume itself in a desperate bid for survival.

Its own endlessly swarming tentacles now being consumed by its eye. It began devouring itself whole in an attempt to escape to another world.

The sky mage looked up, and saw a small chance to escape, to return home. There was only a beam visible as she shot into the wormhole.

Tera looked at the giant, and the giant looked back at her.

They nodded, without a word needed to be spoken.

Tera looked back at her brother, and waved. The metal giant also waving, to Johnson and cyrek.

Johnson looked at them, a pain in his heart, and he waved back. He knew they would be gone for a very long time, if not forever. It was too bad he wasn't able to talk to his friend before he left. But in his heart he had always known. His sister, and the man he called John Star, were not meant to stay trapped within their worlds.

Cryrek shot forward at that moment, landing on the giant's other shoulder.

"We will return!" He shouted to the world, still ecstatic at his hero's return. There was nothing to keep him in this world anymore, he would follow his hero into the depths of hell.

As the cosmic beast shrunk to the size of a small asteroid, the metal giant launched forward in a beam of red lightning. Tera flew forward as well, and Cyrek froze himself to the giant's shoulder.

The world saw, as it entered the wormhole. The beast's eye.

The world then saw, as the nightmarish creature exploded in a wonderful burst of cosmic dust.

A crack was left in space, lovely amounts of pure energy flowing forth.

This was pure mana, this was pure Qi.

As the world bathed in the light, the cheers of the world had never been louder.

Johnson stared at that crack in space, and vowed to one day follow them. But not now. It was time to return to his wife and children, after a long few years of bitter struggle.

On that day, the legend of John Star was engraved into the history of earth. Just like that, he was gone again.

The people would sing his name forever, in an eternal Ballad.
