Temple part 2 New abilities

Alex ran as if his life depended on it. Since it did. The others had more than enough time. he only saving grace was that the bombs did not trigger but it would only be a matter of time for it to go off.

Catching up with the others he continued to follow along. The plan was to get away from this section of the building to at least clear the blast radius.

Inferna looked back at her creator. "That happened to be the dumbest thing you have done yet. You could have been crushed if the pods would have fallen a certain way." Rotating back around she continued to lead the group down a large hallway.

"Yeah. I.. know." Alex words came out strained. The dark side energy continued its attempt against his dark core. Black tendrils of power lashed against it. Fending it off was tiresome. Masking the pain was easy. The thought of failure helped him keep it at bay. 'This is what I get for bragging. But I was kind of right at least. I am still in control for now. If the people in those pods would calm down already this wouldn't be so bad.' Musing over a remedy, Alex started to use the dark side energy to heal any wounds he may have received from the attack he used. In a matter of seconds, his throat and chest had been restored to normal. A bit of adrenaline tried to works its way through his body before he cut it off. 'Whew, that was close.' The rest of the run was spent turning the dark energy to light. For a second he thought about expelling it but that would have ended badly for the others. A few are force sensitive and the injects could help them become force users. But how the hell would he explain that. Shaking his head to himself he decided to wait.

The group stops to take a breather. As the troopers surveyed and took a few drinks of water, Alex continued his treatment. Inferna walked over close to him and ran her scans. Finding his energy stabilizing she looked around. The area had a battle recently.

"We should regroup with the others. We did our part already and then some." Seeing Alex still focusing she went over and picked him up princess carry style. "Not one word from you. We need to leave this place. I know you won't leave without that woman, so we will meet up with them. Then leave. Several high energy readings have spiked up in the last few minutes."

"She is right," Balfour said coming up. "The energy id signature is heading in one direction. We are heading right towards it." His eyes started to get wider as he read the data. "This is crazy."

Heading deeper in, they finally came across the others. That was the good news. The bad news they were all surrounded by Rakata that kept licking their crusty lips. A few dead ones here and there but nothing compared to the horde left over.

Everyone was accounted for except Kirell. Looking around he was spotted strapped to a very weird device in the center of the room. Multiple cables attached to the platform that was shoddily built.

Along the wall, the Jedi that left the meeting the previous day were strapped to the walls. A conduit cable went from the neck all the way to the platform down below. Small traces of energy left from them. Their bodies twitching in pain.

"That's the power flux I felt earlier. It is coming from them." Inferna said lowly. Setting Alex down she ran her readings again on XoXann's group. The scan allowed her to know the other charges had been set so they were done with that part at least. "Ok foolish one. How do we save them and get out of here?"

Looking over the situation it was hard to focus for Alex. Slight whispers played in his head. Ignoring them he focuses on what the Rakata in the center was saying.

"You stupid Jedi! Your power will be used to bring the Infinite Empire back. We will be able to regain our force powers once more and bring the galaxy back under control." A Rakata said as he continued to mess with some nobs on the control panel.

"Master Myr any suggestions?" Padawan Konell asked hopefully. He did not like the odds.

"No.. none that comes to mind. We..." In a sudden flash, she felt Alex presence nearby. Not wanting to move her head around, she decided to wait and see, .. "we need to save the others."

"What now?" A trooper asked Alex seeing him now standing on his own. With a grin on his face, he could wonder what the crazy man had set up.

"I dont want to see what they are doing finish. With that said.. some of us might die. Get your blaster's ready and take aim. When I give the signal fire on the area nearest to Kirell. Inferna your with me. We will go around to the otherside and attack."

The troopers remove the rifle packs and all quick explosives for easier use. All unnecessary gear was placed to the side. Alex showed them what the signal looked like before heading around the corner. Once out of sight he looked around quickly before applying the upgrades to Inferna.

"Run a quick check to make sure everything is compatible." Taking slow breaths Alex looked through any possible items in his inventory that would be able to help at this time. There was nothing. He even tried equipping the bracelet but he kept receiving an error message.

"Diagnostic complete," Inferna said before realigning her blaster and configuration. While Alex was preoccupied she her backup battery from her rear. Reconfiguring for a makeshift explosive was easy. Moving behind Alex she was ready. "Time is of the essence." She said seriously.

"Right." Easing around the corner Alex focused on one of the cables and pulled it down towards the lead Rakata.

"Psssh," the coolant spread through the area.

"Get that fixed at once. A Rakata screamed at another. Seeing the other start to walk aeay Alex pulled the ones next to down as well.

" Psssh"

"Pssh"

" Pssh"

Right as Alex was going to pull another down, one of the Jedi noticed him.

"Shit busted already. Oh well, let us get the party started." Firing his blaster at the nearest Jedi strung up in the air, Alex hoped the shot would damage the controller on the chest.

"Bzzt," it sparked and the Jedi twitched in pain. A second later the remaining troopers fired their rounds.

A heavy blaster fired directly at the lead Rakata. "Boom," it hit against a barrier with a deafening sound. "Boom" a second shot fired through less than a millisecond after tearing through the shield hitting one of Kirell's restraint setting a single-arm free.

The Rakata swarm charged from around the way towards the blaster fire. None of them caring for their life as they kept rushing in. A strange black light could be seen around the eyes.

Master XoXann team went on the offensive immediately. With a large force push, several of the Rakata went flying towards the center.

"Go my Rakghoul pets. Kill them!" The lead Rakata bellowed fiercely.

The Rakghoul no longer stood on guard. As they charged out the creatures moved mindlessly. A single purpose driving them. Stomping across the way they crushed several Rakata that were to slow to move.

They continued to lay down heavy fire. Once it was clear it did nothing to slow the charge, they focused on whittling the Rakata down instead.

"The new ammo is not working! Take out the rest!"

Inferna attached her rifle to her shoulder to auto fire. As for her, she self launched into the fray releasing her flamethrower at maximum output. The Rakata caught flames from the green fire spewing out. The heavy chemical mixture tearing through the paltry defenses of the creatures.

As blaster fire tore into a Rakata another already took its place. Once they made it to Alex, he threw the blaster forward. Before it hit the enemy it blew up from an overcharge.

"Boom," hot ion flew around the area scorching several Rakata. At least five had died with a few more taking grave wounds that slowed them down a little.

Igniting his lightsaber, Alex force jump into the thick of it with Inferna. Seeing her getting swarmed, he did not want her getting too injured. It would also be a bad idea if her core detonated. This entire room would turn to dust in an instant.

Swirling in a small arc, Alex was able to cut down several in a swipe. One Rakata took the chance to bite at his ankle. In a blur of metal something passed by his foot.

"Crunch," Inferna's foot came down crushing the skull. The two eyeballs went out nailing another Rakata in the face. Stopping to eat on the discarded eyeball, it was met with a lunge of a lightsaber through its chest. Instead of pulling it free, Alex pivoted towards the next one.

"Schup, " the lightsaber cut through another one. The Rakata that was still affixed to it, had its side cut out from the sweep. Traveling through the air it landed on another of its kind. The two rolled around into a tangled mess.

Unlike the usual lightsaber, this one did not burn. The power of the crystals made it resemble an old sword. About the same width of his vibroblade use to be.

"Splat," a Rakghoul stepped on the creatures killing them instantly. The troopers had fallen back towards the opening with XoXann and the others. In a flash of purple light, Mace had jumped from each device cutting them down. With a force pull from Master Myr, the others had landed safely. Master Myr did not pull them directly to herself. That would have taken to much energy. Something she could not spare in this instance. The now free Jedi started to struggle to move down in the fray of Rakata. Luckily it would seem the creatures had previous orders to not harm them.

Master XoXann reached out, "haaah!" With a strong pull, she ripped the devices off of them. As the Jedi screamed in pain, the wounds started to glow black. XoXann was using a dark side technique to heal them using their bodies own pain to help. As an ancient Dark Jedi, one thing she had in massive amounts was several healing abilities. With all the dark side energy floating around none would know what happened.

Seeing the battfield fall out of their favor, even more, Alex pushed forward. Running through the Rakata, he made it to Kirell. "Come on dang it! Time to go. No sense laying about." Cutting the differnt bindings he ignored the Rakata leader. With a few swishs Kirell was free.

The Rakata fired a blaster shot at Alex backside. "Look out!" Kirell yelled too late. With an effort of his returning strength from being free, he reached out at the shot. Alex turned to the side as the shot travelled in the air before looping back around. The shot hit the Rakata in the left eye.

"Come on now. Get to work." Turning around, Alex went for the Rakata leader. Swinging his lightsaber down he was stopped by a force push. "No flipping way?!"

"Foolish boy. You interrupted the process. No matter there is an entire temple topside to siphon from." The Rakata leader had pulled a lightsaber off his belt. It was Kirell's lightsaber it was using. Strutting forward like a proud peacock it taunted Alex. "Get up brat! Let me show you how a real force user fights!" The leader then shifted to an unusual combat style. His saber hand was at eye level, while his back was hunched over.

(Citizens have stabilized Rakghoul energy.)

(Force Gateway acquired)

'What the heck is that?' No sooner had Alex asked himself that, the voices came through stronger.

'Let us fight them! We wish to avenge our families and ourselves!' The voices echoed causing Alex head to spin.

Parrying a blow to the side, Alex stepped back a little. If it was not for the fact Rakata were more savage then strong, he would have been horribly cut from the last attack.
