Smoke and Mirrors

Laughter came from above.

"Now you Americans understand the power we wield. Leon, have them stand down."

Reality, augmented. Forever in fear of being in a manufactured reality by tyrants clinging to the essence of power they had robbed from the people.

Leon and Constitution step in front of the Americans siding with the new world order.

"What can I say, I'm rich and they'll giving me plenty more to stab you in the back."

Leon was interrupted by both the Protector and Liberty Bell.

"Since you augmented reality, I suppose the Ghost of Ottawa isn't dead after all."

The Ghost pointed at Constitution and Liberty Bell opened fire. As Liberty Bell was the larger of the two, she had an advantage that no one else could have predicted.

The Ghost stared down Leon and the New World Order.  "By years end, I will have all of your heads on a pike. Liberty Bell, bring down Constitution."

Liberty Bell hesitates for a moment, but complies, opening up her arsenal on her sister automaton. The Ghost tackles Leon onto the ground and snaps off the IFF tag on his armor.

"Come on Ghost, be realistic, the New World Order is the future."

"The fuck it is. You expect me to own nothing, be drugged out of my gorge and be a good little drone? Fuck you and fuck them. I will never yield to that."

"The prepare for a war like you've never seen. It was fun playing games, now it is time we take the world as yours." said Leon as he hovered in the air with his jetpack.

The other Star Spangled Heroes looked to the Ghost and Liberty Bell.

"Daniel, get the word to Washington, ready every single thing we have in our arsenal, and have H and Daws ready the XF-84H ready for flight. I want the New World Order to hear exactly what I have to say."

Within the hour, the XF-84H Thunderscreech was on the tarmac ready for its first flight in over 70 years. The Ghost put his flight suit and entered the cockpit. The area was barren, not a single soul wanted to be near the beast that was the Thunderscreech.

"Ghost if you do this, you have to know they'll never let you live."

"Good thing they won't have to hear me for much longer."

"God you're evil for doing this." laughed Daniel over the radio as the Ghost warmed up the engine.
