Economy In Peril

After the Defense team returned to the United States, problems had begun to arise. The citizens of the United States began to feel the effects of limited work and a constant state of war.

With the economy stalling, the citizens began to worry about just what their government might do.

"Ghost, we've complied every single failing point of our economy, our biggest concern is the lack of jobs."

"Lyle, you have been doing an excellent job at keeping me up to date. How would you feel in joining my cabinet? The Star Spangled Economist."

"I'd be honored but this issue is only going to get worse as we enter winter."

"Then let's open up every factory we have. We need infrastructure repair as well. The Electrical grid for the rest of the United States is still offline. We have plenty of opportunities for employment. Let's get some ads up and get our people back to work.

As the Ghost made his way over to the White House, people lined the streets awaiting his speech. He could see in their faces they needed some guidance, someone to truly lead them through the dark times ahead.

Inside the White House, the other Star Spangled Heroes had gathered, dressed for the speech. Once the clock struck noon, everyone left the White House and walked outside. As the Ghost took the podium and let everyone settle in, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"My Great Americans, it is has come to my attention that we as a nation are struggling. May of you are still without work. Today, I am glad to announce that will be changing. The United States has plenty to offer in terms of employment. Furthermore, we will no long abide by the bullshit standards that left our nations people divided. As of today, All jobs will no longer pay at the substandard rate of any rate in the teens. Today, every job will pay about thirty dollars and hour, and we will no be forcing companies to hire based on diversity, no, they will be hiring on by skill, by experience, and each company is required to hire no experienced works to meet a quota. Failure to do so will result in shutdowns. The ways of the past, the way of the New World Order will not be held here. Today, we end the wage crisis, and we put money back into the pockets of our citizens. The Democrats and Republicans of yesterday will not survive in the America we have created today!"

The Ghost thrust his fist into the air as the crowd cheered, however, a gunman had other plans for the speech. He raised his pistol at the Ghost who calmed the crowd.

"The New World Order gives their people everything for free! WHY DO YOU MAKE US WORK FOR IT!"

The Ghost got off the stage and marched towards the gunman. Time seemed to stand still as he approached the gunman, who's hands were shaking.

"If I give you everything, you own nothing. Not your success nor your failure. Times are tough, but I can assure you, living under tyranny is far worse. I promise America will come out on top."

The man relaxes, and the Ghost takes the gun from man and releases him to police custody. As the heroes walk back into the White House, the Ghost turns and waves to his people and enters the building.
