Chapter 36 - Watchtowers For Defence

Adrian stood atop the newly constructed watchtower, overlooking his land of Adenlia. He watched as his puppets worked tirelessly to construct four more watchtowers around the perimeter of his land. The sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow across the sky.

As he stood there, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction at what he had accomplished in such a short amount of time. The land was becoming more secure, and he could see the potential for even more growth in the future.

He looked down at his puppets, still hard at work. They moved with a speed and precision that would put any human worker to shame. He felt a sense of pride in his creations, knowing that they were able to accomplish so much in such a short amount of time.

Adrian turned to his assistant Pan and said, "Once the watchtowers are completed, we will be able to keep a closer eye on the surrounding area." "We can keep our land safe and secure from any potential threats."

Pan nodded in agreement: "Yes, with the watchtowers, we will have a better view of the land, and we can see any dangers coming from miles away."

Adrian smiled and said, "Exactly. We can ensure the safety of our land and continue to grow and expand with these watchtowers."

Adrian already ordered four more watchtowers than were needed to be built. His puppets were already working on those four more watchtowers, and he watched them work.

Adrian commanded within his mind.

"Ten puppets will permanently work on these watchtowers as archers; two puppets on each tower will be stationed all the time unless ordered otherwise."

After his command, his puppets quickly set to work, following his command to station two archers in each watchtower at all times. He had appointed two humanoid puppets to each watchtower, ensuring that they would be constantly manned and able to spot any potential danger.

As the puppets worked, Adrian could see the structure of the watchtowers taking shape before his very eyes. He watched with pride as the wooden beams and planks were expertly crafted and assembled together, forming a sturdy and reliable structure.

Once the first watchtower was completed, Adrian climbed up the stairs to take a look at the view from the top. From there, he could see the entire expanse of his land, as well as the surrounding forests and hills.

Satisfied with the progress, Adrian looked at the four watchtowers, which each have about ten to fifteen meters and are built solidly with good foundations and excessive wood material. Adrian also decided to build watchtowers in strategic locations, one in the middle of the camp and four others in the four corners of the land for the time being.

As his land grows, he will upgrade the wood towers to stone towers, but it takes time to complete these things, and he needs more time and manpower to keep working on those things.

As the puppets continued their work, Adrian couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. He had built a thriving community in a short amount of time, and he was determined to protect it at all costs.
