Chapter 5 : My mate , my love

After they finished greeting her , Christopher dragged Evelyn to his room to have a talk with her . Mate or not , he just met her and they need to talk .

While walking there , the maids in the corridors were giving Evelyn weird glances . If it was any other person , they would have felt utterly uncomfortable, but as she was used to such glances , she completely ignored them .

Other than being used to it , she had her mate by her side . Earlier when he grabbed her hand , she felt sparks all over body and judging from his slight flinch , he also felt it .

Oh God ! She still can't wrap her mind around what's happening ! Vampire King is her mate !

However, she felt quite calm and happy , when he touched her .

While Evelyn was wrapping her head around what was happening , Christopher was over the moon , thinking about his upcoming lovely life with his mate . He almost lost hope , when she appeared unexpectedly.

When they arrived , he pulled her inside and closed the door then led her to the couch and knelt in front of her .

" I know this is awkward for you . After all , we are from enemy races and mates . Also , you just met me and I introduced you as the Queen . But understand one thing , you're my mate . The one that I have been waiting for , for years, and now that you're in front of me , I will never let you go . You don't know me , so how about I prove myself to you as a worthy mate and make you fall in love with me ? If you don't like me or think it's uncomfortable here , we'll go in our separate ways . However, I won't suggest that as I'll really treasure you forever . " Christopher said while maintaining eye contact , trying to find any kind of approval in her eyes .

Evelyn stayed silent for a while , " Do you really want a werewolf as your mate ? "

" I don't have any problem with that . You're my mate , and your race won't decide anything . " He said with a small smile and so much love in his eyes that Evelyn got startled .

" Then ... then I'd like to give this relationship a chance . " She said with so much hesitation that made Christopher take her into his arms immediately .

Evelyn flinched immediately, but as his scent surrounded her , she relaxed into his arms gradually .

Feeling the change , Christopher smiles as he said , " I won't let you regret this , ever ! "

Then Christopher broke the hug and kissed her forehead .

" This is my room and from now on , it's our room , okay ? I'll get you everything you need , you don't need to worry about anything ! " Christopher was so excited that he called the maids and gave instructions regarding buying her clothes and such .

Seeing all this , Evelyn was so moved . She couldn't believe that a person she just met would be willing to do all this for her . Even if they were mates .

" Why ... why are you doing all this ? I know we're mates , but we just met . " Evelyn was confused after the maids left and Christopher was wandering the room checking everything .

" What do you mean why ? I have been waiting for you for years . I almost lost hope and thought I was mateless . But then you came . Making me the happiest when I knew of your existence. You have no idea what seeing you does to me . " Christopher was full of emotion and love when he said those words , that he stunned Evelyn .
