"From now until the time I return from my meeting, you must gather three packages from the city. I have left a necklace that shows my symbol which will allow you to leave the academy. The packages are very important. They will be from the goblin potion shop, the burning smith's blacksmith, and the Raven family auction house."

Clark read this out loud wondering how it could take so long to get these packages. But he didn't doubt that he had the reason to do and it would take some time. Alexander was sneaky. There was sure to be something that would slow the process down. "Oh wait, there's a back side."

"Crim is required to remain behind. You will understand why while you are out. I believe I saw you have a secondary spatial ring." Clark looked at the letter. He had hidden the second spatial ring so that no one would know. But Alexander had somehow figured it out.

"Crim, I will have you rest here. I want you to meditate and try to understand your body better. You have the form of a dragon but are really a slime. There are a lot of things you will be capable of but if you don't master your own body then you won't scratch the surface of your potential." The way Clark spoke inspired Crim.

Out of everything that Crim could do, he had mostly been following Clark around like a lost puppy. Even the short battle he had been in, he felt useless. Yes, they had won, but it had not been enough to show off his strength. He had the pride of a dragon after all.

After Clark heard the soft growl in response he moved out of his room. He had the perfect spot to change clothing in mind. When he had entered the academy there was a small grove of trees nearby the entrance. It was ideal to hide away for a few moments while Devi remained on guard.

A few older students saw Clark heading for the gates but didn;t do anything. They knew that some of the first year students had to learn the hard way that they were not allowed off campus without express permission from the professors. This was to prevent the younger students from doing anything to tarnish the Nova academy name.

The older students would receive the privilege to go outside the academy after they had reached certain levels in their education. But normally, they would choose to remain within the walls of the academy since they had everything they needed. The rare times they would need resources they could often do tasks or purchase them.

"Halt. first years students are not-" The guard at the gates saw the necklace that had a gargoyle symbol on it. This was the symbol that Alexander had given Clark to allow him exit from the academy.

"I apologize. Student of Alexander, you have permission to leave the ground. Please follow the secondary corridor to the outer gate. The forest is only for entrance examinations and is off limits to everyone." The guard had changed attitude very quickly. It made Clark realize just how powerful Alexander really was.

"Thank you. I will return in time." Clark gave a respectful nod bringing the guard's opinion of him up. Clark knew how important it was to treat these people with respect. A gate guard could make life easier or harder depending on the relationship. It was a little corrupt but most guards in the city had very strict teachings. If they violated certain rules they could be completely banished from the city. Therefore, many gate guards were honest and upstanding citizens.

The secondary corridor was just large enough and came out right next to the outer gate. Clark felt that he had missed a sneaky option for getting to the academy quicker. Yet, he knew that the academy would hide such an entrance.

"Devi, keep watch over the trees so I can change without worry." Clark changed in to the ghostly attire and phantom like mask. He changed the spatial rings so that he could hide who he was. The only thing he kept on him was the gargoyle necklace. But he wasn't foolish, he hid it underneath his clothing to keep it hidden until he needed it to pick up packages.

"Are you serious? He left that easily? What an idiot. We can make him follow the young master's orders now."

"Just stay on your toes. Even a fly can kill a giant if by surprise."

Two boys walked out of the same gate Clark had just walked out of. If he hadn't hidden to change clothing he would not have heard their conversation. "Devi, the Cain family sent us some toys to play with while we are out. Let's wait until we are back though. I don't want to waste my time." Devi landed right On Clark's shoulder. He remained invisible but felt the bloodthirsty energy the same way Clark did.

Cain family pawns seaside, Clark looked carefully over the letter. He decided that the goblin potion shop should be first. It was rather popular in the city because it was always in stock with whatever potions were needed. "I might as well try and sell the small fire crystals too while I am out. I could use my own supplies."

The potion shops in the city bought just about anything. Many alchemists used their tamed beasts to help them experiment and create new potions. The goal was a perfect potion that could bring someone from the brink of death. But that was a dream nobody had realized yet.

The specter that was Clark moved through the streets with little to no one noticing him. The clothing seemed to dissuade people from wanting to look directly at him. Those who did see him wrote him off as an eccentric tamer. This was not unfamiliar because those that went outside the safety of the walls often had a few screws loose.

The normal merchants were selling their items with loud shouts and pitches. Clark sneakily dodged through the crowd to find the large entrance of the goblin potion shop. It was named for the master that opened it. He had a goblin shaymin as a tamed beast. They had built the shop with their own two hands and still taught new alchemists to this day.

"Welcome Welcome. Come right this way and tell me what strikes your fancy!" The vibrant chubby man at the counter was glad to see a new customer. He had been a little slow for the day. Another sale was greatly welcome.

"I am here to sell these and buy some healing potions. Whatever these can buy is fine." The man looked at the small fire crystals and swapped them out quickly. A sale was a sale. Especially if it came with new materials. "These three medium tier potions are all you can get. The change is seven copper. Is that all you are after today?" The man looked ready to eat Clark whole. He was greedy.

"I am also picking up a package from Alexander." Clark lifted the necklace and saw the chubby man go deathly pale. Alexander had certainly left an imprint on him.
