Altered rewards
Waking up was not a simple matter. Clark found himself still next to Maria. But he also found himself next to the entirety of his group.
They had managed to set up bed rolls right out in the open. Right in the center of the Mourne family training grounds where Clark had dealt with the very person responsible for the death of his family.
The feeling was not at all what he expected. Instead of a full feeling that should have taken over the empty space where his love for his parents had existed, it remained empty. Hollow.
It wasn't that there was a negative feeling because he ahd completed his revenge. Instead, it was an empty feeling left behind by losing the main focus of what he ahd set out to do. He ahd wanted to defeat the one that caused him all this pain. That sparked his rage.
Now, he wasn't sure what else to do.
