George stared at the angel with a dead expression on his face. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry at his predicament, his eyes cold and aura expanding from his body.
"What makes you think, you have the qualifications to kill any one of us here?" George spoke with a frown on his face, if it were just him he would have already kept up there and tear the cocky moron to pieces!
He, the No1 Supreme Warrior im existence is getting talked down on by this useless and dumb avain? It seems like it is quite difficult to notice a dragon amongst the worms nowadays.
"Since you won't co-operate with me, then it's only right for you to die by my blade!" The angel standing at the forefront roared as he descended with his sword raised above his head, preparing for a dangerous cleave - one enough to split the idiot in two halves.
Leon who noticed this frowned before raising his hands and swinging it at the angels direction, his action caused the area around the descending angel to churn, forcing the angel to fly back up to evade the sudden tearing apart of air around him.
Leon didn't stop there, he shot up like a bullet after the angel with his book floating at similar speeds after him, in his ascent he kept swinging his hands around like a madman warping the area where the angel could be found and forcing target to retreat in a hurry.
Leon was a bit confused as to how the angel was able to escape all his skills, but he kept it at the back of his mind and focused on his chase.
Avalyn who noticed this, quickly took a shooting stance and nocked an arrow, aiming at the angels flying towards her and shooting them down with her glowing green arrows. Her eyes glowing as she traced their movements.
"Immortal Ruby Tiger!" Azai roared as he leaped forward with his gauntlets glowing in a faintly red light, his skin giving off a red metallic lustre. He was ready to tear apart each and every angel he faced without mercy.
Azai leaped forward in a burst of bright red angel, his eyes glowing in a fierce light as he smacked down an angel with his massive red claws formed from his red energy - the power in that smack alone, was surely enough to shatter all the bones in the angel's body.
"Boom!" "Shatter!"
With the massive explosion of red, the angel was cast down - crashing into the earth below in a wake of a massive shockwave. Following the shockwave was the spreading out of thick web-like cracks on the earth.
Surprisingly enough, not only did the angel not get harmed by the explosion or blow, it seemed like only his outer armour had shattered and his body wrapped in loose white clothes was unscathed!
"Huh? Impossible!" Azai roared, stunned as he dashed towards the next enemy, equally snacking him down without remorse and watching him fall down to the earth in a massive red explosion of energy.
Unlike his predecessor, this angel was completely unscathed as he had prepared for that strike. The angel wasn't stupid, and after building up power - he flew back up with his brother flying after him.
Azai who stood dozens of metres away from them, was speechless. He gave Eleanor who was behind him a glance and nodded hastily as a sort of hidden body code to the witch, a code related to to the strange vitality of the enemy.
"George, Leon and Avalyn… Gather! I'm going to cast a massive spell now…" Eleanor shouted as she held up her staff and quickly shut her eyes, her expression turning cold and bland. Her face had lost all colour, and her aura had died out completely.
What, so early? Leon wondered as he swung his arm to the side, completely tearing apart a group of angels flying towards him. He was a bit appalled, at their unwavering resilience and terrifying durability.
[Space Rend, Spatial Claw] - a terrifying skill that was very effective at controlling crowds of enemies, taking them out at once without any chance of resistance.
Against normal foes, only a single swipe of his hands was enough to complete rend the space around his enemies, tearing a huge chunk of them to pieces in a instant. But, even after using his [Space Rend, Spatial Claw], a couple of times already, only a few has fallen.
He glanced at George who had a nonchalant gleam in his eyes and shook his head. If George were to make a move, these stupid angels, no matter their power or resilience, would die without a doubt - all of them.
"Sigh, George has always been known to be neutral in fights unless someone with him is in danger…" Leon lowered his head and spoke under his breath, warping the space around his voice to prevent his voice from reaching out and getting heard by George.
Soon, the group of four had dashed back and huddled around Eleanor whose body was giving off a soft ethereal glow, numerous complicated runes floating and circling around her. Soon, the outline of a delicate magic circle was formed beneath her.
"Leon, I want you to check something for me. I want you to scan this place, and tell me what you see."
Leon stared at George, understanding what he meant immediately. After a few seconds, he stared down upon his notes, watching as the pages flipped by themselves before settling down.
"Cast - Immortal Viewpoint Of Reality!" Leon spoke out softly as he extended his hand and rested his palm upon the open page of the book. In a swirl of silver energy, everything in Leon's sight was erased.
All he could now see was a vast and endless void of whiteness, nothing existed in this whiteness.
Soon, various dark and surreal orbs of light began to form in this whiteness, starting from the biggest - The size of a young baby - to the smallest - which not bigger than a small tennis ball.
"No wonder they're so strong in defence, they're must be under some kind of eternal buff that increases their durability by a large margin."
After he said those words out loud, the whiteness was cleared and everything returned to normal.
He then spared George a grave and begging expression, he knew that if they were to spend so much time just against the gate men, then their journey inside would be much more difficult - giving the time the enemy had to prepare for them.
"Evelyn, I want you to channel all your energy at that guy, I'm about to unleash a large scale attack upon these pathetic weaklings." George spoke with a frown, as he lifted and his hand stilled it. At that moment, Everything around him seemed to have frozen.
Even the soft glow his blade was giving off, had died out with a flicker. What reigned at that moment was eternal silence and primordial cold.
Without any fancy words or shouting of skill names, he dropped his hands and smirked. As soon as his hands were dropped, a fierce and terrifying outburst of cold was unleashed - and everything was frozen.
Only Leon, Avalyn, Eleanor and Azai were spared. As for the angels, the had been frozen into fine ice sculptures, their splendid poses frozen in time was a truly wonderful sight to behold.
Leon gulped. George's [Eternal Cold], a skill that only he had perfected to the peak, was one of the the most frightening ice-based abilities out there. Imbued with his innate chaos element, his ice was impossible to thaw no matter how much heat one applied.
George's [Eternal Cold] wasn't just limited to a small area, in a fit of rage he had frozen numerous planets whose people were against the Flag Of Supremacy.
Minutes after the freezing of all angels, Eleanor's eyes shot open as she dropped her staff and pointed it at the angel who acted as leader, the corner of her lips raising into a wicked curve as she opened her mouth.
"[Soul… Rend]"
All the runes floating and swirling around Eleanor, shone brightly for a while before forming a panoply before her and staying still. As soon as the runes stilled, the magic circle beneath the party bloomed in a pink radiance - and the vague silhouette of a dragon took form behind Eleanor.
The collosal amphiptere released a booming, life-like roar as it charged forward, phasing through Eleanor and directly towards the silver winged angel.
Just a few metres away from the angel, the dragon froze before suddenly shattering into a million fragments that scattered across the area. As soon as the fragments touches the frozen ground, they would slowly fade away into runes that flew back to Eleanor.
Eleanor retrieved her runes in shock, and watched speechlessly as all the ice too began to fade away in numerous dimly lit snowflakes. She was astounded.
No one was more speechless than George whose eyes were about to pop out of his skull, he felt as if he had finally witnessed something shocking after thousands of years spent cultivating in his ice dao.
His ice was an immortal force unable to be thawed by anyone or any force, h-his ice was an invincible force!
"Weak creations of mine, what brings you to True Faith? Speak quickly, or I might not take the slaughter of my children very lightly…"
Weak creations?
