Chapter 67

"Kekeke—"

A strange laughter suddenly echoed from the sky.

"What's that?" a police officer raised his head to locate the source of the sound.

He saw round metallic objects resembling golden pumpkins falling from the sky.

Due to the darkness, they couldn't immediately recognize what those objects were.

It wasn't until the spheres landed and erupted in a massive explosion of flames.

Boom, boom, boom!

The sound of explosions reverberated.

Several officers who were relatively close to the impact point were sent flying by the shockwave, their fate unknown.

"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" An officer immediately shouted.

All the officers sought cover and aimed their guns at the sky.

In the darkness, a figure hurtled towards them.

Underneath his feet was a single-person glider. He wore metallic green armor and a terrifying mask on his head. A continuous series of eerie and nauseating laughter escaped from his mouth.

"What kind of monster is this again?" a police officer questioned, voicing the thoughts of most present.

"Could it be another creation of the Osborne Corporation? Wasn't that Lizard one as well?" a police officer with a prophetic inkling guessed offhandedly, surprisingly coming quite close to the truth.

Indeed, the arriving individual was none other than Norman Osborn, who had just undergone the injection of the Green Goblin serum! After Dr. Mendel administered the serum to him, he fell into a brief state of unconsciousness.

However, merely ten minutes later, he woke up again.

Upon awakening, although he didn't possess the same burly and imposing physique as the "demon" in his dream, he could still sense the ferocious power coursing through his body.

Of course, most importantly, with his body's enhancement, the curse embedded in the Osborn family's genes since birth—the retroviral cell hyperplasia—had been completely eradicated by the serum's power!

From now on, their family would never have to endure this torment again!

Just as he was reveling in his newfound body and strength, Dr. Mendel, who had been previously dismissed by him, returned. He informed Norman that a large number of officers were engaged in battle near the Osborn Building with Dr. Connors, who had transformed into the Lizard creature, and Spider-Man.

Originally, Dr. Mendel's intention was for Norman Osborn to leave immediately. After all, he hadn't received the promised payment yet.

However, upon hearing the words "Spider-Man," something seemed to trigger a switch within Norman Osborn.

His expression suddenly changed drastically.

Subsequently, he ruthlessly killed Dr. Mendel. He went to the secret underground chamber beneath the Osborn Building, retrieving the yet-to-be-deployed individual combat armor and single-person flight vehicle.

After completing his transformation, Norman Osborn fully became the Green Goblin and arrived at this location!

"Where's Spider-Man?!!" Despite the numerous barrels pointed at him from below, the Green Goblin seemed unfazed. He shouted out the phrase that had been pent up inside him since he left the secret underground chamber.

"Would Spider-Man come out to play?!"

Meanwhile, Mark and Andrew Spider finally found the vial of Lizard genetic serum that Lizard Doctor had discarded on the side.

Just as Andrew Spider breathed a sigh of relief and was about to head straight to find Gwen Stacy to have her use the prepared serum to neutralize the vial, their spider senses were simultaneously triggered!

"Did you sense that, Mark?" Andrew Spider's expression darkened.

Mark nodded with a solemn face.

Even before either of them could speak, they heard distant explosions and the hoarse roar of the Green Goblin.

Andrew Spider found this somewhat baffling.

It hadn't been long since he became Spider-Man, and he considered the already defeated Lizard Doctor to be his greatest adversary.

Now, where had this new major villain come from?

And right off the bat, he was specifically looking for him?

Mark was equally puzzled.

At this point in the Amazing Spider-Man's timeline, logically speaking, there should only be one major super-villain: the Lizard.

Could it be that, similar to what happened in the Toby Spider world before, there's a butterfly effect caused by his arrival?

But his influence on this world is so much smaller!

After arriving here, he had only met Andrew Spider once. To prevent any unexpected changes, he hadn't even sought out the Lizard Doctor, who was the main antagonist in the first installment.

Could this still create a butterfly effect?

Mark was somewhat skeptical.

He immediately said, "You take the genetic serum and go find Gwen. I'll go check it out."

"Alright," Andrew Spider naturally had no objections; he had full confidence in Mark's abilities.

Saying that, he grabbed the backpack that originally belonged to the Lizard and leaped onto a rooftop, heading towards the direction of the Osborn Building.

Mark turned and swiftly moved in the direction of the sounds.

'I'm curious to see which boss is in such a hurry to make an appearance!'

"Tell me now! Where's Spider-Man!"

"Arrhhh! Spider-Man!"

As Mark approached the scene, dozens of meters away, he heard the voices.

The first voice was faintly familiar but hard to discern.

However, the second voice made his expression change drastically.

It was the figure of the Lizard Doctor!

"Darn it! Could it be that the Lizard Doctor is being rescued by this new villain?"

Afterward, he jumped onto a building that had been punctured, looking toward the location of the recent battle.

In the place where Andrew Spider had battled the Lizard Doctor moments ago, the police officers lay injured and dead.

A figure clad in green armor stood on a glider, hovering two or three meters above the ground. He held George Stacy's collar, demanding, "Where's Spider-Man!"

Meanwhile, down below, the Lizard, who had narrowly escaped being captured, was on a rampage.

His clawed fingers were incredibly sharp, capable of slicing through steel as if it were paper. Human bodies stood no chance against this slaughter. Even bulletproof vests were torn to shreds with ease.

Everywhere, you could see bodies wearing bulletproof vests torn into several pieces!

"Damn it!" Mark seethed with anger.

George Stacy stared at the face so close to him, the demonic voice filling his ears.

Now, he finally realized the fundamental difference between Spider-Man and these monsters!

Spider-Man is human!

But these beings don't deserve to be called human!

It was ironic how he had treated Spider-Man in the past.

It was all too late now.

George Stacy clenched his fist and threw a punch at the Green Goblin's mask.

However, the mask was made of a special alloy, breathable yet incredibly sturdy.

The punch didn't harm the Green Goblin; instead, it left George's hand stinging.

Nonetheless, while not highly damaging physically, it was extremely demeaning.

After his consciousness was fully consumed by the thoughts in his mind, the Green Goblin's sanity was nearing that of the ultimate universe's Green Goblin.

"Arrhhhhhg!" he roared, pulling out a dagger and lunging it at George Stacy!
