"Good morning miss Jenny, Your father wants to see you as soon as possible" .

"What?..., Why?" Her previously calm, carefree and beautiful happy  face turned pale as she asked .

" I don't really know but it seemed urgent" the butler said almost impatiently.

  She's always scared whenever her father sends for her with this kind of urgency.

It was  either she was in trouble or something very important came up.

Her stomach felt sick as she walked slowly to her father's office. Different forms of scenarios kept playing in her head.

When she got to the door of the office, she paused for a moment to fix her posture and facial expression, she didn't want to  portray  fear when she was Infront of her father.

She gathered up courage and entered the office.

The office was dark and the desk was filled with scattered books and papers.

Her father was looking through some important looking documents when she entered and didn't even bother to look up at her .

" Father, I was told you wanted to see me ..."

" Yes, you know, you are my only child and the only close family of mine after your mother passed away ... And I've always wanted the best for you..." Her father responded now looking straight at her

  She felt a little intimidated looking in her father's eyes but she managed to put her self together and answered

" Yes father "

  " Right,   so that is why I have decided for you to get married to Jeremy Spades" her father continued.

" Wh...what !? " Her spirit almost left her body after hearing what her father said . "Get married to Jeremy Spades? " She repeated what her father said almost crying .

"Yes,  you heard right " her father responded emotionlessly.

"But father...."

"There are no buts, I've decided and that's final "  her father said coldly.

"There will be a banquet at the lunar hotel tomorrow , I want you to accompany me there because Jeremy will also be there and it will be nice for you two to bond " her father continued .

She had no choice but to agree to go with him .

When she left her father's office and returned to her room, she threw herself on the bed and started sobbing.

She'd wanted to get married to a man she really loved not a man she barely knew not to talk of  Jeremy Spades a man almost everyone feared .

She has always thought her father never cared about her but not to the extent of  forcing her to get married to a Mafia boss .

She was deeply lost in her thoughts when she heard a knock on her door.

  " Please come in the door is opened" she responded.

The butler walked in holding a  beautiful red dress .

" Your father wants you to wear this to the banquet tomorrow " he said as he place the dress on her bed

" Oh... And from today , you'll be accompanied by 15 armed guards everywhere you go to ensure your safety " he added

  She finally lost all hopes of her father changing his mind  after what the butler told her .

She cried all night and by morning, she'd accepted her fate .

After arriving at the banquet, Jenny's father left her to go meet his friends.

She was bored and lonely so she decided to explore a little bit.

As she turned a corner, she accidentally bumped into someone .

She immediately turned to apologize but when she saw who it was , her heart skipped a beat and her whole body froze in place.

  Standing Infront of her was a tall , handsome , poker faced Jeremy Spades...
