chapter five. arranged marriage

Third persons pov

Ji-hun sat on his king size bed in his room, his attention on his phone. Just then there was a knock on the door.

" Come in ". He said his eyes still on his phone

" oppa ". His five year old sister called walking in.

" Yeah sis ".

" Daddy wanna see you in his study ".

He paused then looked up at her. " What does he want? ".

She shrugged. " I don't know " . " You go find out " .

She closed the door stomping away.

Ji-hun dropped his phone on the night stand standing from the bed. He put on his flip flops then walked to the door opening it and leaving the room.

He conered down the opposite way walking down the corridor leading to the study room. He passed the guest room then  came to a halt in front of a brown wodden double door.

He gasped then knocked on it.

" Come in " . A husky voice said from the other side of the door. Ji-hun pushed the door open then entered inside. Ji-hun searched the whole room full of shelves filled with books then in a corner was a reading table and Mr Kim , ( ji-hun's dad) was there his attention on a book.

Ji-hun walked to him, standing directly in front of his table. He cleared his throat trying to make his father acknowledge his presence but Mr Kim didn't say a thing.

" Dad you called ".

The room was enclosed with silence as Mr Kim didn't say a thing to ji-hun, he didn't even look at him and that killed him. It made his mind raced thinking about what his dad wanted to talk about.

Mr Kim closed the book, the noise it made echoing.

Will looked up at ji-hun. " I heard hyun's son came today " .

Is this really why he called me. Ji-hun asked himself. " Yes ". He replied. " Uncle hyun told me he comes once in a while to help out " .

" Hmmmm". Mr Kim hummed. " That's nice ". Mr Kim adjusted his reading glasses.

" Anyways I called you here to talk about your future, after college ".

Ji-hun raised a brow. " After college ".

" Yes off course after college, your going to be taking over my business ".

Ji-hun sighed. " But dad I told you, after college, I wanna go into swimming ".

Mr Kim burst into laughter. " That's not happening, swimming isn't your concern".

" But.... "

" No buts ". Mr Kim cut him off. " And since your going to take over me, your gonna have to marry the daughter of the choi family ".

Ji-hun  grew wideyed. " But dad....... Why? Why do I have to do that? ".

" Because I said so, they are one of our strong investors and to keep the bond, your going to have to marry her ".

Ji-hun sighed. It's pointless trying to talk to his dad, he never listens.  " Okay dad as you wish ".

" Good ". He nodded. " Now go I'm busy ". He sat down back on the chair.

He sighed then walked towards the door. Ji-hun opened the door then left the study.
