Chapter 359 ( Your name is - II )

Absolute silence had invaded the helicopter as everyone watched on as the [God Eater] was completely exhausted.

[Yan Zhi] had not moved an inch even though the [God Eater] had shot her hundreds of times, all thanks to her [Slaves] who had sacrificed themselves for her.

"Complete annihilation" - muttered the pilot as he saw how the other helicopters had disappeared from the sky, leaving only pieces of charred scrap on the ground.

The soldiers and [God Eater] inside the helicopter did not know what to say, nor did they have anything to do, as normal firearms were almost ineffective against high-risk [Aragami] and [God Eater] only had short-range weapons.

[Yan Zhi] gave them one last glance before taking flight and standing in front of the helicopter, only for a blue aura to start surrounding the flying vehicle.

"!" - the soldiers looked at this in terror as it was obvious that the [Aragami] still wanted to continue toying with them.

"These sons of bitches!" - shouted one soldier while biting his lip - "We can't escape and now we're forced to land, and all because of a useless girl!"

The soldiers could only shout profanities against the little white-haired girl who had been killed, only to scream at the [God Eater] who had shot her.

The helicopter slowly descended to the ground as the temperature gradually drops.

Sophia was in complete silence after seeing the complete annihilation of her former comrades, only to sigh regretfully - "We'd better retreat."

"I think so too" - Lindow replied as he shook his head, though inside he didn't know what to say.

"I think we'll have to accept a punishment when we get back to the central base" - said Tatenashi, though honestly she wasn't too worried because the only thing they could do to them, would be to revoke their rights as a [God Eater].

"The good thing is that when a [God Arc] recognises its [God Eater], they become inseparable," said Houki as she continued piloting the helicopter in the direction of the central base, "And we don't possess [God Arc]."

"By the way, you never used your weaponry" - said Sakuya with a frown as the group failed to see the mysterious weapons of the two women.

"Better luck next time" - replied Tatenashi as she smiled mysteriously, only for the others to roll their eyes at her - "Ok, we just didn't use them because we didn't need to."

The others decided not to say anything else, they quickly focused on their surroundings, only to notice how the last allied helicopter was descending.

"Let's go" - Lindow said as he sighed with regret, though inside he could only curse human greed. If it wasn't for that [God Eater] not wanting to attack [Yan Zhi], they would have escaped with hundreds of their colleagues, but none of that mattered anymore.

Sakuya took one last look at the huge silver dragon, only to sigh at the knowledge that he would soon be listed as one of humanity's greatest enemies. The former hope of mankind was gone, leaving only a beast that could bring about the apocalypse if left unchecked.

Cloud snorted in disdain as he saw how the humans that had attacked Shio had been completely wiped out, leaving only a helicopter - "I see [Yan Zhi] takes special care for them, that's good."

Cloud wouldn't admit it, but the short time Shio had been with him had made him adjust to his situation better. Without the help and companionship of the small white-haired girl, he would have lost his sanity, or worse, he would have let his growing instincts take over his actions.

The huge silver dragon slowly looked down at the limp body of his little companion, only to sigh with regret. He quickly descended and carefully laid the girl on the ground, only to have her body begin to glow with an enormous intensity.

Cloud was using the new [Skill] he had obtained after consuming the 20 [God Eater]. He slowly observed his body, only to notice that he was now about two meters tall, his body was still that of a dragon, it was just that now his appearance was much more humanoid - "I guess it's like my version while using [Incursio] in its armor mode, only much more savage."

Cloud quickly shook his head and carefully picked Shio up again, only to spread his wings and fly to where his subordinate was.

[Master] - muttered [Yan Zhi] as she noticed her master's presence. She was not confused by her leader's new appearance.

[Complete annihilation] - that was all Cloud said in his hoarse voice that hadn't changed much from his dragon version.

[As you command] - [Yan Zhi] replied as she disappeared from the scene. She quickly made the ice around the helicopter disappear, with the exception of the propellers because it was obvious that she didn't want them to escape easily.

"I'll give you the last hope for survival," Cloud said as he looked at the humans inside the helicopter, "You only have to survive for 30 minutes in the hunt for [Sapphire]."

Cloud frowned as he felt some of his energy disappear as a small pop-up screen appeared on his retina.

[Acquired name, [Yan Zhi] is now called [Sapphire]]

Cloud managed to feel how his connection with [Yan Zhi], or rather, [Sapphire] had increased considerably with just a few words. He was curious as to how things would go from now on, but quickly shook his head.

"You have 5 minutes to prepare, after that. [Sapphire] will attack," Cloud said as he spread his wings and disappeared from the scene.

The soldiers and [God Eater], could only look at each other as they thought of how to get out of their precarious situation.

"That idiot" - said one soldier as he looked at the one responsible for his situation who was still breathing heavily. It was obvious that he did not want to admit that he was also to blame for his situation because no one apart from the soldier who was tied up, had tried to do anything to stop the person responsible.

The others looked at each other as they thought about who to sacrifice because it was obvious that they would not survive if they all went together.

Five minutes later, all the survivors walked out of the helicopter while observing the surroundings with extreme caution. They knew not to trust an [Aragami], but it was the only chance they had of getting out of this place alive.

"Do you think it was a good idea to leave those two in the helicopter?" - asked one soldier as he watched as his bound colleague and the [God Eater] responsible for attacking Shio were inside the transport.

"It's obvious that [Calamity] and that feathered bitch are furious with that bastard" - replied a [God Eater] with disdain - "And if we're lucky, they might have some fun with them while we escape."

"What's the probability of success?" - [God Eater] asked a [God Eater] who was sweating with pork in summer.

"Much greater than that of being all together" - replied the soldier disdainfully - "Now let's move unless you want to fall prey to those two beasts."

Cloud watched this with disdain as he shook his head, though he concentrated fully on the [God Eater] inside the helicopter.

When he saw that the soldiers had disappeared from his field of vision, Cloud appeared in front of the helicopter silently.

"!" - the [God Eater] opened his eyes in surprise at the sight of the silver-colored humanoid dragon, only to feel his heart pounding. The soldier was the same way, he could only swallow saliva to try to calm down as much as he could because he never thought he would see a beast like the one in front of his eyes.

"Very good afternoon" - Cloud said sarcastically as he looked at the two men who had stayed - "It's a pleasure to talk to you."

The [God Eater] and the soldier, didn't know what to say or do because the scene was too surreal.

"[Calamity]" - said the soldier as he felt fear as he recognised the voice - "I guess it's time for us to pay for what we did."

"Exactly, or at least he did" - said Cloud as he pointed towards the [God Eater], startling the soldier in the process.

"ARGH!" - but before he could say anything else, the scream of pain from the survivors trying to escape echoed in the distance.

"I guess [Sapphire] started her hunt," Cloud said as his red eyes watched his prey closely.
