The Marriage Part – 7

The next day the bride and the groom prepared to travel to the groom’s house for the Vratham and Reception. This was to be held in the province of Simhapuri, the home province of the groom. Special military shuttles had been requisitioned to transport both the families and the guests to the venue.

The journey was faster, smoother and a bit boring for the ladies and the children were awed by the uniformed men running the shuttles. Since most of the people were vary of the armed forces, they were quieter than they would be.

The shuttles stopped in front of a gargantuan fortress. The sentry at the entrance checked the authorisation codes of the shuttles. Then an identification ray was passed on these vehicles scanning the identity of each person. Satisfied that everything was in order, the sentry opened the gates of the fortress.
