Dion looked at the gate once again astounded by it beauty and size. Lily and Dion stood before it as the sun was shining brightly giving it a magical aura of mystery.

"This is my masters old laboratory." Said Lily with a tinge of sorrow.

"He erected this place to further his science of hell, as even in his times it was rare to go to hell as people would slowly lose their sanity in this place. But he created this holy land with a lot of work and used it survive in hell."

Normal living beings wouldn't be able to survive in hell as they would slowly lose their sanity. Demon could only survive in hell as they had already lost their sanity's long ago. They only lived by their instinct and desires.

Human beings and other creatures would slowly lose their minds in hell, due to the high concentrations of dark energy that would slowly creep up into their minds corrupting it.

"Can we enter the laboratory?" Asked Dion curiously hoping he would find something that would get him out of hell.

"No we cannot." Said Lily sighing.

"Why can't we enter?" Asked Dion in disappointment, as her master was most likely already dead or not coming back.

"I cant open the gate, as it has a lock, that I am not able to open." Said Lily

Dion felt defeated and disappointed that he couldn't enter, hoping to find something that could get him out of hell. But he was satisfied with what he got as he hadn't expected to even find this place.

'But still not being able to enter the most likely to be holy grail of magic, is truly defeating.' Dion thought as he looked at the gate.

"The lock is not a conventional magic lock that only needs mana of the owner to open but the mana also needs to be controlled precisely through small nodes so it opens. And as I am not able to control mana freely I cannot open the lock." Said Lily turning to Dion.

"But with you it's different. You have a complete soul so your able to control mana freely."

"But I dont have the mana of your master?" Said Dion confused, not understanding what she was getting at.

"That's where I come in. As I am made by the mana of my master, if I give you a portion of it you, should be able to use it to solve the lock. But that's only if you can precisely control the mana, which you most likely cant." Said lily.

"So what, should do we do?" Asked Dion confused, hoping that he could still get some how into the laboratory.

"Training." Said Lily while looking at the unsuspecting Dion.

"Train, you'll train me!" He exclaimed with a huge.

GROWL!

Dions belly growled as his hunger slowly crept up.

He looked embarrassed, with a small smile at Lily.

"But first let's get you something to eat." Said Lily sighing.

Dion and Lily went down to the lake to catch some fish. Dion made a stone spear with magic and waited patiently for a fish to come close. The lake had a shallow side where Dion could spear fish without problems.

Dion waited patiently when fish came near him.

SPLASH!

He shoved the spear into the fish piercing it. He lifted the tip of the spear up to see a fairly large fish on it.

"Look, I caught a fish." Dion said excitedly to Lily as he held it high into the sky.

"Congratulations." Lily disinterestedly gratulated Dion.

He cut the fish into edible meat pieces and cooked it under his fire. The fish steamed as it released a tempting aroma.

Dion ate the fish making sure to relish every part of its meat. It was a nice change from the demon meat.

After he had eaten his fair share of fish he went to rest for a bit. He lay in the grass as he looked at the ceiling. The sun was only artificial and was made out of mana stones that were programmed to release light magic for the day and a lighter shade of light for the night. When Lily told him this he was astounded by the amount of mana crystals that must have been used for it.

He started to relaxed his body into the warm and colorfully grass when Lily stormed toward him.

"How long are you gonna lase around. You don't have an infinite amounts of time." Said Lily to him angrily.

"Yes, yes. I'm already up." He said lifting his hands up showing he was innocent.

"Now follow me, I have a place to show you." Lily said heading into a direction.

He eagerly followed her as they entered the forest.

"Where are we going" He asked excitedly.

"You'll see." Lily said ignoring him.

They continued walking for a couple minutes before they entered a small opening in the forest. The mana crystals were directly shining light onto the opening making it shine brightly. The opening had a round stone platform in the middle of it.

"This is where you'll meditate, as this platform that is inscribed with magical arrays, will boost your meditation a substantial amount. Making progress faster." Lily said.

"And don't worry about advancing your core too fast as I'll be training your martial arts and magic in the meantime."

Dion was rather flustered as he hadn't expected this.

"Well how does it work? Do I just sit in the middle and meditate?" He asked.

"Yes, it's just normal meditation. The platform just helps you gather all the mana from the surroundings." Lily replied.

The platform was surrounded by wird round blue crystals. They were spaced even between each other.

Dion walked toward the platform, stepping on its stairs and already feeling the thick mana radiating from its center. The mana in the atmosphere kept getting thicker and denser as he approached it center.

Finally he sat down and started meditating feeling the mana on his skin. He focused as he started breaking through. The mana fiercely spun around his core as he slowly fed it to his core.
