The Age Of Chaos (2): Beast God Leon

The Age Of Chaos – started 10,000 years ago and lasted for 1,000 years.

As the humans and beasts went on killing each other, their numbers started to decrease drastically.

There were many mothers that lost their children, many wives who lost their husbands, many families destroyed, and much more.

But even after that, the destruction and grudge continued. In fact, all these acted as a propeller or catalyst to increase the anger and hatred against each race.

There came a time when the beasts and the humans couldn't tolerate this massacre and hatred and decided to pull back.

Both of them came into a treaty. The beasts were the first to announce this which was followed by the humans. But of course, this wasn't what the humans wanted. They wanted to conquer the land. They wanted to snatch away the lands which the beasts held.

The humans were sneaky, their plan was to show a weak front and gather strength behind their backs. While the innocent beasts, who were still innocent, believed that there would no longer be any need for killing each other.

It was soon after this that the humans and beasts could no longer communicate with each other.

During this period of time, there emerged many humans who went down history. They created ranks of their own and categories. This created kingdoms, empires, and many more divisions.

The humans grew gradually and as their population increased much faster than the beasts, they became much more strategical. Yes, there came the requirement of food.

Then started the occupation of hunting beasts for food as the farmers couldn't produce enough.

Instead of developing methods of cultivating more food, they thought hunting the beasts would be good enough.

Of course, by this time, there were many Beast Cultivators in the world who trained hard. They had many institutes opened by now which only added more manpower for hunting.

Yes, then started phase two of the Age of Chaos which ended up taking more than half of the lives of the beasts.

Their numbers reduced drastically. This even caused many of them to go extinct.

During that time, there were beasts that were quite ferocious and incapable of reasoning. They had undergone a lot of changes as well.

Just like humans, beasts were capable of cultivation. Unfortunately, for them, they had to hunt their own kin and eat their hearts to increase their own power. This in the end caused a much more decrease in number and ended up adding the attribute of mercilessness and brutality to the beasts.

Yes, for a beast to increase its power, it needs to hunt and eat the hearts of other beasts. Similarly, if it ate the heart of a cultivator, it would still end up gaining more soul power which will enable it to level up.

This all chaos, led to the destruction of many empires as Beasts came invading the territories.

Regardless, this kept going on until one fine day, ten beasts were born.

Their cultivation was God-like. As soon as they were born, they ended up reaching level 10, and within a time of 10 years, they reached level 90.

These ten mythical beasts were to be soon remembered in the entire history of humanity.

For beasts, the word 'beast' is added in front of the cultivation rank whereas, for humans, only the rank is mentioned.

Regardless, these ten beasts, that saved the entire world from destruction, became renowned as Legendary Beasts.

Yes, these ten beasts, divided one large piece of land into continents and separated them from each other, filling the gap with a large amount of water.

Further, they ended the war by blessing both sides.

By then, the strongest cultivator from the sides of humans was only around Lv.50. As for beasts, the same was true. No beasts above Lv.50 existed since they never used to hunt and eat other people.

Humans – can totally eat 10 hearts before they reach Lv.100. But for beasts, the number is not certain. They can derive energy from every heart they eat. Of course, only the hearts of the cultivators matter the most because normal humans won't have much energy stored in their hearts.

If a beast hunts another beast to derive energy and cultivate, it would only be useful if the hunted beast is one level higher or about the same level.

That was how nature had decided everything.

However, the ten legendary beasts were different. They are required to eat only 10 hearts in total just like humans. They could cultivate on their own and probably that was why their speed of gaining energy was higher than any other beast out there.

In any case, out of all the ten legendary beasts, nine died.

How?

It was simple, the humans didn't want to stop the wars. They wanted to hunt beasts and take everything. The legendary beasts promised to do one thing if they stop the war and in the deal, their power and beast souls were taken.

They blessed the upcoming generations and died as their souls went inside the womb of nine human mothers.

As for the Beast God Leon, he never made a deal with humans.

Although he did preach peace, he couldn't come to believe the humans.

He was against his friends, the other nine legendary beasts, giving their lives for the sake of humans. A fight broke out between them.

Of course, no one could defeat the might Void Lion. But yes, he was injured.

It was in this fight, that he broke through to the rank of Beast God from Lv.99 to Lv.100.

He, for some reason, couldn't come to believe humans. Perhaps, he could see what was there in their hearts – the schemes and future plans. He just vanished into nothingness, but for sure, he didn't die. Instead, he went to some other realm perhaps, to a totally different dimension.

He left behind just one of his fangs while giving divine blessings to all beasts without caring about the humans, who had already taken away his nine other friends.
