Martial Soul Awakening

Today I'm finally 6 years old and can awaken my martial soul, meaning my cultivation journey can start for real. During these two years I got into the 3rd rank of mecha designing, so my points reached 150, and I will get another 25 soon enough.

My first step of the congenital will also be complete soon enough it will take about 2 more years, after that I have to condense my blood essence core so I won't be making any much progress with it anytime soon.

On the other hand my physical abilities are steadily growing, and I could probably easily break a spine of someone my age at this point, and sure enough like I "planned" it doesn't show on my figure. I also barely grown during these two years, but I don't really care about that.

Now I'm kind of in a bit of a trouble, I'm not scared If I don't have soul power but I worry if I will have full-innate one, I may have 4 martial souls but I also added a soul power compression effect to my bloodline so it might be smaller.

Normally that won't be much of a problem but I'm in the body sect, while I do have spirit eyes my first martial soul is Ice brush, and I'm not exactly keen on showing them all of my martial souls. So if I don't have innate-full soul power I will have to only show them the Ice Brush, but if I do I can also show them my spirit eyes.

'I guess I should go get dressed for my martial soul awakening, looks are important after all'

After a short while I was already done, and left my room.

"Oh, someone is in a good mood today" Said my father.

"Well I am going to awaken my martial soul today" I answered. Honestly I can't help but be excited, I couldn't wait already for this moment when I was reincarnated. Then I had to also wait 6 years for that to even be possible.

"Indeed, while we can do it for you, we should go to your teacher for that" said my mom while smiling.

To be honest our relationship isn't still exactly ideal, It did get a bit better though that's for sure.

"Yes, let's go fast" I try to hurry them up.

"Someone surely cannot wait" I hear one of them say, but I don't know which my attention is already focused outside.

It took some while but we finally got there, teacher was already waiting for me, ready to commence the ceremony. He looked at me and said

"Today is the day you will finally truly embark on the path of cultivation, you were able to successfully start cultivating the congenital method of our sect so I have high hopes for you"

"Now let us proceed" he finished saying. And as these words fell I quickly straightened myself and stiffened up a bit, mostly from nervousness.

He waved his hand and something appeared on the ground below me, soul power soul power burst out of me, it was quite small since I have basically no cultivation base but it did. My hand was reflexively raised and a brush started to materialize, and fell onto my hand afterwards.

During this moment I decided for luck to decide my fate and instinctively change my martial soul to spirit eyes. Everyone was quite surprised at that, but my teacher's expression quickly changed into a smile.

It was actually quite funny seeing him go from a neutral look to a disappointed one, then instantly to a surprised followed up by a look of elation.

"Good, good as expected of my disciple" as he was saying this a screen appeared.

Seeing that makes me quite relived, I still have full-innate soul power so that is a plus, and having a good compression of soul power is never a bad thing, it will only make my cultivation slower, but I have 2 high end martial souls and 2 decent ones so my absorption rate should be quite enormous to begin with. So the impact on it shouldn't be that big.

"Seeing as you have twin martial souls, we don't need to test your soul rank" My teacher started speaking.

"Now tell me when do we go to search for your soul ring" He continued.

"Um, Teacher actually" I try to say it as meekly as possible.

"I have decided on a spirit beast for my martial soul"

"Ho, and what exactly is that" He said with a slight interest.

"Well I would like a 10 thousand year old Ice silkworm for my spirit eyes"

"They are quite weak and with all the physical training I did with teacher, I'm sure I can handle it"

"I understand that is quite a good choice for a martial soul based around your eyes, good I will make sure to bring you a live one, a 10k year old ice silkworm is rare but it should still be possible to get" He answered.

"Well, you can go back home now the result of your awakening ceremony pleased me greatly"

After he said those words I quickly went back home to my room. I laid myself on the bed and opened up my system menu.

I opened up the <Shop> section and started scrolling through it. I'm looking for a way on how to use a sword, and I found it costs 175 points. With absolute certainty I buy it and get up from my bed.

I don't know how to use a sword, and while I will be mainly using my Ice Brush and Water Pen, later on in my cultivation I will certainly want to make Caliburn my main martial soul. For that I need to learn how to use it, and not just use it.

It's a cultivation world and for weapons they were always about grasping the essence of the weapon etc., and if my memory serves me right soul land had sword intent, sword soul, sword spirit. Without them I wouldn't be able to use my sword to its fullest potential.

From today onward I will be always busy, before I had it quite easy only physical training and mecha designing. Now to this I will also have to add cultivation, sword training, and when I get enough points mecha making as well.

Basically nearly no free time at all. Steeling my resolve I summon my fourth martial soul, Caliburn. It's a beautiful sword the handles is blue mixed with some golden patterns, the hand guard is golden as well. The blade is slim and in the middle it's golden with some writing on it, the whole blade gives of a majestic vibe.

I start following the movements I got shown by the system. At the beginning my movements are floppy I have to straighten myself and correct my stance each time I strike with my sword, on top of that my sword strikes are definitely unconfident, sloppy and slow.

Time passed In the blink of an eye, and while I still make a lot of mistakes I can at least do them now without stopping after each sword strike. After a few more sets of strikes I stopped, It's already dark outside I'm mentally exhausted. I constantly take deep breaths of air, and my whole body is full of sweat.

I haven't gotten a work out like that in a long time, mostly because it's something new but my hands and body are all sore, I have no strength to do anything so I throw myself onto the bed, close my eyes and try to digest the whole day.

[Finally the martial soul is awakened and btw I have not forgotten that the hero's bloodline is connected to Caliburn the getting of the soul ring just needs to be initiated. It's the last day of the weekend so I won't be uploading daily starting from tomorrow maybe once or twice. This time I started writing quite early so if I have the determination maybe there will be another chapter today. With each chapter I'm getting closer to that fated moment and I quite don't like it. Well that's pretty much it from me, I'm quite satisfied with this chapter and I hope even after my one bullshit play I have to do people will still follow this fanfic, I swear it will be the last time such a thing happens]
