Village Bellwood

After looking at the status bar, I decided to go inside the cemetery and try my luck to harvest more souls.

Thinking about it I walked step by step, but there was no luck in harvesting any other soul. So I felt a little depressed and then walked away from the cemetery.

Next, I decided to go back and learn more about the Auzilan continent and also get basic knowledge about this world. Thinking about it I walked towards the village.

After walking for half an hour I finally reached back to the village. Then I went back to the hut of the old man.

When the old man saw Nick coming back he walked toward him and then made gesture language to ask him," Where were you?".

I saw this and replied," I just roamed around the village".

Listening to my words made the old man stunned for a second and then he looked at me and said," you have learned to speak".

I listened to his words and it made my face a little black and I said to myself in my heart," what do you mean by I learned to speak! I already know to speak just you couldn't understand my words". But it couldn't be said to him as he saved my life so I couldn't only answer," yes old man I learned to speak".

Saying so I stopped and then asked," Old man, who are you? Where am I? Can you tell me more about this place as I have lost my memories?".

The old man looked at me with pity and then sighed and said," Alas my child. You have suffered a lot", saying so he stopped, and then he continued," you can call me village chief. The place where you are is known as Bellwood Village. It is located near Bellwood Forest located in the North of the village. If you travel and cross the Bellwood forest, you will reach the White River City".

After saying so he took a breath and then continued," if you travel 500miles south of the village you will reach the Valley of Abyss. Towards the east of the village, there is a small forest named trail forest.

Their many people who come to fight monsters and earn their living. Towards the west, there is a big river that no people have crossed".

Later he took a sip of water from the glass and then said," I have told you everything I know about. If you want to know more about this world then you can find Elves or Dwarf race to answer your question".

I looked at the old man and then said," thank you village chief for answering my question. Is there any place where I can live in the village?".

The village chief looked at me and then answered," well you can live in this hut, anyway it hasn't been used for a long time".

I then thanked the village chief and then he walked out of the hut.

I began to plan for the future after the village chief left the village.

First of all, I need was to find a job and earn money. Or else I would need to beg for food which would be a little embarrassing. The second would be to become stronger and also explore more about this world.

After making the decision I walked out of the hut and went toward the Alchemist shop. As this would be the first place where I could earn money from.

Along the way, I also chatted with several people and got to know about the currency of this world is divided into coins and mana stones.

The common people use coins which are divided into three types bronze, silver, and gold.

The people such as warriors, archers, mages, etc use mostly mana stones which help them recover energy or mana quickly after they absorb it.

100 bronze coins = 1 silver coins

10 silver coins = 1 gold coins

1,000 gold coins = 1 mana stone

After getting the idea of the currency, I couldn't help but wonder about this world. Then I removed the messy thoughts as I had already reached the Alchemy shop. The long ear girl was also sitting in the shop and there were several boys and girls from sixteen to seventeen years old. It looked like they were waiting for something.

So I walked towards the counter and looked at the Elf and asked," Hi my name is Nick. I need a job and I can refine a basic alchemy potion", saying so I stopped and waited for the elf to answer my question.

Soliana Sylfina looked at the young man whose eyes were excluding confidence and then she replied," well Nick if you want to get a job then you need to take an exam with those people standing there. After you pass the exam you may get the job".

I nodded my head and then said," okay miss. Can I ask who will take our exam?".

Soliana answered," my teacher is a two-star bronze alchemist", saying so her expression was proud.

While I couldn't help but say," wow three-tier alchemist teacher", saying so I had a blank expression on my face.

After I walked toward the group of people they were mostly discussing among themselves in low voice.

Alan who could be said as an alchemy genius in the Bellwood village looked at everyone arrogantly and said in a loud voice," yo a newcomer also says that he can refine potion", saying so he laughed with his group of people.

After I heard his words I just ignored them. It made Alan angry and then he couldn't help but say," wearing a common robe can also make you say you can refine potion so confidently ", saying so he looked at me up and down.
