Jamie didn't know that Fred had already asked Debby, his sister, to fetch Elizabeth from school and bring her to her and Garry's house. He waited for his daughter anxiously and shook his head.
"Something's wrong! Terribly wrong!"
"What's wrong?" Cecily asked.
"Elizabeth should have been home by a half hour ago." Jamie closed his eyes and threw himself onto a couch. "I can't think of anything. But I still can't believe Selina is behind these."
Cecily stared at Jamie and sighed. Love could blind people. "Jamie, sorry for my words about your mate. But I gathered info about her and found some unpleasant things."
Jamie lifted his head and glanced at Cecily. "What do you mean? Why did you gather info about Selina?"
Cecily looked elsewhere. "Let's say I want to know some delicate info about someone else who was related to your mate."
