Tenrou Island

The next day Jack wakes up in his bed with Panther Lily in his small form by his side with Levy and the group.

"Hm, it seems I'm quite popular," says Jack when he sees them around his bed.

"Well, it seems they didn't want to leave until finding out you were alright," says Makarov, who enters the room with Porlyusica.

"You have exhausted yourself it seems," says Porlyusica seriously.

"That must have been the Daedra Army that I summoned in Edolas. It cost me quite the mana to call upon them. Even more when magic isn't in the air," says Jack as he lies back down.

"You should rest for now. Don't take any contracts that make you use magic for a week," says Porlyusica as she leaves.

"She was worried when she saw the city disappear in the hole. When it returned she ran here to find out what happened," says Makarov.

"Well, it seems we will have to postpone the examination," says Jack.

"An exam can be taken anytime. Now then I will leave you rest," says Makarov as he leaves.

Jack then feels someone standing on his chest and sees Panther Lily on him and says, "You know I'm recuperating."

"Just wanting to make sure my second partner doesn't die or disappear like my first," says Panther Lily who was worried after seeing Jack suddenly fall asleep without warning after showing that much strength.

"It's normal for humans to sleep once we run out of energy," says Jack as he takes a closer look at Panther Lily and asks, "Where are your armor and sword?"

"Some man with blond hair gave me this," says Panther Lily showing Jack a ring before continuing, "It can store my things."

"Right," says Jack knowing that it must have been his teacher.

"You not happy that I have that much luck," says Panther Lily.

"I wouldn't call it luck if I know that blond man. He is my teacher after all," says Jack as he shows Panther Lily his ring.

"But now you can store all the weapon I'm going to build for you as well as armors. You will become quite a powerhouse to not mess with after that," says Jack just visualizing Panther Lily with an armor made out of Proto-Adamantium.

"Now you are scaring me," says Panther Lily worried from seeing Jack's stare.

"Don't worry. I will only need your measures and you will be free to go," says Jack as Panther Lily jumps down from Jack and hide for now.

The others slowly wake up after hearing Jack and Panther Lily talking to each other.

"You are finally awake," says Gray relieved like the rest.

"Yes, but I will be out for the next week. So I won't accompany you all on your contracts," says Jack as he lies down again.

"Wait does that mean we won't be able to fight until next week," says Natsu sad that he won't be able to fight against Jack.

'That knucklehead only thinks about fighting. He should concentrate on women instead,' thinks Jack after hearing Natsu say that.

They spend some time before leaving him. Jack then begins to work when Alfred appears and says, "You shouldn't work on that device for now."

"Why?" asks Jack when he gets pulled back to the bed.

"Sometimes you need to rest even gods need rest and you are no exception," says Alfred as he sits on a chair that was in the room.

"How is my family?" asks Jack worried about them.

"They were fine the last time I checked," says Alfred making Jack feel relieved that nothing happened to them while he was away.

"Good to know. Thanks for giving Pan a ring," says Jack as he couldn't move from his bed.

"Well you won't be always by his side and he would need to store the weapons and armors you are going to make for him," says Alfred as he looks at Jack and says, "I just have a little warning for you."

"That is?" asks Jack curious.

"Shura is testing you so don't just go around and do what he tells you to do. That's all I can tell you," says Alfred as he looks at his pocket watch and says, "Time to go or Shura might find out I gave you a tip."

Alfred then disappears leaving Jack alone in the room being chained to the bed by invisible chains.

Two months pass, Jack made the device for Lisanna so she could always visit her friends in Edolas. Then he made a barrier making Extalia secure so only Exceeds and those allowed by Shagotte.

After that, he began to work again on armors for Panther Lily or at least making some schematics that he gives to Panther Lily to look over and tell him what he wants to get changed and what still could be improved in his mind.

"Tomorrow we will move towards Tenrou Island. I will announce the people that will be coming with me to see who is worthy to become an S-Class Mage," says Makarov before announcing the Mages that will go to Tenrou Island with him.

The S-Class Mages were already on their way to Tenrou Island to prepare everything. Jack feels something wrong from the Island and says, "I have a bad feeling coming from the island."

"Really? Do I have to worry about that?" asks Erza worried.

"Not really. I have most of the time this bad feeling and sometimes nothing happens," says Jack as he was feeling uneasy.

"That feeling you have must be because the first Guild Master is buried here," says Gildarts to the two.

"Good to know," says Jack. They prepare for the others to arrive when Jack walks around the island without aim.

"So are you a new member?" asks a girl that appears beside Jack surprising him as he goes into a battle position after making some space between him and the girl.

"And you are?" asks Jack shocked since he didn't even feel her aura.

"You can see me?" asks the girl feeling happy as she walks towards Jack and says, "I'm Mavis Vermillion. The first Guild Master of Fairy Tail."

"Now I know what Gildarts meant with why I had a bad feeling. Now, why are you still in this world if you are dead. Shouldn't you already returned to the Void?" asks Jack as he thought that Mavis was dead.

"I'm not really dead but imprisoned in Lacrima. Can you help me?" asks Mavis cutely.

"You are as cute as Wendy. Alright, where is your body?" asks Jack as he now follows Mavis until arriving there.

"So I just need to make the Lacrima disappear, right?" says Jack as he sees the giant Lacrima stone with Mavis's body in it.

"That's right," says Mavis worried that Jack wouldn't be able to do it.

"Good. Go inside your body I just have to destroy it without hurting your body. Nothing really complex," says Jack as he sees Mavis ghost enter the Lacrima.

He begins to work on it using his sheer strength to destroy it slowly until Mavis could break free herself. She was quite weak and Jack wants to use healing magic to recuperate her when he hears a stomach grumbling.

"Right you must be hungry," says Jack as he takes out some dry meat that he stored just in case an emergency happens while traveling.

"Thank you," says Mavis as she eats it when Jack feels a dark aura approaching.

He stands up and says, "Not good someone that isn't from the guild is coming."

"That feeling is familiar. It must be him," says Mavis confusing Jack.

"Who?" asks Jack.

"Zeref," says Mavis making Jack open his mouth.

"That can't be he came to me. I thought I would have to hunt him down but he came straight towards me," says Jack now really confused with the situation on hand.

"What do you mean?" asks Mavis as she finished her meal.

"I was sent here to get two people. One is that Zeref, the other is Acnologia. I didn't know where nor who they are but now one of them is coming right here," says Jack now excited to finally find one of the two.

"What are you going to do with him?" asks Mavis seeing Jack too excited about it.

"Kill him of course. I need to seal his soul away in this stone," says Jack as he takes one of the soul stones out.

"I can't let you do this," says Mavis as she stands in front of Jack stopping him.

"And why?" asks Jack confused that Mavis would do that.

"He isn't evil like everyone says. He helped me after all," says Mavis defending Zeref right now.

"Girl it would be best you get out of my way," says Jack as his aura manifested.

"Can't do that," says Mavis not moving an inch away.

Suddenly Alfred's words ring inside his head. He disperses his aura and sits down while saying, "Fine give me a reason why I shouldn't do it."

"He can't control his mage when he cares for someone. That's why he is always that cold to everyone," says Mavis making Jack think.

"You know what is making him lose control?" asks Jack seriously.

"A curse," says Mavis showing a sad face.

"A curse really?" asks Jack.

"Yes, a God cursed him the same with me," says Mavis as Jack then looks at her seriously and then begins to laugh stunning Mavis, "What's so funny about this?"

"Nothing just that a God cursed you. What did you do for that to happen," says Jack as his time appears in his hand and he turns page after page finding a page that was about lifting curses.

"What are you looking for?" asks Mavis.

"If it's a God of this World then he has no chance against me. Now let me look and find how to lift the curse on your and his body. What was the name of the God again?" says Jack as he looks through the pages.

"His name was Ankhseram. He cursed both of us," says Mavis not going into details.

"I will tell you a little secret," says Jack as he finds how to lift the curse and continues, "The Gods call me 'The Rebel' because my predecessor fought against them when he thought that they were wrong about something."

Jack puts his hand on Mavis's shoulder while saying, "Once I release the curse you will die from old age. Your body will begin to age drastically. Do you understand?"

"Yes, can you wait until Zeref arrives?" asks Mavis.

"Alright," says Jack as he could see how the surrounding was losing its life.

"How comes you are awake. Didn't you seal yourself so you wouldn't hurt anyone any longer," says a young man with black hair and eyes as well as his clothing.

"Alright, for being a Black Mage you really have many Black things on you. Are you an emo or something like that?" says Jack as he sees Zeref for the first time.

"We can rest now Zeref," says Mavis as she walks over to Zeref.

"We can never rest. That's why I was protecting you the whole time," says Zeref as he looks at Jack.

"What did you tell her. No one can break this curse," says Zeref to Jack.

"You want to see if it really is impossible. I can show you," says Jack as he drops the illusion and his aura comes completely out making feel Zeref uncomfortable.

"You what are you?" asks Zeref as he looks at Jack.

"I'm just a rebel. Now how about I release you of your curse and send you to the void," says Jack as he appears behind Zeref and Mavis.

"Can we begin. I need to explain to the old man that you died after I lifted your curse," says Jack as he puts his hands on both's shoulders and they began to age until turning to dust.

"No one can outrun death," says a voice that appears behind Jack.

"You aren't someone I know. So who are you?" asks Jack as he turns around and sees a man in black hiding his face behind a skull.

"Rebel you shouldn't have interfered in this matter. They were cursed to see all things they love die," says the man as everything around the man lost its life energy.

"Right, Ank-something. The one who cursed the two," says Jack as his shotguns appear in his hand while the Monkey King armor appears on his body.

Clouds were gathering around Tenrou Island. Something that normally never happens and lightning begins to fall around them.

"Mate you punished those two because of what?" asks Jack as he was ready to fight.

"Because they defied the law of death by bringing one person back from the dead and the other because she safe a person that should have died with magic," says Ankhseram as a scythe appears in his hands and goes into position too.
