Eve:
I have worn a thin top shirt with half sleeves and blue jeans pant that I bought two years ago from Goodwill. Unfortunately, all of my oldest jackets have gotten smaller. I haven't gained a tiny bit of weight. Though, my height was something to be proud of. I was four inches taller than last year. As if now, my height was approximately five feet and eight inches.
I glanced at the cloudy sky, getting inside my 2005 Honda Accord.
"Why does winter has to be so gloomy and snow? I loved snow but I'd hate cloudy sky." I told no one in particular.
My apartment was located near the Lakeside. As my luck would have it, rent was cheaper, and the view was spectacular. You would love waking up in the morning and watching the sun and the beautiful sunrise in the distance from the balcony where I would start my day drinking a cup of coffee.
I worked in a different city from where I lived. Though, distances from downtown to my home was very unfortunate. Thirty minutes ride at a speed of 65 MPH made it even worse.
However, I couldn't afford to pay rent in the metropolitan area. Besides, my mom hospitals and therapist were nearby from where I lived, and shopping center was an only mile away from my home. So, everything was convenient around here.
This place was also one of the safest places to live. Honestly, I did think I made a better choice by living nearby because even my car gets mechanical issues, I could still use my neighbors helps to take my mom to hospital or therapist and shopping if needed because people around here were sure friendly.
Since it was going to be a long ride to downtown, where my tired full day would start and end at midnight. I turned on my favorite radio station, listening to early news and music in-between, singing along as morning traffic was giving me a headache.
"I am going to get in so much trouble today," I muttered.
I wanted to call my manager and let her know that I might be late to work. I still have forty-four minutes until my work would start at the cafe house and I just needed to take the next exit towards downtown. But it didn't look like these cars would be moving anytime soon.
"I hope this traffic goes away before my work starts or else I would get into so much trouble," I muttered to myself. Besides, trouble has always come to me knocking my door like I was an easy access to everything, pain, suffering, loneliness. So, I didn't really mind getting in trouble, but this was surely giving me a splitting headache.
There was an accident near the freeway exit towards city hall. It was obvious that they have blocked every lane as they have no car passes through.
From a little distance, I was able to see what must be going on in the accident. Metropolitan police had completely blocked all lanes and there were ambulance and firefighters with seven police cars and also few reporter's vans.
From my peripheral vision, I could see four police officers were escorting a man in the suit, whose face was hard to recognize since he was covering half of his face. I guess, he was trying to hide his face from the reporter, who were a few distances away. It seemed like reports did have their camera focus right at him as if he was some kind of well-known celebrity.
