Name

"Oh? A new child?" said a lady with a melodic and youthful voice.

A young woman, about 18 years old, walked out of the orphanage with a baby on her shoulder and her right hand resting on its back. She wore a plain grey cotton dress with ruffles and a soft apron with beautifully designed laces. Her face was delicate and it possessed a hint of sweet innocence. It was also evident from the curves of the dress that her body was very mature and plump.

Upon seeing the woman, the headquarter troops blushed and their face started turning rosy red. Seeing how the troops were blushing, a burly man came and took the responsibility to inform the lady about the new child that will be admitted to her orphanage. As a precaution, the headquarters decided to place the child in the orphanage of the town where he was found to make it easier for his parents to reach him. Lady Liliana's orphanage was the best option as it was a family business and had a small number of children.

The burly man carried the baby gently with his large hands as he carefully placed him in a wicker baby carriage. He then pushed the carriage into the large yard of the orphanage.

The baby was almost always asleep and it only woke up when its time to eat. However, sensing the change in setting, the baby opened its sleepy eyes and stared at the light blue sky filled with rolling clouds. It then puffed his cheeks and waved his little arms in the air.

"This baby is quite unique. Apart from it being found in an abandoned building, there are no DNA records of his parents. Additionally, he's very silent and has never cried before. So I hope Lady Liliana won't have too much trouble with this baby." said the burly man.

"It's no problem. I'll always welcome any children who are in need of a home." said Liliana with a cute and determined expression.

Liliana was then asked to sign the documents provided by headquarters.

As soon as Liliana finish signing numerous documents recognizing herself as the baby's caregiver and contracts authorizing access to the baby's personal information, the headquarters personnel began to take their leave.

As it was time to leave, Lady Liliana waved her left hand frantically as a gesture of departure with a joyful smile.

Many troops decided to take a last-minute peek at the young woman's gorgeous body but were smacked awake by the burly man.

Liliana couldn't hold her excitement because her orphanage had received a newly adopted child. In addition to that, the orphanage that her grandmother had built was finally going to be funded. Her grandmother's orphanage was a family business, created to house orphans whose parents perished in expeditions.

Since their orphanage was a family business, they had little to work with and no sane person would decide to fund an orphanage. With their declining orphanage, fewer children were sent to their orphanage.

Happier than ever, Liliana joyfully hummed a beautiful melody while pushing a carriage with one hand and carrying a baby in the other.

Seeing her granddaughter humming happily, an elderly woman with a wrinkled face and hunched back smiled warmly.

"Liliana, tell grandma what happened." said an elder woman sitting on the steps of the medium-sized boarding house.

"Grandma! You wouldn't believe what just happened." said Liliana with a wide smile.

"It was the people from the central city. They discovered a baby nearby and decided to let us be the caregivers. However, since we are just a family business, they decided to fund our orphanage." Liliana danced happily as she carried the two babies into the boarding house.

"What is the baby's name?"

"Eh... hmm... I don't remember the report saying anything about his name." Liliana tried racking her brain over the matter but could remember anything about a name.

"Well, I'll think of a name later... Wah! Grandma! What are you doing here?! Where are Lily and Oliver?" said Liliana with a concerned motherly face.

"Ho ho ho, they're already asleep. Today's calm and peaceful weather must have made them sleepy. Speaking of calm weather, it reminds me of when I was a little girl. When I was around your age, I slept in my parent's field whenever the weather was calm and sunny..." The elderly woman continued to ramble on about her youthful days.

Liliana gave a sweet sigh and carried the two babies into the boarding house. She walked upstairs and placed both the sleeping babies in a single large wooden cradle. However, only one baby was asleep while the other was merely pretending by closing his eyes.

Once Liliana walked out of the room, the baby's eyes slowly opened with curiosity. He used his little hands to push himself up and looked around the room with astonishment. The room was completely different from the dark and eerie hall that he woke up from. It had a very comfy and homely design: the walls were painted subtle blue and the floors were made of hardwood covered by a smooth wax.

Unable to comprehend the change to his surroundings, the baby felt dizzy and tumbled back onto the soft cradle mattress. He stared at the subtle blue ceiling and slowly gave in to his drowsiness.

A sudden pain coming from both his cheeks woke the baby up. His eyes caught sight of a little girl around 8 years old with long curly brown hair squeezing his soft chubby cheeks.

"Awwe, he is so cute!" exclaimed Lily.

The baby glared at the girl and remained silent as she continued to pinch his cheeks.

"Lily stop it. You're hurting the baby and Lady Liliana is gonna get mad." said a boy around the same age as the girl with a worried and serious face.

"But Oliver, he doesn't seem to mind."

"Then lets see if it hurts if I try it on you." said Oliver pinching Lily's cheeks.

"Ow! fine."

Immediately realizing the situation, Lily release her hands and softly patted the baby's cheeks to comfort him.

"Dinner is ready." a beautiful girl with a bob-cut hairstyle poked her head into the room.

"Lucy you're back from training!" said Oliver with a hint of shyness.

"Yep! I just came back today because I heard that a new child was sent to Liliana's orphanage. With an extra child, I believe it will be too hard for Lady Liliana to handle." said Lucy with excitement.

"Why didn't you come back this weekend? Lady Liliana was so worried." asked Lily with curiosity.

"Eh. Let's just say that I caught my instructor's eye and she made me do extra training on the weekend. Hehe." said Lucy with a shameful tone.

"An-anyways, it's time for dinner." Lucy quickly changed the topic and hurried down the stairs.

Lily and Oliver both carried the two babies carefully downstairs for dinner.

After dinner, Liliana brought both the babies into the yard to get some fresh air. There was silence during the night, only a soft autumn breeze whispering through the trees. Liliana placed both babies on her lap while closing her dazzling eyes and enjoying the breeze that blew on her face.

Liliana looked down and saw one of the babies lying asleep hugging her lap and the other staring into the vast starry sky.

"Lucy, bring Emily back. After all that crawling in the morning, she must have been tired." said Liliana.

The other baby watched the glittering azure sky with great interest. His face was tilted upward and his body was turning at rapid speeds as he observed the starry sky. There were occasional small flashes in the sky and many trails similar to that of a motor shower. [However, none of these trails belong to any meteors, they were from spacecraft that were most likely leaving or heading toward the rich agricultural planet of this solar system: planet Argo.]

The starry sky or rather the celestial space gave the baby a great sense of comfort and familiarity. It felt like he had once been there before, but his memory was extremely hazely and can't seem to remember anything.

Seeing the baby staring at the starry sky, Liliana smiled gently and too glanced at the sky.

"Seems like you too like to watch the stars." said Liliana mistaking the baby to be gazing at the bright stars.

The baby unable to understand what she said, remained silent and continued to be mesmerized by the vast universe.

"Thats it!" said Liliana like she had a sudden epiphany.

Liliana held the baby high in the air with her slender arms and smiled warmly.

"You'll be named 'Sirius'. The brightest star in the night sky!"
