Hitman-3

"Isn't it a beautiful day to be alive?"

"Stop talking to me."

This must be a dream. No, this must be a nightmare!

She was Winter Schnee! The granddaughter of Nicholas Schnee, one of the youngest Atlas Specialists, practically the right hand of general Ironwood himself!

And she had been abandoned!

…ok, maybe she was somewhat exaggerating the situation. It wasn't like they had left her to die in a ditch or anything, no matter how better death looked compared to her current situation in her mind.

Adrian Radcliffe, an infamous criminal who had killed many people and had more than once threatened the stability of the nations. When she had first seen him that night with the Ace Ops, she didn't even have to think before joining the fight with the intent to take him down and bring him to justice.

She had thought that it would have been easy, Radcliffe was a hitman and she was an Atlas Specialist; not to mention she had the best team in all of Atlas with her. Their combat ability should have far outstripped his, but instead the man had made a fool out of all of them.

Harriet's lightning speed attacks? He had outmaneuvered them and hit her back faster than she could comprehend.

Vine's aura limbs? They learned that they could actually be cut and such an action would knock Vine out.

Elm's strength? It was overpowered with a club made of steel.

Clover's semblance? Turns out luck can carry one only so far as the hitman kicked him away.

Marrow's semblance? Turns out Radcliffe could create and shoot swords from air without moving!

And her, Winter Schnee? She wasn't sure how exactly he even managed to defeat her. It had been just far too fast.

As if all of these acts weren't insulting enough, turns out the hitman was drunk! And then he actually knocked himself out when he slipped! Whatever he had drunk had literally been more dangerous to him than the best huntsman Atlas had to offer working together!

The sheer humiliation, last Winter heard; Marrow and Harriet were still refusing to get out of their rooms. Though in Marrow's case, she had a suspicion that he was feigning trauma in order to away from the work.

"Come on, you are supposed to be my 'minder'. How can you properly do that without being able to even speak to me." Radcliffe said with a sad tone that did not match the shit eating grin on his face at all. Winter could feel the urge to just strangle the hitman raising higher and higher as she squeezed her arm in order to distract herself.

"I am merely required to make sure you do not place the students, the faculty or any civilians around you in danger. There is no need to have a conversation." She finally gritted out, hoping that he would drop it.

"Nah, I think we will have many super nice conversations. Such is the way of starting long lasting friendships after all." Must. Not. Kill.

"Oh I know, why don't we talk about family? Like that super hot milf who was somehow dumb enough to marry a scumbag like Jacques."

"That's it!" Her self control finally snapped and she leaped at Radcliffe with her swords drawn.

"Do I even want to know what happened?" Ozpin asked before taking a sip from his mug of coffee as he looked at a very amused Adrian Radcliffe with a few scratches on his face and a very angry Winter Schnee who had a very big bump on her head.

"What can I say, our dear Atlas Specialist minder of mine just can't keep her hands off of me." The infamous hitman said with a laugh and the headmaster of Beacon Academy could see the young miss Schnee's hands clenching and unclenching. It really looked like she wanted to get her hands on Adrian, specifically on his throat.

"Please do not aggravate young miss Schnee any further Adrian. I do not want to explain to James why one of his best subordinates had a psychotic break in a school." Ozpin shook his head.

"I'll try but I should warn you that making women hot and bothered is a passive effect of my presence. It's not something I do consciously."

"I believe you had two friends who were supposed to join us in this school year." Ozpin blatantly changed the subject, young Winter deserved a break. And a chance to calm down before she started a fight in Beacon.

He didn't want to pay for damages before the semester even began! It normally took at least a week before they needed to do that!

"Hmm, oh yes. I guess it's about time she deigned to reveal herself." Adrian said with a glare towards Ozpin. No, not towards him but to his left, where a glitter of pink and white lights came to life with a sound of shattering glass; revealing a rather short girl with hair that reached to her mid back and was split in middle with pink and brown colors. The same colors her eyes were.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you; Neo Politan!" Adrian said with a smile as he gestured to the girl who pulled a parasol from... somewhere and then gave them a theatrical bow.

"Before either of you ask, she doesn't really talk. But no worries as I will talk twice as much so that you people won't have to fear silences!" Adrian said with a finger pointing towards the sky and Neo appeared beside him and clapped.

...maybe he shouldn't have allowed for Adrian to invite his friends.

"Nice to meet you, miss Politan. And where is your other... friend." Ozpin asked politely, unlike Winter who was too busy glaring towards Neo; likely for the unforgivable crime of being Adrian's friend.

"Oh, he's just about to come. No worries." Adrian waved away but Ozpin had a bad feeling about it. Adrian had the face of a guy who knew something they didn't know, Ozpin would recognize such a look anywhere.

He tended to look like that whenever he spoke to someone.

But before he could ponder about the possible indications of such a look, the air around them felt... different. Kind of like the feeling of killing intent, the inherent malice of all creatures directed towards the enemy; but also... different. Like it was less of an intent to kill but the reality that the one coming was dangerous.

A fact proven as Ozpin finally saw him and for the first time in years, he was quite worried for his life against someone who wasn't Salem.

"Ozpin." The giant of a man grunted and the headmaster of Beacon offered an uneasy smile.

"Hello... Hazel."
