Chapter 62
“I trust you,” Chris said, then slid his finger down James’s tie.
James lifted Chris’s chin. “Can tonight just be about us? I think we could both use some time away from this case.”
Chris grinned. “That sounds wonderful.”
He kissed James, the gentle kiss slow and bonding as Chris slid his hand across James’s chest.
When Chris broke from the kiss, he put his hand on James’s face and stared into his eyes. “I don’t want to lose you, either.”
James rubbed his thumb across Chris’s cheek and smiled, then kissed Chris.
Chris grabbed James’s tie and led him to the bedroom. He undid the knot and let the tie hang while he unbuttoned James’s shirt and pulled it off, followed by the white undershirt.
Chris moved James to the bed and laid over him as he kissed James’s chest and danced his fingers low across James’s left side to tickle him and smiled when James arched his body away from his touch.
