He drove past the grand white gazebo in the center, then took the main road deeper into the cemetery. “I hope you guys are ready for this. Everything recording okay?”
In his ear, Dylan said, “Audio and video are going and we’re in position.”
Ron said quietly, “Nolan’s smart. Picked a place where he could see if you weren’t alone.”
“Just be careful,” Dylan said.
Ahead of Chris, a black Cadillac Escalade was parked in front of a white mausoleum with four columns along the front. He let out a deep breath and said, “Here it goes.”
He turned onto the one-lane road that led him to where Nolan waited and then parked behind the Escalade. Bart Nolan stepped out of his vehicle, tugging at the right sleeve of his dress shirt before lowering his sunglasses to look over the rim.
Chris bowed his head. “This is going to suck.”
“Just don’t touch him,” Ron said. “You don’t know where he’s been.”
