Fu Bao leapt into her grandmother's arms, feeling Old Lady Li holding her tightly as if she wanted to embed her in her bones. Her eyes welled up with tears, and she choked out, "Grandma..."
"Nannan!" Old Lady Li's voice trembled with excitement. "You're back! Am I dreaming?"
Mr. Li and the four boys rushed over immediately, disbelief written all over their faces. They wiped away their tears, trying to see more clearly, then reached out to squeeze Fu Bao's cheeks, making sure she was real.
She had returned!
"Fubao! Uuuu... Where did you go? Big brother was so worried!" Shen Zhishu cried, his eyes swollen and his voice hoarse. As the eldest, he felt responsible for Fubao's safety, and her disappearance weighed heavily on him.
"I thought you'd never come back, Fubao!" Shen Zhile's tears continued to flow as he spoke.
Though relieved by Fu Bao's return, their hearts were still heavy with shock and fear, not yet fully comprehending that she was back.
