Chapter 2: Outside the castle walls

3rd Person's POV

After that he reads the notice he already falls asleep.

Morning~

"Uwaah~" Aki stretch his hand and legs before he gets up from the bed.

He walked to the bathroom to clean himself then walked to the closet and he takes off his pajama, then he wear a cream colored pants pair with a white shirt. Shortly after that, there was a knock on the door.

Knock knock~

"Matsuo-sama the breakfast is ready, please follow me to the dinning hall" said by a girl in the other side of the door.

"Yes! I'm coming!" Aki said, he open the door then followed the maid to the dinning hall.

Dinning hall~

Aki found an empty seat near Fujiwara Shina so he sit there, still looking down, not even looking at his classmates.

Then after a minute, the food was delivered by the maids and butlers. The students started to eat, some students are talking while eating, while some are just eating quietly like Aki.

Then Nagisaki Hiro started walking from his seat to Aki's seat, and he hooked his arm around Aki's shoulder. Aki was startled because of Nagisaki Hiro's arm.

"Hey! baby sitter!" Nagisaki said to Aki.

"He-hey Nagisaki-san"

"Good luck at raising babies out there! baby sitter~ hahaha!!!" Nagisaki deepened the word baby sitter to mock Aki, it's obvious but his other classmates just turned a blind eye to it.

"Thanks, Nagisaki-san." Aki said at Nagisaki with a smile then he lowered his head again and continued eating his food.

After Aki finished his food he was called to the throne room by the king.

Throne Room~

Aki saw the King and Duke Fillia in the throne room. He walked until he reached 7 meters away from the throne.

"Matsuo-sama your luggage are already in the carriage, you will now depart from here to the south of Liryo kingdom. It will take a week before you get to the orphanage there. Here's your money, spend them well." Duke Fillia said, then he handed a pouch that contains 100 small gold coins to Aki.

"The monetary system in this world is;

1 jils = 1 small copper coin

10 small copper coin = 1 medium copper coin

10 medium copper coin = 1 large copper coin

10 large copper coin = 1 small silver coin

10 small silver coin = 1 medium silver coin

10 medium silver coin = 1 large silver coin

10 large silver coin = 1 small gold coin

10 small gold coin = 1 medium gold coin

10 medium gold coin = 1 large gold coin

10 large gold coin = 1 platinum coin " Duke Fillia explained to Matsuo.

"Ohh, thank you so much for the money." Aki bowed and thanked the King and Duke Fillia.

"Now it's time for your departure, may you live well Matsuo-sama." the King said then smiled at Aki.

Aki followed the butler to his carriage. The carriage is drawn by a horse and a coach, it looks like a carriage of a noble but it was just painted in plain brown.

He looked at his back but he didn't see any of his classmates bidding him goodbyes. Once he entered the carriage and sat at the seats in there, the carriage starts to move.

He looks at the pouch then he activate his skill [Appraisal]

And now he knew how to use his skill [Appraisal], he used it all to any things that he saw. As he exits the castle walls, he still continued using his skill, until there's another notice appeared.

He saw the people walking, children running and many more. He saw their clothing and he now knew what era in this world is; 'It seems like I'm in the medieval era' he thought.

He stared at the scene in the window, then he saw a public library so he looked at the middle-age man coach then he ask to make a stop in the library.

"Is it ok if we delay my trip just for 1 day?" Aki asked the coach.

"Yes Matsuo-sama, it is ok. There's an inn in the left, three buildings away from the library. I will book a room in the inn, then we will travel in the tomorrow morning." the coach said.

"Oh, thanks then, here's the money for the inn." Aki said to the coach and giving him 1 small gold coin.

"Oh no no no, Matsuo-sama, I already have the money for our lodgings. The king already gave me money for our lodgings, because he knew that it will be along journey and we need to make stops to rest at a nearby inn." the coach explained.

Aki was moved by the words of the coach and because of this he writes the name of the king as a good human indeed in his thoughts.

"Please, stop with the Matsuo-sama. Your older than me so you can just call me Aki. By the way coach-san, what is your name?" Aki said

"Oh, ok then, my name is Ken, Aki."

"You don't have any surnames?"

"Only the royals, nobles, and some special people have surnames, Aki."

"Oh, is that so? well I'll be on my way now, bye." Aki opens the door then waved goodbye at Mr. Ken.

Mr. Ken waved back then starts to drive to the inn.

In the Library~

Aki took some books from the history shelf and geography shelf then starts to read them.

Then suddenly a robotic voice came out of nowhere.

Aki's hands begins to flip through the pages of every book, his eyes starts to skim through every pages that being flip through.

Every books that he took from the shelfs are being rapidly flip through. After 10 minutes he already finish the 10 history books and 15 geography books which he took from the shelves.

Aki was amazed from the speed he reads, then he remembers that before he open the first book, there's a robotic like voice that activate my [Photographic Memory] skill.

Aki, like a human who was injected with chicken blood, runs through every shelf and reads all the books in it and this time he himself activated his skill [Photographic Memory] again.

After the 4 hours of reading he felt hungry so he walked to the inn where Ken said he will book a room for him.

In the inn~

"Welcome to the Philip's Inn! Do you want to eat or do you want to book a room?" a teenage girl with brown hair said.

"Uhmm... is there any costumer that named Mr. Ken here? I'm Aki and I'm with Mr. Ken, he said that he already book a room for us."

"Oh! so you're with Mr. Ken, my name is Sheila, your room is upstairs here's the key." she said then handed Aki the key with number 7 in it.

"Oh! Aki you're back!" Mr. Ken said while descending from the stairs.

Grooowl~

"Yes, I'm hungry..." Aki said while rubbing tummy in shame.

"Pfft~...you're right on time the lunch...are already cooked so let's go find a sit." Mr. Ken said while trying not to laugh.

They find a sit and then Mr. Ken ordered their foo, Mr. Ken ordered Sinigang na Baboy, Kare-Kare, Adobo and Sizzling Sisig with 2 big bowl of white rice.

"Here's your order!" Sheila said while holding the food tray.

Aki taste the Sizzling Sisig first then he said with an imaginary stars glowing in his eyes. "Hmm!! It's gwood!"

"Hahaha... glad that you like it." Sheila said with a smile then left.

"Here have a taste of this Sinigang too." Mr. Ken said pushing the bowl of Sinigang to him.

"Ok!"

Aki lifted his spoon then scoop some broth of the Sinigang, bringing the spoon into his mouth.

"Mmm~! It's sour...but it's delicious."

"Here this Kare-kare taste it too."

"Yuuuummmmm!!!!"

"How about this Adobo."

"Delicious!!!"

'Hmm... I remember that this dishes are from the Philippines in my world, I guess there are other kinds of food here that came from other countries in my world too, huh.' Aki thought to himself.

Then they continued eating, they still ordered again after finishing the first dishes they ordered.
