TWO HOURS LATER
The cold night was not doing Sabrina any favors, and she had been walking for more than an hour now with no suitable place in sight, just rundown houses and men leering at her.
She was cold, clammy, she doesn't feel comfortable in her skin, she smelled like blood and she just want to find a place to sleep.
Sabrina had started walking in the shadows to avoid getting noticed, but her white gown made it impossible. So far, she had not been harassed, and for that she was thankful.
"Hey, princess, are you lost?" a voice whispered against her ear in the dark alley before she felt a hand grab her hip from behind.
Repulsion surged through Sabrina, and her body recoiled at the claw-like hands grabbing her waist. She considered screaming but knew she would not find any help here.
"I have money. I can give you money. Please, just let me go," Sabrina begged, hoping he would not hurt her, she had already been through so much already.
"No, princess. I want this ravishing body. You can come with me, and I'll protect you against the scum of Las Vegas, whose blood are those?" the voice said, this time with her back against the wall and his reeking breath on her face.
Sabrina struggled to get away from her molester when suddenly a figure lifted the man off her.
Sabrina watched as his back was smashed against the wall, and her unknown savior sent a knee to the man's groin and a punch to his face.
He fell flat on the floor that Sabrina wondered if he was dead, not that it mattered to her if he was, he was a scum afterall.
"Thank you so much," Sabrina looked at her savior, and surprisingly, she was a woman, small and agile, even though Sabrina couldn't see her face well due to the darkness.
"You are welcome, sweetheart. I just can't stand a woman being bullied," the woman replied with an alluring accent that indicated she was definitely a foreigner.
"How do you do that?" Sabrina asked, looking at the woman admiringly.
"Lots of practice," the woman replied simply, wiping her hand with a kerchief. "Are you new here, ran away from home?" the woman asked.
Sabrina nodded in agreement, glad she didn't have to explain her plight, and that the woman did not question her on the smell of blood coming from her body.
"Then I know just how to help you. Come along," the woman said, and Sabrina's heart leaped with joy. She would finally be free.
FEW MOMENTS LATER
Sabrina looked around the noisy club, filled with cherry lights and sophisticated guest, she stayed closely behind the lady who had saved her, covering her face, thanking God for the oversized coat covering most of the blood stained white gown.
Despite that, Sabrina knows she sticks out like a sore thumb, walking across the club filled with people dressed for a night out, while she is dressed in a white see through gown drenched in blood but her savior seems not to notice the stares as she strolled confidently around the bartender's stand, heading straight to the staircase that leads to the upper level.
Sabrina was a little surprised that nobody stopped her from going up the stairs, but the bodyguard at the staircase simply stepped aside and allowed her access, same with the bodyguard they met at the entrance of the CEO's office on the top floor.
Sabrina looked around the top floor, the place is elegant and beautiful, it almost looks like a legal establishment.
Just then, the door swung open to reveal a man with ruggedly handsome features stood there with a blinding smile on his face.
And when he saw the person at his doorstep, the smile vanished from his face, and his face becomes totally blank of expression.
"Zainab," The man said in a voice filled with reverence while starring at Sabrina with a questioning look on his face.
"Damien, mind if I come in?" The woman who had saved Sabrina ask in a voice that sounds more like a command than request.
But the man stepped aside and ushered both Sabrina and the Zaynab into his office, Sabrina stood by the door staring around at the lush comfort of the office while Zaynab walked in as if she owns the place.
"Wait here for a while, I'll be back in a bit," Zaynab gestured to Sabrina while she followed the man into an inner office.
Sabrina just stood there, scared and hopeful, what if she had just fallen into the hand of another kidnapper, all this is too good to be true.
With all these fears in Sabrina heart, she was on the verge of opening the door and escaping out of the room when the door to the inner office swung open and the two occupants stepped out.
Sabrina was shocked at their appearance but reluctantly moved away from the door and the fact that neither of them act like they had seen her trying to go out puzzled Sabrina.
"You will be fine here, are you okay with working in a club?" Zaynab asked.
Sabrina could only nod stupidly in answer to the question, she was already too overwhelmed as it is.
"Good, Damien here will take care of you, do what he says and you might just survive Las Vegas, I hope you are as strong as you appear," Zaynab said as he saluted Damien one last time and headed for the door.
"Are...are you leaving?" Sabrina stammered, fear evident on her face at being left alone with this stranger, but the woman named Zaynab only smiled at her and headed out of the office.
"What is your name?" Her new boss asked, after Zaynab was gone, leaning against his desk like he had all the time in the world.
"Lily," Sabrina said, lying even before she could realize what she was doing.
The man stared at her, as if seeing through her and Sabrina had never felt more self conscious, with her face caked with blood, and her mated hair sticking to her face, her see through white gown resembling that of a haunted soul.
"Good, from now on, you will work here as a server, your responsibilities is to the table assigned to you," Damien was saying but the girl in question looks like she will drop dead at any moment.
"You will be escorted to your apartment now, we will discuss the details tomorrow, you need to rest," Damien said and the girl nodded her head in answer.
"Have a seat, here, use this to warm up, I'll go bring a person that will escort you to where you will sleep," Damien said, pointing her to the couch and offering her q cup of hot tea.
Sabrina sat on the edge of the couch and collected the tea with two hands, holding onto it tightly as the man stepped out of the room.
After he was gone, Sabrina downed the tea in one go, the burnt at her throat was a welcome reminder that she was still human.
She dropped the tea cup on the side table and tried so hard to hold on to her consciousness but before she knew, her head lolled to the side and she fell into an exhausted sleep.

Damien stepped back into his office, with one of his most trusted server in tow to escort the new girl to where she could stay for the night but Damien was surprised to find her curled up on the sofa fast asleep.
"You can get back to work," Damien said to the curious waiter peeping from behind him.
"Okay boss," The server said, turning on her heel and headed for the door, his workers knew better than to question him.
When the waiter was gone, Damien stared at the lady, curled up and sleeping on his couch, with blood and grime on her body.
Beneath those blood and grime, Damien knew she'd be a great beauty, yet he wondered how he had gotten himself entangled with Prince Jamal.
Since Las Vegas is a dangerous place, he hoped his protection will be enough for her , but for now, be can only do as he was instructed.
Hopefully, she will be able to survive in this shady part of Las Vegas, Damien thought to himself as he covered her up with his coat.
