Chapter 13: Sendoh vs Daiki.

The Second half of the match between Ryonan and Janshi was underway and Ryonan came out with a great run, they enter this half with a surging 20-0 run.

Janshi couldn't find any chance of stopping the offensive onslaught from Ryonan who is being lead by their superstar captain, Akira Sendoh.

Midway the Second half, Janshi's first year ace. Daiki Taiga goes on his own run, giving a 10 straight points by himself.

RYONAN: 90

JANSHI: 70

2nd Half 8:45

[SPECTATOR #3: That kid is good.]

[SPECTATOR #4: Yeah, he is attacking the Ryonan defenders like they were nothing.]

At the Ryonan possession, Sendoh shows the entire crowd that he was on a different level than Daiki.

Sendoh gets back the ball and he was defended by Daiki by coincidence because of the switch that the Janshi did. Sendoh dribbles the ball with his left hand and then he attacks the defense of Daiki.

[DAIKI:I got him!.]

Daiki thought to himself, however, Sendoh has a another plan, he spins to the right and then shoots a mid range jumper and made it.

RYONAN: 92

JANSHI: 70

2nd Half 8:17

[MAKI: That Sendoh, he is more composed and calm then before.]

Daiki on the other hand, he scores with a three pointer and then Sendoh scores on the next possession. Both players have exchanged scoring for the more than 4 minutes and Daiki was being shown that he is someone capable of scoring and leveling with the stars of the prefecture.

In one possession, Daiki gets the ball in the left corner. He was guarded by Koshino. Daiki dribble towards the right and then he dribbles between his left leg, after that he crosses Koshoni over. Koshino slides to the left, Daiki goes right.

[KOSHINO: Damn!.]

Daiki attacks the Ryonan's inside the paint, Daiki jumps and Wakamitsu also jumps to block his shot. Daiki and Wakamitsu collide in the air and Daiki gets fouled by Wakamitsu and scores by shooting a floater. Daiki makes the free throw.

2nd Half 3:42

After Daiki makes that play, Ryonan suddenly struggles to find a rhythm and Janshi took advantage by this and slowly but surely gets back in the game and Daiki was leading them offensively.

Sendoh notices that they were struggling in both offense and defense and so, for the first time in this game, Sendoh defends Daiki one on one.

[DAIKI: Finally, I'm getting tired of waiting for you, Sendoh.]

[SENDOH: It's Sendoh-Senpai.]

Sendoh smiles and Daiki drives to the left and Sendoh cuts him off, but Daiki pulls back and then attack the right.

Sendoh quickly cuts him off.

[DAIKI: Damn!.]

Daiki couldn't pass the defense of Sendoh and he pass it to Daigo who were defended by Uekusa, Daigo tried to blew pass Uekusa but the ball was stolen from him and Uekusa easily scores on the fast break.

After that Ryonan regain their momentum and completely held off Janshi and won the game, Ryonan moves on to the next round and Akira Sendoh scores 54 to help them.

Sendoh was being interviewed by reporters when Daiki walk past him, Sendoh notices him and thought to himself….

[SENDOH: Good thing I won't have to face him two more years.]

Sendoh knew that Daiki possessed the same talent as those who were called Ace and also predicted that Daiki was going to be much more harder to defend when he gains experience against such strong opponents.

Meanwhile, the basketball in Asia was slowly and rapidly growing and such, there are two players to look out in the Middle East of Asia.

First was a player name Hamed Kamrhani, a steady three pointer shooter and elite defender that can lockdown player. He was heavily recruited by the number 1 school in Iran, Frandrem High School. And they're commitment in recruiting him payed off hugely as they were on their cruise to a another regional championship.

[ALLAH: That kid will become the backbone of the U-18 National Team.]

Allah Jafar was the national team head coach for the under 18 and he stated in one interview that Hamed will become the face of the U-18 National Team.

These two players will become a great rival against the Japanese Under 18 National Team.

That's why, the committee of the Japanese Basketball Federation decided to create a 36 man roster for the upcoming Fiba Asia U-18 qualifiers tournament in Manila, Philippines which will be held on November up until December.

There two Shohoku players that have been named to the pool, it was of course Kaede Rukawa and the "King of Rebound" Hanamichi Sakuragi.
