Skyrim: Finally Awake

I made this Skyrim Fanfic because the quality of the others was subpar at best, if you thought the same, look no further. Rune ends up in Realife Skyrim and needs to survive in a familiar yet so different world where he wishes to unravel the mysteries of the world *potential spoilers 1.Starts in the famous wagon ride 2.no system, but still has access to some of it's functions. 3. Character progression, he will change throughout the story depending on his experiences. 4. Depth, I try to describe the surroundings as his new and vibrant world maybe different from vanilla Skyrim. 5. I may not necessarily explain everything about the lore, but will try to make some of the less obvious beginner friendly. 6. Somethings may be different from vanilla Skyrim as this is a "real" world and not a video game so many things may change to better suit the plausibility. (This also means I make more mistakes, so bear with me.) 7. I like lists. 8. I don't know the entire lore of the game, so I'll try not to delve into the deep lore too much for fear of making mistakes. 9. I will try to stick to a mage build, but no promises. (Hopefully it's not gonna be stealth archer again xD.) 10. I'm trying to make it as immersive as possible and so far I like it, if there's anything you find that I missed, please point it out. 11. No romance for now, it's too big of a pain to write, but, I may add some if I feel like going deeper in the mind of the character and figure out how to make a truly worth while story from it, after all, everyone wants love, but definitely no harem or partner hopping. loyalty rules. 12. Thanks for reading... Though I don't see why I would need to thank you, not like I'm gonna monatize it, so, your welcome for reading lol.

Chapter 2: Not gonna spoil it with the title

Staring down from the tower, I could feel the heat from the near melted stones behind me, I closed my eyes for a moment and breathed out before leaping down into the building below, aiming for a flame free spot.

With a "safety roll", which I learned when I was interested in parkour as a teen, I broke my fall and dashed to other end of the building on the ground floor.

I watched Hadvar save a child right before Alduin landed in the street blasting more fire everywhere.

After he flew away again I dashed to the next location and awaited beside a wall as Alduin Landed on it right above my head, unaware that I was under him.

After he roasted an imperial and flew away, I dashed through another burning building, receiving a few more scalds on my arms and legs.

Running barefoot through this terrain was terrible luckily it seems my feet had some calluses from a travelling lifestyle, saving me some suffering.

I ran past some archers in the streets loosing arrows into the sky and came up to a keep and came upon a decision I had to make.

"We're escaping Hadvar, you're not stopping us this time!" Ralof said to Hadvar, each of them had a compelling argument as to who should lead Skyrim, but I didn't care.

All I cared about was safety and security, in this case going with Hadvar may not necessarily mean he will let me go, although he does do so in the game and seems to have compassion unlike the Captain.

But Ralof has to fight against a fully armored imperial from the beginning, which in legendary difficulty was a challenge, not to mention in reality.

Eventually I ignored the political aspect and dashed inot the keep with Hadvar, I wasn't quite sure I could take on a trained and heavily armored Imperial soldier, and only had one chance at this life, so I wasn't going to risk it.

This decision may come to bite me later if the stormcloaks find out I had been killing their people with the imperials. Hopefully, they won't hear of this as there's still a few places I might need to go within their territory.

The room looked like a military barracks made of cold roughcut stones, with rows of beds placed within.

"Was that really a dragon?" Hadvar started while I quickly grabbed an iron sword and cut my bindings causing him to be on guard.

"We need to hurry." I said grabbing some armor from the chest and took the key before putting it on.

Taking a moment to catch my breath, I tried to access some features of the game menu, unfortunately, I couldn't summon any of the menus but instead had this strange feeling which was slowly growing stronger, as if I was getting accustomed to my power.

I took the sword and focused on that power as the ax vanished into a pocket dimension, I could make it appear again. I wasn't quite sure how this worked and now wasn't the time to look deeper into it.

Hadvar didn't notice anything as he was busy checking the room for stuff.

'It seems I still have my inventory, what else?' I thought as I focused on the spell/power menu, but instead I found memories of 3 spell models: Flames, Conjure Familiar, and healing.

Along with that I felt my passive 25% magic resistance and racial trait ability which was Dragonskin that allowed me to absorb 50% magika from incoming hosting spells for 60 seconds.

Along with that, I recalled the shout I did earlier, Al Du In, dragon call shout, it wasn't surprising I could use the shout, although a Dovahkin (dragonborn) like me usually learns shouts from word was and and has to absorb dragon souls, but that is simply the easy way out.

Thanks to my desperate situation I was able to truly feel the words and learn them like the Grey beards do through effort alone.

'I'm glad I learned Dovazulan during my geek days, maybe there'll be a way to learn all the words without actually going to the word walls and killing dragons.' Thinking about my unhealthy interest in the game, I recalled that I knew another shout, although I doubt I can use it now without a deeper understanding of what the dragonrend, Joor zah frul (Mortal finite temporary) (A. K. A. Emotional Damage Shout), shout's deeper meaning is at the moment and would likely need a dragon soul... Or human soul as they were the originators of this shout.

"Ready? Let's go." Hadvar said as we continued into a hallway where we saw a gate.

"There's some stormcloaks ahead, maybe we can reseaon with them." Hadvar said while opening the gate.

I knew from experience they would be hostile so I summoned my ethereal, wolf like familiar that was surprisingly larger than I remember from the game. It was the size of a real wolf, if not taller, reaching shoulder height.

The moment the Stormcloaks noticed us they charged at us, before one got knocked off it's feet by my familiar that lunged forward.

Hadvar had used his military swordsmanship to fight with the other Stormcloak successful while I rushed forward to aid my familiar by stabbing the Stormcloak in the chest repeatedly.

Suddenly a hand grabbed my arm causing me to flinch as I looked back and saw Hadvar stop me.

"He's dead, you can stop now." He said as I looked at the bloody mess, I dropped my sword and stood up, my senses caught up with me causing me to puke.

"You'll be alright, everyone's like that at first, but we don't have time, so get yourself together." Hadvar said while patting me on the shoulder.

"Just a moment." I said taking deep breaths feeling my mana recover relieving some of the nausea.

We opened the gate and went deeper down into the Keep underground where some rocks came crashing down blocking a long hallway giving us only one way forward, into the storeroom.

I once again summoned my familiar as it had already despawned as I wasn't feeding it any mana anymore from the distraction. That's one thing I learned, that if I keep feeding mana I could keep a summoned creature indefinitely as long as my mana holds up, it also uses less mana than to be constantly summoning.

Unfortunately, my mana pool was still too small to hold the summon for much longer. Luckily battles usually don't last that long.

Me and Hadvar peaked through the door and saw two Stormcloaks searching the store room and weren't looking in our direction which alowed us another surprise attack.

My familiar ran pounced again on a stormcloak, though this time he was unsuccessful at pulling him down and simply bit into the soldier's arm which was followed by a sword stabbing into the familiar causing it to despawn.

Hadvar had already stabbed his sword through the back of the other soldier causing the bloody blade to pierce out his chest along with crimson dripping out of the soldier's lips.

I had been right behind my familiar and stabbed at the Stormcloak, unfortunately he blocked with his sword and stumbled back, his left arm unable to be used.

"Imperial dogs!" The injured Stormcloak shouted as he dashed at Hadvar who parried his attack, nearly making a deadly counter.

Narrowly the soldier dodged and made his next move, their movements were very experienced so I didn't dare interfere with my skill level.

Instead I used the flame spell to assist allowing Hadvar to finish him off with a cut to the shins which caused the soldier to kneel before standing behind him and slitting his throat execution still.

I felt a similar feeling of nausea turn in my guts as I quickly grabbed a mana potion from the shelf and downed it and made a speedy recovery.

It was hard to tell if it was the gruesome scenes or the lack of mana that was causing my nausea, perhaps a lot of both.

After recovering I took all the potions in the store room and placed them in my inventory when Hadvar wasn't looking.

There's a Ralof route in the Auxiliary chapters, that was the original, but was replaced.
