Chapter 4 -[Harry's the GOAT!!]

Christmas had arrived, and with it the holidays, snow, and loneliness.

On Christmas morning she woke up alone, in a room full of green canopy beds perfectly arranged, as if no one had ever slept in them.

At the foot of the small Christmas tree in the room, there was nothing.

Not a letter, not a gift, nothing.

She sighed holding back tears, when she saw it.

An emerald green envelope, her favorite color. And also another rolled-up parchment attached to a small package.

She had gifts. Someone has remembered her somewhere.

[T/N, Oh no...]

She reached for the envelope and the package almost desperately, and opened the largest one first.

It was a book. A book of Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology.

Taking the note with happiness. She couldn't believe it.

We all deserve to know who we are, find yourself, and change things

" S.S.

Her brow furrowed.

Find yourself? Was she a Greek goddess now?

She shook her head and put the note lovingly on her bedside table.

Every Christmas, they seem to forget about her too.

Only once, when she received Ron's Weasley sweater because he didn't like it because it was dark red.

Oh, and another Christmas where someone anonymous sent her chocolate.

[T/N, ...I guess that's Dumbledore feeling guilty, still a piece of shit.]

For the rest of the years, she usually sat away watching their smiles, love, and gifts, wishing she was just like them.

What was wrong with her? She didn't understand it.

She opened the letter and almost fainted right there.

It was a piece of her favorite poem. Nobody knew that she read poetry.

The earth is silent because they do not know

their different names, nor their widespread language,

keep quiet because you work

receiving and being born,

when he dies he collects

like a hungry old woman,

everything rots in it,

until the shadow,

the lightning,

the hard skeletons,

the water, the ash,

everything joins the dew,

to the black drizzle

of the jungle.

Pablo Neruda

[T/N, I can not find this poem!]

Merry Christmas, little carrot.

R.J.L"

[T/N, Huh? That's not Dumbledore]

She smiled.

That R.J.L guy was the one who sent her chocolate a couple of Christmases ago and from whom she received a letter last year but her parents snatched it from her before she could read it.

She was grateful to R.J.L for encouraging her from anonymity.

And now, with S.S.

[T/N, Has to be Snape, sweet.]

But... Why did her imagination run wild to think that in times of war, she would be lost in the afterlife?

. . . . .

That morning Harry went down before Ron to breakfast.

It did not go unnoticed at breakfast that his sister was alone again, without the Weasley sweater that he had also received.

Taking a risk, he approached her.

She was like a powerful magnet, and he was a simple piece of metal.

" Hello, Nicolle " he greeted, sitting in front of her.

Luckily he hadn't messed up, there was no one there except Headmaster Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall.

Teachers who, despite talking to each other, are both attentive to the couple.

" My name is Skuld " she answered smiling.

The green-eyed man's cheeks turn a bright red.

" I'm sorry."

" Have you found Nicolas Flamel yet? " She asked interested. She was already researching several topics on her own, and that was among them.

" No, it seems that the books have been hidden, but his name sounds familiar to me," he said calmly, taking a piece of toast from the snake table.

She didn't know where that familiarity came from, but what she did know was that she was someone who was easy to talk to and would be there to listen to you.

And she loved listening to people. Trying to imagine the world as they see it.

[T/N, F*CK YOU! I'm not crying! You're crying!]

But her imagination saw Harry with something very dark around him.

Death was on his heels.

And she hasn't figured that out yet.

" I would love to help you, but it's better alone, Ronni... " she stopped. " Ron doesn't want me to be around."

Harry felt sorry for her.

But he saw that they had something in common, their families didn't love them.

He would prefer to have a favorite color, hobbies, or musical tastes in common.

That sounded horrible.

" Aren't you wearing your Weasley sweater? " He decided to ask the question. " It's comfortable and warm."

He regretted that as her eyes filled with tears.

" I don't have a Weasley sweater, they always forget to make me one "Her lower lip trembled a little and the lion felt pain in his chest when he saw her so hurt. " How was your Christmas?"

He couldn't answer her.

He couldn't say that he was having the time of his life with the people he should be with, while Skuld was alone reading a mythology book watching the fun from afar.

He couldn't. He didn't want to.

" Oh, it was fun " he smiled uncomfortably. " How about eh... Your friends?"

He screwed up again resoundingly.

Didn't he know how to shut up for even a second?

He almost banged his head on the table when he saw her expression again.

" I have to go, I liked talking to you, Harry " She smiled slightly and ran away.

The boy sighed, insulting himself for being so stupid.

But then he smiles.

She seemed very pretty to him.

[T/N: HUH!?!? I thought it was going to be a DracoxSkuld romance, not a PotterxSkuld. Please don't have Harry hurt her so she goes to the dark side.
