Chapter 9: Worthiness
Siren and her grandmother urgently rushed into the house after hearing her father call out to them. Making their way into the living room, the two noticed three angels dawning their combat gear standing in the middle of the room waiting for them. Siren looked over to the couch and saw her mother nervously sitting by herself. As the rest of the family joined her, Siren felt her heart beating at a rapid pace. Were these armed men here for her? Was this about the concert? Or even the fight she had in the park? Would this be the day she would face the consequences of her recent actions?
“What is happening?” Lyndora whispered to Arina, who timidly shrugged her shoulders in response.
