Chapter 72: When the Music Pauses

As the royal ball was unfolding into a complete catastrophe, Roman witnessed all the action from behind his turntable. He felt an uneasiness within his immune system that came and went as it pleased. One minute, he was well aware of the situation at hand. The next, he was distracted by the icky sensation of drips of blood from his nose pouring from his chin down to his shirt. “What the f*ck is this?” he mumbled in pain while covering his face. The daredevil looked around and saw that he was not the only one in distress. Many others had already succumbed to their sudden illnesses and were laid out on the floor in an unconscious state. The ones left standing did their best to fight whatever was possessing their bodies, but it was no use.

“What is the meaning of this?” said a ticked off Gemma, who got snatched off the ground and tossed into a nearby snack table by her angelic assailant.
