Chapter 69: What an Angel Wants

Siren marched through the crowd as carefully as possible while trying to make her way to Gemma. Finding out why Aleena and Sharene decided to join Mad Moore was vital to solving this case, and the scream queen wasn’t going to allow any stone, or possible suspect, go unturned.

While continuing to lightly brush past a group of men in her way, her sonic hearing began to pick up on their private conversations.

‘Is that her?’

‘The Riot Girl?’

‘Riot Girl!?’

‘Maaaaaan she’s smoking.’

‘Riot Girl is over there. Come on!’

Suddenly, with Gemma only a few yards in reach, Siren found herself barricaded from the crystal crafter by a group of guests showing their adoration for her.

“Oh my God, Riot Girl? Is it really you,” one woman asked her.

“Uh…” Siren mumbled in confusion.

“The way you took out those Wretched was awesome. Were you scared at all?” a man asked with a huge smile on her face.

“Um…” she said while trying to keep her eyes on Gemma by looking beyond his shoulders.
