The streaks of his blood were draining down in all directions and several pairs of red eyes have woken up upon that. Following the smell of blood they were now heading in their direction who were busy satisfying their hostility, unaware of the surroundings.

Aurora's trick turned out to work as Eric had actually started feeling nauseous and dizzy when she continued for a good amount of time. It could also be the lack of oxygen and breathing now that his vision was starting to become blurry but there was no way he was going to let her go. His father needed her blood otherwise he would have chopped her into pieces and put her in a sack to make his work easy. He didn't attack or hurt her for the same reason but she might be mistaking his caution as weakness.

It was then that Aurora noticed something was off when she felt multiple presences around them. The sudden rising temperature of the water and the waves that were being produced due to the movement of the creatures gave them away. Aurora had to stop her spinning because she could clearly see many red dots at a little distance all around her.

When she finally stopped unintentionally Eric's head came to rest on her bare shoulder as he was unable to hold it up for a few moments. He wanted to stabilize his spinning head unaware of the death that was dangling upon their heads. Aurora on the other hand gulped, her eyes wide open as she saw the red dots moving closer. She had never been this deep in the sea before. She had definitely gone swimming along the other Sirens every now and then but they were never allowed past certain limits and depth. She had never even seen a sea monster before let alone encounter it all alone.

'Oh mother, what kind of trouble have you thrown your daughter into? If I was supposed to do all of this then you should have at least warned and prepared me beforehand, the least you could have done for me.' She thought, hot tears starting to blur the already smeared vision of hers. If only Kiara was here, she wouldn't have been so scared.

Death was on her right, left, up and down, there was no escape for her. Then she had an idea. 'Giving into these monsters will be better than going with this human.' She thought. They will just kill her and it will be over but he will torture her every day. He will kill her every day. What was better?

However, just like any other ordinary being now that death was standing eye to eye with her, she was hoping for a way out. 'Oh God, please help me.' She begged silently.

Eric's head had finally stopped sipping and for most of the part he had practically forced himself to come out of that dizzy state and think straight. Weirdly enough she had stilled like an iceberg now after going around probably hundred revolutions per minute.

However, his curiosity was killed before even arising because it didn't take him long to realize that they were surrounded by a bunch of sea monsters and it wasn't also a mystery why that had happened. The stinging burn in his wounds was speaking for itself. Ire over flooded his eyes as he made eye contact with her and finally set her free from his tight grasp. Now she couldn't run away anyways and he might not as well.

He turned around towards the monsters whose pointed teeth were now bare as they circled around them. Instinctively, he was hiding her behind him as his hand slid down to his thigh but that was when he realized the biggest blunder of his life.

He had left his dagger in the wheel…
