I am not a psychopath

--[Onver PoV]-

I gasped for breath, my heart pounding in my chest as I sprinted at full speed. Behind me, an endless army of skeletons gives chase, their skeletal forms hungering for my presence. The wind whips against me, leaving a trail of floating blood droplets devoured by the relentless horde.

But just as I think I cannot escape, another army emerges from the right side. With quick reflexes, I change my path, causing the new army to collide with the old, throwing them off balance and creating chaos in their ranks.

Adrenaline courses through my veins, heightening my survival instincts. I push myself to run faster, desperately seeking refuge from the undead. My feet carry me in an unknown direction as I dart through the landscape, fueled by a relentless determination.

Finally, I stumble upon caves, an empty sanctuary from the skeletal figures. They try to enter, but an invisible wall stands firm, frustrating their every attempt. Relentlessly, they crash their skulls against the barrier, but access eludes them.

In a sudden twist of fate, a skeleton lunges and clasps onto my feet, causing me to stumble towards the cave entrance.

The skeleton inside senses my presence and lunges towards me as well. Our bodies collide, resulting in an explosion of force that obliterates the skeletal form.

Through sheer luck, I pass through the entrance unimpeded, as if the invisible wall willingly granted me passage.

I roll onto the ground, momentarily safe within the cave. But my respite is short-lived as the thunderous sound of the endless army reverberates in the distance. Time seems to stretch infinitely as they draw nearer, their relentless pursuit intensifying the pounding of my heart. Gradually, they inch closer to the entrance of the cave.

Boom! Boom! The collisions echo through the air as they repeatedly fail to breach the invisible wall. Desperation fills their movements, but they remain trapped outside, their path thwarted by an unseen force.

Finally, I find relief as the surge of adrenaline subsides, leaving behind the exhaustion of my drained energy.

The effects of blood loss begin to surface, a testament to the intense struggle I've endured. How I managed to maintain my composure and defeat 2003 skeletons remains a mystery.

However, one thing is certain—I possess an unknown power, a force that aided me in staying conscious through it all. If only I had been aware of this ability sooner.

As my vision gradually darkens, and my

consciousness slips away, my thoughts persist amidst the encroaching darkness.

"I had killed some human beings." The realization sets in that I have ended the lives of fellow humans. But those fleeting moments of triumph are quickly replaced with doubt.

"No!! , I didn't kill anyone."

"I am not a psychopath! They were just moving skeletons!"

"Perhaps these humans were cursed and trapped in skeletal forms." a voice echoed in the back of my mind bringing a question into existence without any prior notice.

"No, they were not human." but I didn't falter I answer

"Maybe they lost their flesh and blood, yet retained the intelligence it echoed

"No, they were just undead," I answered the game of my question and my answer continued.

"Maybe someone transformed them, forcing them to attack and protect the island."

"Maybe they had families."

"So what if they were alive? So what?"

"What is their life worth?"

"N.O.T.H.I.N.G!! "

"They are nothing to me.!"

"No, I didn't kill anyone; they were just skeletons."

"Lifeless skeletons."

"Moving undead."

"Without any intelligence."

"They were merely walking dead, devoid of life."

With these conflicting thoughts swirling in my mind, I succumb to unconsciousness, enveloped by darkness.

My body slumps against the cave wall, cloth torn and soaked in blood. Countless wounds mar my flesh, bearing witness to the battle I fought. Yet, amidst the chaos, multiple purple marbles cling to my tattered garment.

An invisible aura radiates from my body, forming an imperceptible shield with a radius of 5 meters. The purple marbles begin to transform, releasing a cascade of multicoloured particles that intertwine with the surrounding matter. These strands of particles mend my cloth, gradually filling the holes and initiating the healing process for my wounds.

My battered body begins its recovery, as the wounds slowly start to close and heal.

-[Author's POV]-

In the vast ocean filled with an endless supply of water and an unstable environment, a tornado loomed ominously ahead of a ship shaped like a dolphin.

The ship cut through the water, resolutely advancing towards the storm. Thunderous sounds echoed, announcing the presence of a disastrous tempest stretching as far as the eye could see.

Countless storms and thunderclaps reverberated, displaying both fear and magnificence.

At the rear of the ship stood Alen, gazing out at the stormy sea. Since boarding the ship, he had remained rooted in place, his feet firmly planted, searching for something yet undeterred by the chaos surrounding him.

His expression remained unwavering, for he understood the significance of this storm. It served as a forewarning, reminding those who dared set foot on the island that danger lurked just beyond its shores.

This island is one of the forbidden and Abandoned legacy battlefields from 14 mysterious legacy battlefields.

This island had mysteriously materialized in the empty ocean four hundred years ago, as all the legacy battlegrounds do, but this island was different it carried with it a thousand-year-old prophecy.

"Those fortunate enough to pass its trials would be bestowed with great fortune."

When this island was revealed it was teeming with vibrant vegetation and abundant life, The island emerged into the world, fulfilling the prophecy's age-old promise.

At the heart of the island stood a castle that reached towards the sky, rumoured to conceal untold treasures and enigmatic artefacts. In the past, the island was filled with treasures, and its resources were dominated by ancient spells, bestowing wealth and fulfilling every desire upon those who sought it.

However, now, in the current era, this island represents a perilous journey, transforming overnight into an undead realm, with countless inhabitants turned into skeletal warriors.

As the decades passed, natural barriers formed around the island, serving as a desperate warning to those approaching, urging them not to cross its treacherous threshold.

Nobody knows why the inhabitants of this island turn into undead!

Alen and his party members had embarked on a daring quest to venture into the island's periphery. By traversing the storm, they demonstrated their defiance towards the ominous indications, bravely exploring the island in search of their fortune amidst the countless undead.

Alen gazed upon the storm with unwavering determination, his eyes reflecting his fearless resolve.

Meanwhile, in the control room, the ship's captain sat alone, surrounded by holographic screens and countless buttons. He manipulated the controls with precision as an opening in the wall revealed a holographic window displaying the raging storm outside.

Just then, Rossana, the priestess, entered the room, questioning the captain's decision to bring Martha along. "Why are you bringing her with us!?? "She expressed concern about the danger of taking her to the island, reminding him, "She has been in slumber for ten years and possesses the innocence of a child, despite her adult appearance."

"I suggested leaving Martha in the care of friends or family, or any relative who could provide a safer environment," Rossana continued.

The captain, turning his seat to face her, let out a sigh. "I don't trust them," he muttered, his expression reflecting deep-rooted reluctance.

Surprised, Rossana replied, "I never said anything about that. I simply meant we should not bring her with us."

Cutting her off, the captain abruptly declared, "That's enough. I don't wish to discuss it any further."

"I am sensing a bad omen, a very ominous feeling," Rossana persisted.

Ignoring her, he swiftly rotated his seat back to its original position and pressed a start button on the ship's control panel. Transparent barriers began to envelop the vessel, shielding all exposed parts. Addressing Rossana, the captain said firmly, "We've talked, Now, please let me focus on my work."

The ship surged forward, it entered the storm, determined to carve its path amidst the fury of the elements.
