22. Seed and Graduations

Hearing the question, Hoseki hesitate to answer. He had planned to stay in academy for quite some times when he first registered into.

But sometimes the plan didn't follow him. As he stayed in the academy, he felt that his style is more on practical side as theories really holding him back especially when he can't practice them.

But the fuinjutsu incident though him how important the fundamental knowledge is. As for other subjects like mathematics, geography, ninja tools used was not big problem for him. But the jutsus he learnt, worried him of his self control.

Hoseki confessed all his thoughts and worries to the headmaster. He told him, that he was not really sure if he should graduated. He asked the headmaster to ask the teachers about him. Especially this veteran fuinjutsu teachers.

As the headmaster heard about his concerns, he smile. He really happy that the boy in front him really a fine seedling. Hoseki is not the kind of hard headed for power or impatient boy.

The headmaster had received reports on this genius boy in front of him and worried about his personality. Hoseki records were filled with some dark and bright moments.

On bright side, his attitude towards learning and training was really good. He is also one of the best scored students even though he tried to be average one.

On the dark side, he had record on skipping his class and the incident he was sent hospital for his conceited on knowledge.

After that the headmaster also saw the report on his changes in attitude toward learning. Even thou the time was short and the change was really questionable.

But the moment Hoseki poured his concerns, the headmaster really impressed how an accident can really change a people. Before, He also asked the teachers who supervised him learning fuinjutsu.

The teachers also recommend Hoseki graduate as they no longer have problem with him doing so.

The teachers stated how Hoseki accept his wrong when he was told so. As his character towards learning was really on positive side. Even though sometimes he really went on under unconventional style of thinking, but he never upset when his idea was refuted. He accept it with after some deep thinking with opened minded attitude.

They stated the boy really have strong fundamental on fuinjutsu now. They have nothing more to teach him.

"Hoseki, I already asked the teachers before you came. Most of the teachers supports the idea for you to graduate. As for your concern, you can learn them on your way. When you are graduated you still will be assigned under guide of a leader whether on your mission or training."

"As for your fuinjutsu supervisors, they also approved you." The headmaster smile and pull out the answer for Hoseki.

After a moments of silence, Hoseki agreed to take on his graduation exam.

Sitting in his room, Hoseki opened the item he received.

Steel seed fragments (15/15)

[A complete amount fragments is detected]

[Do you wish to combine the seed fragments?]

"Yes."

[PROCESSING]

[Half completed seed is produce]

[Please fulfil the requirements to complete the seed]

*Requirements - place the incomplete seed into high concentration of steel energy for a week. Seed will absorb the energy to complete its requirements.

Seeing the requirement, Hoseki was having a headache. He didn't know what steel energy is. To find the place is also not an easy mission.

"Well, It seems like I have to cramp in library again huh." Hoseki decided to find his answer in the academy's library.

That was the only place he can find any answer he needed. For the sake of secrecy he can't ask anyone about it.

After a few days, Hoseki was informed that Guy and Kakashi would also join the graduation exam.

Hoseki did expect Kakashi would take the exam. As for Guy, he was quite surprised. While Guy was weak on ninjutsu and other skill, he would have trouble in the exam except for combat.

Unknown to Hoseki, Guy decided to take the exam after hearing about him going to graduate. Training with Hoseki, Guy felt he would be left behind if back down when his friend going forward.

For the sake of exam, Guy has stop his training with Hoseki and decided to go for solo training. Guy was also cramping with his father for other subjects study. Except for ninjutsu and genjutsu he poured all his efforts for the graduation exam.

As for Hoseki, stopping his training with Guy also gave him more time to study about steel energy. One must say, To study about energies takes a lot of effort and energies themselves.

To finds about energy, Hoseki ransacked all the subjects book which contains information about energy. To his efforts, he found that there is no such thing as steel energy recorded in any scroll and books.

Looking to result of his research, Hoseki refuse to believe that it was not exist. As system demand for it, the energy must be somewhere.

On second thoughts, he also believe that maybe the energy was found but never recorded or recognized.

So, Hoseki decided to study what is the energy itself. How can he recognized it as an energy. What is the substances it self. And how do the energy is produced.

Hoseki remembered, when he studied fuinjutsu, the teacher once told him a philosophy of knowledge. "Any unsolved problems you have, the answer can always be found in the basic itself."

Hoseki believed if he can recognized the characteristics of the energy and how they were created, not only he can solve the problem on steel seed but any other future seed like wood and beast seed.

On the other side, the academy office were facing many requests for graduation exam. It was known to the students that Hoseki, Kakashi and Guys will going to take graduations exam. First when they heard about Kakashi, the students were clapping their hand for him as they already acknowledged Kakashi as a genius.

Later on, when Hoseki and Guy were added to the list, the students reacted differently. They frowned to accept Hoseki into the list, but at least Hoseki has good academy records.

But when Guy's name were included, the students show their dissatisfaction toward him. It was publicly known that Guy is a student with no talent to be a ninja. To graduate or attempt on graduations is a humiliation to them. So, many students and parents came forward asking to take on graduations exam.

Author note: I don't know how to say this.

Sometimes Hoseki has quite arguable character. Some will say he is coward at some point. Some will said he is too conceited. So I will just said this.

He is 5 years old boy. Even with the isekai memories, that doesn't makes his characters change or act like grown up. He might be smart boy but a boy still a boy. He knows many things will happen in future but he has no power to stop them. While worried about future, he still need to struggle to become stronger.

I want to build some character for him for now. He is building his fundamental on his character and strength for the moment.

You won't find much fight before he became Chunin. He will fight a bit but not much. Sometimes he will just run from fight.

I don't wish to put too much power on him for now. He will learn about hardship on his way to power. So when he hold huge powers he knows how to appreciate them and people around him.

I understand it is not my original story but I really want to put my character into the story.

Well that it from me. For now. Sorry it a long thought so I can't put the in column.
