Are you ready to embark on a new adventure to a high school campus with teen werewolves, where the competition is not between Alpha and Alpha for the territory, but an Alpha and a Sigma- or are they even competitors? David Matthew, the Alpha-in-training of the Eclipse Pack has been preparing to take over the leadership of his pack and over the disputed Crescent territory by fighting his prime enemies- the Alphas of the Orion and Moon packs. But his expectations are largely subverted when he finally comes face-to-face with the rumoured Alpha of the Moon pack for the first time, Nora Rovery. _ Nora Rovery has led a mostly secluded life uptil now- scorned by her father, disregarded by her mother and her existence largely hidden from the public eye, under a carefully-crafted web of lies. She has understandably set high hopes for her first day at the new high school- which promptly seems like a bad idea within the first thirty seconds of encountering the school bully, David Matthew. Come along on this ride with David and Nora, who are born to be enemies, but end up forging their own path, true to their rebel spirits.
Hugs are the best blessing for the entire world from the deities from the sky, as they not only hold the power of making you feel safe and hidden from the entire world, but also have the strength to erase all your tension within seconds.
But not when the person hugging you is the main reason of your tension, or worse your greatest tension itself!
And this realization hit Nora the moment she was completely encircled by his strong arms, and somehow, started to feel a little too comfortable.
"You… you are hugging me."
She managed to utter the words that had been roaming in her mind since the last few minutes, finally realising that she was not strong enough after this rollercoaster bubble ride.
"And you stole my first kiss. I guess this could be the one and only thing where we could finally settle on-"
"Excuse me! It wasn't me, but you who stole my first kiss."
She spoke as another realisation settled in: this hug, and him knowing her greatest secret, were not the only things she needed to worry about.
There was something more.
This was the moment David finally overcame all the thoughts wreaking havoc in his mind.
He finally decided to open his mouth, coming to the conclusion that Nora was too innocent to be doing anything like giving the drug to anyone else.
He was about to let go of her completely, when he felt an electric shock jolting his bones, as she mustered her entire strength and pushed him away from herself.
Inadvertently, she had proven his doubts about her being a victim of that drug at the same moment, since this was the first time that he had experienced this much energy radiating from her.
"You… you-"
"I am- I am sorry… I didn't mean to, I am sorry! It's just I haven't taken my medicine yet and this bubble ride….I am sorry! David, you're okay right?"
Nora spoke with concern, pulling him up from the ground, and checking on him.
She was expecting him to say something or be mad at her, but for a moment, she noticed something unrecognizable in his eyes.
He looked directly in her eyes, and grabbed her shoulders once again, asking;
"Medicine? Which medicine, Nora! Tell me? Tell me, which medicine? Tell me the name of it-"
"Opthi-"
He didn't even let her complete the answer he had shaken out of her, when he jumped up from the ground and stood on his feet.
"Okay! Enough of this hide and seek Princess, let's talk business."
Letting out a long exhale, he spoke up;
"You are not allowed to say anything to anyone, about whatever happened between us-"
"What do you mean, I am not allowed to say anything to anyone -"
"Never say anything about all of this in front of anyone, never mention anything about this in front of anyone, don't even think about this; or else -"
"Or else what? You yourself are going to expose my identity, aren't you?"
Nora spoke, finally making him realise that amidst all the chaos and the fear of Nora taking the opthimelon drug, he had completely forgotten about the reality that was going to shake the entire Kingdom.
At this time, he should be worried for one and only one thing: the throne, and its future successor. But for some reason, all he was worried about was Nora and her well- being.
He realised that the chasm between those opposing pillars of reality was so deep that he couldn't really fill that gap in just one day; so the best option was to stay in the role she was accustomed to seeing him in.
And with this thought, he cleared his throat and spoke;
"I never assumed the Princess to be this clever, but somehow you always make my assumption false and show me a new colour of yours."
"What do you want-"
"That's a very big question, I guess. Let's see, what do you have to give me?"
He retorted, placing a finger under her chin and tilting her face slightly upwards. And before she could say anything, he spoke once again;
"Let's leave this deal open for now. You just have to keep your mouth shut and I promise my lips are sealed.
And also one more thing Princess, don't forget to fear me."
Saying this, he winked at her with a smirk playing at his lips as he turned around and started walking away from her direction.
Nora knew he was not going to look for her or that he wasn't the least bit interested in whether or not she was alright. So, she had to walk alone towards her destination - the school building.
_____________
Nora had finally stepped inside the school building, but the haunting thoughts were not ready to leave her mind, even for a second.
This is why she was just walking in a straight line, without realizing or taking any account of her surroundings.
Continuing her march, she barged into Robin's chest; but she would definitely not have recognised him, if he had not opened his mouth to say,
"Are you planning to pay a surprise visit to the boy's dorm once again?"
"Huh?"
"What huh? Where are you lost? Has anything happened to you? Are you alright?"
"A kiss! A hug, and my biggest enemy knowing my biggest secret- this is a list of the few events that have happened in the last few minutes… and if these are not enough, then I have lost the daily dose of my medicine and I am not able to find it. According to Romera, I am only allowed to contact my parents once a month; and technically it hasn't even been a complete week since I have come here.
And the worst thing about all of this, is that David is ready to blackmail me."
Nora wanted to say all this in one breath, but she braced herself in time.
She was about to open her mouth to say something else, when she heard Louis' voice as he appeared there out of nowhere and screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Sweetheart, Robin you guys are here! I have been looking for you for half an hour, come with me."
And with this, he grabbed one hand each and started dragging the two of them towards the back lawn of the school.
