CHAPTER 7

Reinforcement

I went towards the Hokage tower with sunshin. Something urgent has happened.

I reached outside the door and knocked.

"Enter !"

"Hokage sama." I bowed.

"I have an urgent mission for you. Team seven has entered an unexpected situation. Despite knowing the increase in rank jonin Hatake has continued the mission. But now he is injured. So I want to go there as a reinforcement. Negotiate with the clients. If possible complete the mission or retrieve our genin team along with the jonin sensei. The mission details and the terms of negotiations are written in this scroll." He handed me over a scroll. "You have to leave as soon as possible. You are dismissed."

I went back to my house. Packed the scroll and wrote a massage to Naruto. Then I added a flash bang and my shambles seal. Concentrating on the kunai that I have given to Naruto, I switched. In an instance, the paper in my hand was replaced by a kunai with a thick handle. It has the same mark formula on it. At the end there was a small plush frog head attached to its fingerhole. I have given him ten minutes. In the mean time I red the contents of the scroll.

Naruto felt something odd. Then suddenly light emitted from his ninja pouch. Sakura screeched and Sasuke got into fighting stance. It seems he can't even eat dinner peacefully.

"Sigh ! Don't panic. I will see." He opened his ninja pouch and the light faded away. Instead of a kunai he found a letter. After reading it he smiled.

"Guys, grampa Hokage has sent reinforcement. A tokubotsu jonin. She will reach here in ten minutes."

"How the hell do you know that Naruto ! And where the hell did you get that from ?" Sakura screeched. Honestly he doesn't know how in the world canon Naruto liked the banshee. "I have my ways." Naruto shrugged.

After ten minutes I switched with the letter. Sakura screeched and Sasuke took out his kunai.

"Yo !"

"Hello Naruto."

"Wh-who are you ?" Sakura asked stuttering.

"I am Hugarashi Tenten. Tokubotsu Jonin, Konoha. Now can you tell me where is your client?" I saw Sasuke narrowing his eyes. He didn't tell anything but pointed at tazuna. Tazuna has finished his dinner.

"Hello tazuna san. I will take some time of your's we have something to discuss." I said I in a voice leaving no place for argument.

He nodded at me.

"I will get straight to the point. You have lied about the mission. So the previous mission has officially cancelled. But Hokage sama has considered your situation and has gave you an offer. If you agree, then we will continue the mission. Or else we will leave ."

Tazuna visibly gulped down.

"What is it ?"

"You will either pay for an A rank mission now or you will give hidden leaf village the authority over the bridge once it's completed. These are the two conditions."

I saw Tsunami flinching and Tazuna frowning at me.

"We don't have money to pay !"

"You can always choose the second option. It's not my problem. We are not heros. So either you accept or we will leave."

Tazuna's frowning deepened. Then he released a sigh. "Fine ! I accept the second condition."

"Very well."

After our negotiation finished I turned to Naruto.

"Where is Kakashi ?"

"He is resting in that room. He is unconscious."

I went with him to see Kakashi. His leg was injured. And there is a large gash on his chest.

"Zabuza did a number on him. And when he was about to deliver a killing blow a hunter nin attacked us. This time he didn't hide it. After he escaped with Zabuza , Kakashi summoned a dog to carry a massage and then immediately passed out."

I went near him and performed mystic palm technique on his wounds. I have picked up some medical techniques from Momo. Sasuke and Sakura entered the room. I am no expert in medical jutsu. So it took me about 20 minutes to heal him.

"Will he be fine ?" Sakura asked.

"He should wake up by tomorrow. But not sure he will be able to move."

"Chakra exhaustion ?" Sasuke asked.

"Yes. Naruto, you will be the scout. Search the area. I will put up some traps around."

Naruto nodded and left.

"What about us ?" Sasuke asked. Surprisingly he is not acting rash.

"I don't know about your skill set. If you tell me-"

"How do you know Naruto ?" Sakura cut me off.

"We are friends." I looked at her irritated.

"Anyway, for now, guard Tazuna. We will talk tomorrow."

Kakashi was reading the scroll given by hokage. For not taking right decision, Hokage removed him from the position of team leader. Instead I will lead the four of them. It's funny really. His rank is above me and yet I will lead him.

"So, what about Zabuza ? How many days do you think he will take to heal ?" I asked Kakashi.

"Atleast a week."

"That's good. I will get enough time."

"Sensei, how are we even going to face him second time when we barely survived the first time. And now that hunter nin is with him?" Sakura was scared. That much is obvious.

"For that I will be training you."Kakashi said eye smiling.

"How is a little training is going to help us against Zabuza ?" Sakura was complaining.

"Don't act like this. Who knows this training might save your life." Kakashi said.

"What are you going to teach them ?" I asked Kakashi. And the answer was same as I expected.

"Tree climbing."

"... seriously !"

"Yes."

"Then I will guard Tazuna and the bridge. And Naruto will guard Tsunami and Inari. I don't want Gato to create any hostage situation. You can train the other two in the mean time" I ordered.

Kakashi nodded. Probably assuming that I have already taught that to Naruto.

"Wait ! Why Naruto is on guard duty ?" Sasuke asked.

"Because I already know the exercise. Both tree climbing and water walking." Then he proceeded to walk on the wall until he was standing upside down on the sealing.

Sasuke greeted his teeth. And seeing his expression, Kakashi decided to avoid the topic and told them to meet outside after breakfast.

On the first day of guard duty, some of the Gato's thug came to harash the bridge builders. But none of them returned normal. Atleast not without a broken limb. Thankfully, they stopped after their third try, when I decided to cut off the legs of a thug who was attempting to kill one of the bridge builders. The days passed quickly. On the fourth day. Some thugs came to kidnap Inari. But Naruto took care of them. By fifth day, Kakashi was on his feet. So I and Naruto decided to take a brake.
