Chapter 5

"A-Ash what do you mean? To be a mercenary? Why would you want such a thing? If you join the Vatican, they can both train you and at least live safely until you meet the qualifications." Jin said.

"I just want to be a mercenary, it doesn't matter if they train me or not. Just give me money and a mission. But it doesn't mean that I will do everything on behalf of the Vatican, I want to be able to choose the mission I will go to." I answered.

"All right, but first I need to test your skills. Lets spar."

"Okay."

I took Rasaka's Fang in my hand. Getting the Knight Slayer right now would be a hassle.

"That dagger is pretty interesting." Then Jin pulled out a sword. But the sword wasn't a very strong sword, I guess Jin wouldn't use the same sword against me that he used against Sirzechs Lucifer. Anyway, if he used that sword, I could hold out for a second or so.

"Then I'll start the spar." Sapphire said.

I quickly moved towards Jin. My speed really surprised Jin as my agility stat was high. And I hadn't even used skill yet.

I started attacking Jin with my dagger. I was attacking fast, but I was making small mistakes on purpose, or if an 11-year-old boy was constantly aiming at vital points or fighting as if he was an expert in daggers, they would have been suspicious.

'This kid is really talented. Although there are minor mistakes he makes, most of his attacks try to bring them to vital points such as the heart and neck. Basara left to play with his friends, while Sapphire stayed in the city. Jin also took me to the council chamber.

And as far as I could tell from the energy emanating from the man, this man was almost as strong as Jin, they could even be equal, I couldn't really understand right now. The man had several scars on his face, and it was clear from his appearance that this man was a warrior who had fought dozens or even hundreds of battles.

"Ahem! Now, I hear you want to join the Vatican as a mercenary." Immediately in the middle of the seats, the man wearing the most magnificent clothes began to speak.

"That's right." I answered.

"Instead of being a mercenary why don't you want to attend church like the kids here."

"I don't want to be affiliated with any group. All I want is to get stronger so working as a mercenary is the best option for me. I have fought and killed stray devils many times before. Also, even though I'm going to be a mercenary, I have principles and rules."

"What are they?" That huge man asked.

"I don't kill children. I don't kill innocents. I choose my task myself."

"So where did you get the idea that we would accept them?" Third man said.

"If you won't agree, don't waste my time." I said and turned around and started walking towards the door.

"Hold on, kid." Huge man said.

"What is it?"

"Before accepting all of them, I'd like to at least test your skills."

"Jin-san already tested."

"It doesn't matter, I want to see your power with my own eyes."

"Sigh.. Fine."

Then the man took me to the garden. Suddenly, a crowd of children appeared around us.

"Boy, haven't I introduced myself yet, have I? My name is Vasco Strada." Vasco introduced himself.

'One of the legendary figures again?! Another one of those legendary humans who entered the battlefield with just their fists and he defeated Kokabiel? '

There was a fighting area like an arena in the garden, surrounded by children, and the children around seemed to really like this man. Also among the children were Basara and with him three girls, one with blue hair, one with yellow and one with blue-violet hair. There were also a few boy too, so Basara seems to be popular around here.

"All right kid?"

"You can call me Ash instead of the kid."

"Okay Ash. I guess you're using a dagger, don't hesitate to use it."

"Nah I don't need it. If you use fists, the best way to show my strength is to use fists. If you were using a sword or a dagger I could use a dagger but you are using fists so I will use fists."

"Hahahahahah Okay Ash. Come at me."

The moment I released my mana, Vasco and the other church members were surprised along with Jin, after all, it was not uncommon for an 11-year-old boy to have a High-Ultimate class magic power.

"I think you're getting tired, Ash. How would you like to end this with one final blow? Use all your strength for one direct attack and I'll block it with all my might. But if you hold back then the deal is done."

"Fine. Prepare yourself."

I took a deep breath. And as I exhaled, steam began to come out of my mouth. I started loading my mana into my arms at full strength.

Currently, Ash's surrounding image wasn't what it used to be, before he had more calmly moving mana and quick attacks, but now a very dense and raging mana was surrounding him, and he looked like he could destroy the enemy at any moment.

Because those who fought with Vasco before, could not even damage Vasco's skin even if they used a weapon, but now an 11-year-old boy managed to bruise Vasco's arm with bare his fists.

"I'm okay with education, but I stopped being a kid for a few years so I don't really have any intention of doing that part. I have a purpose and for that I can no longer be a child." I said with a monotonous voice

And from that day on, my days of working and training as a mercenary in the Vatican began.

Hello dear readers, yes I have started a new story. Don't worry I didn't drop Tensura System, Reincarnated into anime or Dragon system. I just try new things and write whenever a story idea comes to mind. There will be disruptions in the chapters due to the fact that I enter the university and move from the family home to the dormitory. I'm studying German language and literature and the school I entered is a bit annoying. Who makes a quiz from week 2?! They make me very angry.
